One of the most underrated thrash bands of the eighties, shouldn’t have been the big four should have been the big five with these guys! Nice Day For A Funeral is chef’s kiss
The Big 4 isn't a popularity list, they're called that because they were the first 4 thrash bands to have platinum album sales. Nowadays a lot of thrash bands that are still around have platinum albums so there's that. You can't switch out or add onto The Big 4 because nobody else accomplished that feat first. It's like saying "The Colorado Avalanche should be on the list as one of the first 4 teams to have ever won the Stanley Cup", it's impossible.
@@KeremcanBuyuktaskin If I could swap out the Original 6 NHL teams for an All-Canadian NHL league I would but I'd have to invent time-travel first. Same if I wanted to change up the Big 4, I'd go back and have Metallica sign with Def Jam along with Slayer instead of Elektra. Then have Capitol sign Annihilator and Testament and Island sign Anthrax & Biohazard. F**k Elektra Records. Def Jam, Island, Capitol and Elektra are really the Big 4 but of the 4 labels Elektra was the worst, Metallica basically got neutered by them and Elektra went around signing any band that had any kind of connection to Metallica like Metal Church and Flotsam & Jetsam to use, abuse then replace them.

Overkill are the best Thrash metal band ever. The musician ship is out of this world. When Bobby Gustafson left the band , i felt it was such a tragedy for them , but they came back fighting although if you liten to their live set it still consists of 60% Gustafson stuff. Bobby Gustafson was such a talent , probably in the top 5 best Thrash metal guitarists of the 80's he could make a bands sound just fill a room as made it sound as good as a thrash band with duel guitars. Another thing about Overkill that gets over looked is that they never sold themselves out , they stuck to their Thrash roots and still do to this day. Which can't be said for at least two of the big four.

I always though that Overkill would better fit into the "Big 4" than Anthrax (I like Anthrax too, but Overkill is a little more technical, more serious band, and the performance is great on the complete albums)
I don't think Overkill cares about being in the big 4 the term big 4 doesn't mean that Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax are more talented or better than Overkill it only means that these bands have sold more albums than Overkill
I remember back in high school in the late 80's a buddy of mine would wear a Levi's denim jacket with patches of metal groups on the front and back and one of the main ones was Overkill.
Fuckin D.D. layed down some damned BASS! Produced back when labels still mixed what made the band sound good rather than trying to make what they thought would sell the most, letting the band and their music sell themselves. Thirty years later and it still rocks!
Metallica didn't sell out..I don't remember reading in the albums that they will be a thrash metal band till they stop making music..I stoped listening to them after load & reload like almost everyone but that doesn't make them sellouts
Well then your obviously not a true Metallica fan cause if you were you would know like all other Metallica fans that they ALWAYS said that they would never sell out by cutting their hair or changing tier music but they didn't keep their promise and now they can't sell any albums cause they music is shit now. Overkill, man I war etc are some of the ONLY BANDS that kept their promise and their fans really appreciate that and will cont to follow them for that. You REALLY should know what your talking about b4 you comment on shit. Makes you look like a dumb ass!
trxxxtr Metallica is an intresting band for sure. I think the black album is complete sellout, but after that people just started bitching about just because it was not trash. Load and Reload were pretty good albums for what they were. But nope, metal eletist must say it was trash because its another genre. Metallica's Death Magnetic was a pretty awesome album, despite the production. And Lords of Summer seems for a demo a step in the right derection. St.anger and Lulu were pretty freaking bad albums. And they are very good to their fans. They do all sorts of things with them. But nope, metal eletists must say that Metallica is bad on every metal video, even when the topic is another band.
Metallica was only head of the thrash movement when they had Dave Mustaine, after Megadeth and the rest of the big four, I'd say it's fair to agree they were at the bottom.
These guys absolutely shred I wish I found them sooner shout out to pandora suicidal tendencies station for introducing me to these cats and Testament 🤘🏽

So been said everyone has there favorite thrash metal band some one that you got your first lay to or maybe drank your first beer and smoked a joint to maybe you road around with your buddies chasing tail and blasting through your 6x9's ELIMINATION what ever thrash and metal is what you make it for me its a life style its a living its entertaining
Thrash metal band from Brazil! Thanks

ESTA VOZ É INCONFUNDÍVEL. 🇧🇷
One of the best metal drummer of the 90':SID FALCK!
All my respect for this great drummer!🙏
VERY underrated band! One of the best riffs ever!
This is the way a metal video should be. Either full story video, or this: just the band thrashing out, and actually showing what they play.
2:21 low string mutes or whatever you call em tie in so perfect. Favourite part of the song. I was living in Regina, Saskatchewan when I discovered this song
Love this band so much.
BEST OVERKILL ALBUM🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
This is the song that started my Overkill listening journey of 30+ years
Overkill are the best Thrash metal band ever.
Terminal, what disease?
You told me too late
What's that cough and wheeze
Fatal?
You're shitting me
A second opinion is what I need
Laughing in a windstorm
Blowing all the cornstalks down
Crying in a funeral home
Forward my mail, six feet underground
Elimination, elimination
Elimination, elimination
Contagious, say why not?
Not just me, waiting to rot
Painful, yeah I know
It couldn't be easy when I had to go
I'm yanking on my plug and
I can't seem to get it loose
Pulling all the stops
Your ideals change
When you got nothing to lose
Elimination, elimination
Elimination, elimination
Eliminate the right
Eliminate the wrong
Eliminate the weak
Eliminate the strong
Eliminate your feelings
Eliminate, too late
Eliminate the hope
Eliminate, eliminate
If I had just one more day
I'd turn it all around
I'd make a play of good clean living
And dig me out of the ground
And if I had just one more day
I'd say it to your face
I'll pull the plug on everyone
Eliminate this race
We want to cure and we want to know
Reissue hope, we don't care how
You're making a mess
Diseasing a nation
Runaway train to elimination
Hopeless, there's no doubt
Set on a slow burn from the inside out
Careful, what for?
Last one out closes the coffin door
Spending all you saved
And wishing for a little more
If I'm looking at the ceiling
Then I must be laying on the floor
Elimination, elimination
Elimination, elimination
Terminal, what disease?
You told me too late
What's that cough and wheeze
Fatal?
You're shitting me
A second opinion has gotta be
Laughing at the epidemic
Something is going around
Crying at the epidemic
Pulling all nails, six feet underground
Elimination, elimination
Elimination, elimination
Eliminate the right
Eliminate the wrong
Eliminate the weak
Eliminate the strong
Eliminate your feelings
Eliminate, too late
Eliminate the hope
Eliminate, eliminate
Elimination, elimination
Elimination, elimination
Eliminate the right
Eliminate the wrong
Eliminate the weak
Eliminate the strong
Eliminate your feelings
Eliminate, too late
Eliminate the hope
Eliminate, eliminate
This was the song that got me to fall in love with the heavier thrash. When I first saw it on Head Bangers Ball back in the day.
Over Kill !!! this is timeless 🤘🏻
Such a great song & band 🤘🏻
And suddenly, in March 2020, this has become frighteningly relevant.
They’re from Jersey too. Hella scary.
I was 14 years the this song came out. This is priceless music form a very talented band. Talented bands like overkill don't exist anymore. I am glad i was alive and young when years of decay was released. Good times.
still cant believe this overkill got hella famous such a underrated band
damn lemmy was in overkill
i was talking about the guitarist that looks like lemmy, with the moustache and sunglasses
+Phantom Dancer that's Bobby Gustafson
Phantom Dancer Dave mustaine was in motorhead... I think
Lemmy would not be able to play this song
Just a guitarkeeper)
I grew up in the 80s. Best times of Trash Metal genre. For those who say “Overkill is underrated,” No! They were never underrated. You just get to know them now 😉🤟🏻
Absolute Masterpiece!
Nelson Oyarzun * master of puppets :v
Nelson Oyarzun no piece of time is an absolute masterpiece R.I.P roger

Well made Thrash Metal video. The shot and editing is awesome, this is how to produce a Metal video 🤘🏻😘

Wooooa....that was my first entrance into Speed/Thrash Metal...exactly 30 Years ago..didn't knew there exists a Musicvideo. Love IT!!!!
Bobby Gustafson is one of the most underated guitarists. Stinks he tried for the Hetfield look in this video. Good stuff
A lemonade the right
A lemonade the wrong
A lemonade the weak
A lemonade the strong
A lemonade your feelings
A lemonade too late
A lemonade the hope
A lemonade a lemonade
jajajajajaja
UAJAUAJAUA xD
greekcarrot HAHAHAHHAHA +10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A lemon nation!!!
OMG I almost fell of mi chair !!!!!!!!! jajaja Now I can´t hear the song without laughing!!!
Still one of my alltime favorite songs, albums & bands from this genere!
OVER KILL...thrash perfection....................
I always though that Overkill would better fit into the "Big 4" than Anthrax
(I like Anthrax too, but Overkill is a little more technical, more serious band, and the performance is great on the complete albums)
I don't think Overkill cares about being in the big 4 the term big 4 doesn't mean that Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax are more talented or better than Overkill it only means that these bands have sold more albums than Overkill
MY IDEA IS TO MAKE A [ " THE BEST 4 OF THRASH"] THE LIST WOULD BE VERY DIFFERENT BOYS!!!!!
Anthrax should be behind overkill, exodus, testament...
It ain't about skill it's about popularity... Hence Big 4
Well, I agree. I would like to see overkill instead of anthrax too. But, I would like to see Testament in there more than Overkill.
I remember back in high school in the late 80's a buddy of mine would wear a Levi's denim jacket with patches of metal groups on the front and back and one of the main ones was Overkill.
Crying in a funeral home forward my mail six feet underground Priceless lyrics!
These guys have been jamming longer then most youtubers have been alive. Long Live Chally and Overkill
Fuckin D.D. layed down some damned BASS! Produced back when labels still mixed what made the band sound good rather than trying to make what they thought would sell the most, letting the band and their music sell themselves.
Thirty years later and it still rocks!
These guys are living legends! Thanx so much for not selling out like Metallica etc. thanx also for going bk to ur roots guys! \m/
HlebHD no, they did sell out cause the never staed true to thier sound consitering that the were the head band of the trash metal movement
trxxxtr Metallica is an intresting band for sure.
One of the best Thrash Metal Songs
Brutal song. Still holds up ! Absolutely
Well kids you should get your facts before defending an arguement. Heres a great example.. Overkill was formed as a band before metallica which makes them automatically the kings of thrash.. anything said past this point is automatically looked over... :)
I'd like to agree but they started out as punk at first :)
Teagan Dawson that's how thrash was made
Well buddy sorry ruin your knowledge but metalilica were form before overkill metallica started in 1980 81 overkill summer of 81
My first song and reason i love overkill
My mom used to play this song when i was about 7 years old, i remember singing along with this but say Lemonade all the time :D
An awesome mom
A LEMONADE ATE THE WEAK
Одна из лучших металлических композиций на Земле , за всю историю рок музыки !!!
Opening up for them at shows was a pleasure. The tones man
This is a fucking classic
No shit

AY! LEMON NATION! AY! LEMON NATION!
@Crucifere 616 what's your problem? Hes an otaku/weeaboo or whatever we are metalheads. We both are technically nerds I dont see the problem we just like different things more...
HEY MEN THE PRONUNTIATION OF VOCALS OF ELIMINATION IT S A
As good as it gets. None better. B Blitz the best!! Still going strong after what seems a lifetime of hard bad ass music. FU I’m from NJ.
Simply timelessly cool 😋🤘
Best lineup still Bobby G. Was in the band..
Both Dave. N Ron..
This CD is GOLD from BEGINNING TO END!!!
Hello, we are a new thrash metal band , would really appreciate your feedback on our latest track (be it good or bad) "Suscrofa - Misfits". Thanks! (Sorry for the shameful self promotion but if we don't promote ourselves our music will get lost in the immensity of TH-cam) Cheers!
Anyone else sensing some major Metallica One video similarities? Never noticed that until just now. Wow!
Yeah! and the intro riff almost sounds like Master
Has a Holy War/One video vibe to me.
similar to master of puppet song
This one have bass
@@Sawyer4215 Just inspired, tons of songs Metallica has made that are "ripped off" because of similar sounding riffs from older bands. Many bands to it.
Best thrash EVAR!!!
Classic Overkill. Amazing.
Bobby Gustafson, was that good they need and still now 2 guitarist to replace him....
I totally agree Bobby was amazing and a total badass he just fit right into the whole Overkill attitude. I love the lineup now but still miss Gus
Imagine what would have happened if Danny Spitz had stayed with Overkill instead of joining Anthrax!
Pleeffleep The average height of the band would be significantly lower.
He'd probably still be making high end watches now.
Blitz always wanted two guitarists
Overkill is badass
I'm old and
love metal. I grew up in the Megadeth and Metallica era. That said this is in my top ten metal videos of all time
Old school thrash.
I remember when I watched this video for the first time at my grandmother's house in Mexico. Brings back some memories!
One of the best metal songs ever!
one of the most underrated thrash metal bands :(
Everyone should really check out Overkill's new album. Also, look up Armorist, a badass new song, if you haven't already.
[ BOBBY GUSTAFSON IS A ONE MAN SHREDDING MACHINE 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
