  • Welcome to our first Trust & Will webinar hosted by Member Success Lead Allison Fortson. In this webinar, we go over the basics of setting up a Trust with Trust & Will, funding a Trust, and commonly asked questions regarding trust funding.
    Part 1: Our Product
The first part of our webinar shows how members go about creating their Trusts through our proprietary platform. Allison explains how all of your information saves as you go and is safe and secure. You can also chat with a member success representative at any point through your Trust creation process.
She goes through every question we'll ask you and details the benefits of working with Trust & Will (i.e. access to unlimited updates, attorney support and more.) Lastly, she discusses how to have your documents downloaded and shipped to your home at no cost.
    Part 2: Frequently Asked Questions
"Can you add multiple properties to your Trust?"
Yes. Trust & Will's Trust allows you to add as many real estate properties as you own and can accommodate all US property.
"Can you list properties in your Trust from other states?"
Yes. If you create your Trust in California but have property in Texas, you can include that Texas property in your California Trust.
"If I already have a Revocable Living Trust, can I use Trust & Will to update it?"
Yes. You update most existing Trusts with Trust & Will. Just create an account and we'll ask you if you already have an existing Trust.
"For a couple, do both people need to be US citizens to create a Trust at Trust & Will?"
No. You just have to be a resident of a US state so that your documents can be legally notarized.
"If I already have an Estate Plan and I choose to create a new one with Trust & Will, does it cancel out my existing Plan?"
If you already have a Trust, it's best to update that existing Trust (which you can do with Trust & Will). If you haven't funded your existing Trust, you can create a new one with Trust & Will. If you have an existing Will and you create a new one with Trust & Will, your original Will will no longer be valid.
"How long does it take to create your Trust with Trust & Will?"
Our documents were created so that any member can go at their own pace. All of your information saves as you go. So if you have to think deeper about certain questions, you can always pause and come back.
"Once my Trust is notarized, is it considered valid and active?"
Yes. Your Trust is legally valid once it is signed and notarized. However, the next step you must take to ensure your assets are covered is to fund your Trust.
"Can you nominate guardians for your children in a Trust & Will Trust?"
Nomination of Guardianship would be included in what's called a Pour Over Will, which is included in Trust & Will's Trust-Based Estate Plan.
Thanks for watching! Stay tuned for our next webinar where we'll dive into everything you need to know about Funding your Trust.
