- Welcome to Good Hope Cannery in Rivers Inlet, BC.
This week we celebrated Marie-Claudes birthday at Wadhams, which is another old cannery site. We brought dinner and drinks, music and of course, the dogs! It was such a beautiful day to hang out at the beach. The guys deserved to chill after all the heavy lifting they had been doing in the kitchen. Preparing it for Jeremy to lay down the new floor.
As Im typing this, the floor is looking marvellous and has been mopped many times since its installation. Our new oven is now in use and Im excited about this because it's not your average oven. I'll show you some of the features that come on this new combi-oven.
Guests came and went as well as the lovely Kathryn Wykes, the helicopter pilot from Vancouver Island. I was lucky enough to be invited on a dog walk with Chelsey and Tony so of course I brought my drone. Im so excited to share all the beautiful footage from that trip over to the west side of Calvert island.

Jenny first of all thanks again for sharing this amazing part of the world with us. My family lives on tge wrong side of the border to the south in Washington. We love taking our 22' fishing boat loaded with the four of us North into Canadian waters each summer. My Wife was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and is doing an amazing job staying as active as she can throughout many surgeries etc. In the down time your videos have been a great way for all of us to slow down and adventure vicariously through your lens as we navigate these difficult times. I just wanted to say thanks again and that these videos are beyond just entertainment! Enjoy every sunset and every sunrise!!
Wow, this made me tear up. Im sorry to hear about your wife. I hope she's healing and staying strong. Im touched to be apart of your time together and so grateful to be able to make these videos and explore Rivers Inlet in person. Im always excited to share them with you. Take care.

Hi Jenny, I worked on a couple of projects at GHC many moons ago. It was an amazing experience and really enjoyed my time working there. I have been really enjoying your videos. Was good to see both the Cannery and Wadhams again. Good memories. :)

Thank you so much for the wonderful video. Never had a chance when I was up there to see Wadams. I always wondered what was there. It was still a resort then. As I think, I mentioned before. I got to go up there from about 1990 to 2006. 1995 and later with my own boat. Don't know if most you're subscribers know it or not. But Wadams is about the only beach there is at Rivers area.
You’re right. There’s aren’t too many beaches up this way. One of the staff favourites is called Open Bight and I hope to share a video from there at some point this year.

We had the floors redone last year so everything had to come out. It was a big project and it looks so much better!! Thanks for watching!!
