My black&white to color moment came at an Irish whiskey tasting when I had my first dram of Red Breast. Compared to 4 other Irish whiskeys it was amazing.
Igor's Dream is a Russian Imperial Stout made by Two Roads brewing in Stratford, CT that is aged in Rye Barrels. However, this is a new concept to me, adding a third level of flavor going from Bourbon to Stout to Rye. That yacht idea had me immediately thinking of Nathan Detroit's Oldest Established Permanent Floating Craps Game in New York.
I'm almost embarrassed to admit, I work within walking distance of Bent and have yet to try 'em. This review will likely change that. Nice to see the home team do good.
I just messaged the local coffee roaster down the street from my house to see if they have any sacks available for purchase or if they'd be willing to just give me some for free
My local Costco (Lake in The Hills, IL) has the Single Barrel Select for $52. Bought a bottle and tasted it against original 9yr and their 12 year. IMHO- Hands down, single barrel wins! The longer it sits, the better it gets IMHO. The 12 yrs is awaesome, but not worth $75+/bottle IMHO. Original 9year is my go-to Old Fashion bourbon. I always have a premade bottle of Old Fashions in the freezer! Happy drinking!
Rex, you're going to need a live aboard craftsman to make custom bottle racks for the different size bottles as you replenish the Whisky Ship. I volunteer. Made of Wood (I know your favorite) or metal or graceful Carbon fiber, We can work something out to properly support and display the bottles (gracefully).
Can you guys do a 3 part series on the Tribe channel of the best finished American whiskies? Bourbon, Rye and American Whiskey (Single Malt, Blended, etc).
Man, I would love it if you guys could ship directly to me in Japan! I'd order crates and crates. Here's an idea, just mark the boxes "Fragile" and "Totally not whiskey" and ship them to me by Fedex.
Do you guys ever find that a bottle of new make ever needs to "breath"? I brought home a bottle of Manatawny Four Grain White Whiskey and the first day I had it home it was super terrible tasting, almost how you sometimes describe faints in whiskey. I came home to it the next day and the whole thing smoothed out and now it has really interesting notes that remind me of a young rum agricole or a dry dessert wine. Would love to hear ur take on this
Great episode! Ummm...if you could post affiliate links to the whiskeys you review, you would be rich as Creosus and I would be broke. Wait a minute. I'm broke now. So here's to the affiliate links happening!!! 🍻
Reminder I drove 24 hrs to get that bottle to you guys! Was a great trip.
Sounds like something I would do.
I live within 10 miles of this distillery. Now I have to try it. Thanks guys!
Wonder if they have it in their taproom. I live here too
@@kikkirow Top ten Liquors right next to their taproom has this available.
It's always a good episode when these two just start reminiscing and laughing about stuff.

Rex hasn't seen The Jerk?! Now that's something that needs to be remedied immediately.
I thought that was his role model.
This should be enforced viewing.
"You mean I'm gonna stay this color?"
Ask any IT person, The IT Crowd isn't fiction. It's a documentary. "Have you tried turning it off and on again?"
For me it’s, have you cleared cache and cookies?
As a IT person, I second this post and send confirmation.
@@jeffdavidson3975 "Are you using Edge? Or Safari?"
@@JAF30eww...to both edge and safari
For the IT person it doesn't even take 5 mins to understand IT Crowd is special.

I've been watching the videos in reverse order, to catch up, and it's really interesting to hear the yacht conversation, but backwards. lol
AWW Yeah MN in the house!
I was just looking for ways to sound proof some rooms and that idea is freaking brilliant.

time to check your watches ladies & gentlemen... oh
GOOD MORNING YOU MB'S... 🥃
Always loving the reviews, still finding it almost impossible not to LOL at Rex's hipster man-bun.

I.T. Crowd is hilarious. Noel (the closet goth) is a comedian and was an M.C. for the great British bake off for several seasons.

Rex would turn the Bookmobile idea into a Whiskeymobile
Thanks guys for the video 🥃
Hey Rex, heard you on Andrew Heaton's podcast. It was a good listen.
Someone didn't Spring forward.

If you liked The IT Crowd try The Mighty Boosh. Some of the same people are in it.
IT Crowd is 11/10 incredible
Morning. Still on Standard time???
This one sounds interesting. I’ll probably never see a bottle of it, though.

You just say the word and I'll be packed in on that cruise!🤣✌️🥃
Y'all can just drydock a yacht on the property, or build a very large pool to put it in... so many ideas :)
Mm, yes, I also detect a hint of burlap sound absorber in this whiskey as well~
I need this
Kickstarter for the whiskey yacht
The guy who wrote The IT Crowd also wrote Father Ted. Graham Linehan is his name.
I'll have to put IT crowd the top of my next shows to check out. Got any other recommendations?
If you dig IT's sense of humor, I would check out black books.
Anything with the word Cunk.

Yacht Vault!
Can some one tell me what show they were referring to please?
If you bought a yacht and invited all the MBs, you should name it, the Crowded Yacht.
What about partnering with curiada
Yacht whiskey. You could get some barrels and age at sea as well.
So, it appears that when Rex is "out of office," there is a time warp, apparently their clocks are not reset yet....
I'd sail on that yacht.
Looks like something donated by somebody named Phreak Mac! No diss!
fuckin right! 🤣
"OPTI-GRAB" was the patten name.
"I'm disabled!"
It's a scooter not a sailboat.

So, bottom line, get Bent? 😁
DENT, not bent... but might as well get bent too... lol

What.
I can just see it... Briana as cruise director. And maybe sometimes, bartender. You'll need white uniforms, of course.
