  • This video will show you step by step instructions on how to apply LA Weave Hair Extensions to ensure they are applied correct so there is no damage to your clients hair, the weft will be secure and no one would know that your client was wearing hair extensions even when they tie them up.
    This technique is fantastic on any type of hair, its simple, feels like secure clip ins, flat to the head, grows with your own hair.
    You can get them tightened within 6-8 weeks, then taken out and reapplied with the same hair every 3 months as long as you follow the aftercare the hair should last you at least one year.
    The hair I used in the video is the hair I supply for my clients, it is Russian Remy Hair grade 8A. I colour match, fit the hair, cut and style it to the length my clients desire. Some people use the extensions for thickness, some its for length and thickness.
    This technique roughly takes 1 hour to complete.
    In this video the tools I have used are:
    Tail comb, butterfly clip, metal section clips, ghd straighteners, tangle teeze.

    Hi! Loved this tutorial really informative. I qualified in weaves over a year ago and haven't done any. How many grams typically do you use for a full head please? X

      Hey Hayley, thanks for your kind words. Usually I would use between 80g - 150g depending on thickness of clients hair. There has been the odd few I’ve used 200g. Hope this helps, please subscribe 💓 let me know how you get on. Lorna x

    Hello honey!! So Do you go through the micro bead or just the hair above the bead that’s been fed into the micro? And when sewing are you putting the needle through the loop and pulling for extra security? I always find my weave slips easily xx

      Hey Hollie, I sew through the gathered hair and the micro ring, the more you loop it and more secure it will be, don’t leave too big a gap between your loops. You can even put some double knots here and there on the way round for extra security. Takes time and practise but when you master it it feels 👌🏼. Let me know how you get on. Lorna x

    Hey, how many grams are you using in this clients hair? I’m just starting out doing hair extensions and sometimes struggle with the amount to put in the clients hair x

      I usually use about 100g if it’s just for extra thickness and 180g if it’s length and thickness however with really thick hair at least 200g is required. Hope that helps ! X

    just got mine done a couple days ago and i cant stand the itchyness :S help

    • @GetitGlam
      @GetitGlam  ปีที่แล้ว

      If u just dab the areas that are itchy to releave it but if it’s sore itchy then they are maybe applied too tight. See how they are after a couple of days. Speak to the technician, before taking them out, you don’t want to waste your money.

    How long does the thread need to be please?

    • @GetitGlam
      @GetitGlam  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Charlie Phillips depends on the distance that your threading. You want to make sure there is enough so that you don’t run out and need to triple loop it again. This saves time and the weave looks neat and tidy at the roots. It’s not a problem thou if you run out and need to start again, this can happen.

    Do you sew the weft to the beads only?

    • @GetitGlam
      @GetitGlam  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Saddos Army you are sewing into the gathered hair all the way along. The gathered hair with the micro rings create a platform. I have also seen some people only sew at the micro rings also. 👌🏼✅
