  • Translation:
Sion, praise the Savior, praise the leader and the shepherd, in hymns and songs.
Dare as much as you can: because He is greater than any praise, nor can you praise [Him] enough.
A theme of special praise, living and life-giving bread is proposed today.
That this was given at table of the sacred dinner, to the group of the twelve brothers, there is no doubt.
Let praise be full, let it be sonorous, let it be joyful, let it be a fitting jubilation of the mind.
For a solemn day is celebrated, in which the first institution of this meal is recalled.
At this meal of the new King, the new Pasch of the new law ends the old Passover.
Newness chases old age away, truth [chases] shadow [away], daylight eliminates night.
What Christ performed at the supper, He urged that it be done in His memory.
Instructed by the sacred precepts, we consecrate the bread, the wine into the victim of salvation.
Under the different species, signs only, and not things themselves, extraordinary things lie hidden.
Flesh is food, blood is drink: however, Christ entire remains under either species.
[Christ] is not severed by the partaker, nor broken, nor divided: He is received entire.
One partakes [of Him], a thousand partake: these as much as that one: nor, when parktaken of, is He consumed.
The good partake, the bad partake: with, however, an unequal share of life and death.
It is death to the bad, life to the good: behold how unlike is the result of like partaking.
Finally the sacrament having been broken, you should not waver, but remember that under the fragment there is as much as there is covered by the whole.
There is no rending of the thing: there is only a breaking of the sign, through which neither the status nor the stature of the signified is diminished.
Behold the Bread of Angels, become the food of the pilgrims: truly the bread of the sons, which cannot be thrown to the dogs.
It is presignified in types, when Isaac is brought to be sacrificed, the Paschal lamb is chosen, manna is given to the fathers.
Good shepherd, true bread, Jesus, have mercy on us: feed us, protect us, make us see good things in the land of the living.
You Who know and can do all things, You who feed us mortals here, make us there your table companions, coheirs and comrades of the holy citizens.

    Hello Everyone!!! 👋
As some of you may know, the Solemnity of Corpus Christi was just celebrated this past Thursday according to the Traditional Liturgical calendar of the Catholic Church and will be celebrated this Sunday in the New Liturgical calendar, so I wanted to do something special in honor of this feast day. I regularly chant for the Extraordinary form of the Mass at my parish and have been requested to make some chant recordings, and thought this would be a perfect opportunity! I want to thank Maria Vision USA for their outstanding work in assisting me in producing these videos!
Let me know in the comments if you'd like to hear more chant on my channel! Again, a huge thank you to Maria Vision USA! I hope you all enjoy!
    ~ Sarah 💕

Information on the Solemnity of Corpus Christi:
"[The] Feast of Corpus Christi, also called Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, festival of the Roman Catholic Church in honour of the real presence of the body (corpus) of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist... The Feast of Corpus Christi originated in 1246 when Robert de Torote, bishop of Liège, ordered the festival celebrated in his diocese. He was persuaded to initiate the feast by St. Juliana, prioress of Mont Cornillon near Liège (1222-58), who had experienced a vision. It did not spread until 1261, when Jacques Pantaléon, formerly archdeacon of Liège, became pope as Urban IV. In 1264 he ordered the whole church to observe the feast. Urban’s order was confirmed by Pope Clement V at the Council of Vienne in 1311-12. By the mid-14th century the festival was generally accepted, and in the 15th century it became, in effect, one of the principal feasts of the church."
