    This is the exact technique I have done on my hair for the last year. Some advice/information for other people like me who were furiously researching methods: firstly I'm white with mid-back medium-thick and wavy hair and this is SO non-damaging to your scalp and natural hair. I never experienced tenderness after install/move-up. You can wear your hair in a braid or french-braid even, you can wear it in a ponytail etc. It does not show at all. I can go as long as 3 months before needing a re-install/move-up. OH and this is so easy to do at home - my boyfriend learned the technique at my request to save us money on my high-maintenance hair habits, we bought the tools online, and now I save money and have the beautiful 26" long hair that I've always dreamed of. I don't have any other method to compare too, but I LOVE this method so much and highly recommend it.

    I've been in the industry for 30 years and I think this is an innovative way to experience extensions without the inconvenience of corn rowing, bonds or even micro beading. it's a bit more time consuming than I like to invest but if you're trying to save a buck this is a great way to have this experience. great work. Hugs and tugs.

    Thanks for sharing this method! Couple questions…. Does the hair in the gaps between ever come out above the weft? People can be rough with their hair, it seems that could happen.
    Second, the beads are just left visible, or is there a way to hide them? Thanks so much!

    • @DontJustStandThere

      Copy/paste my message from above, although I can't answer your question, just a few concerns I had, hopefully helps w your research.
      "Some concerns about this method:
      Removal - with thread/sew method just cut thread and pull. However since hair is actually holding weft, does removing take a lot longer? Since you can't "cut" anything?
      Tangling - same as above. The hair is what's holding weft & if it tangles around the beads, how do you get it out?
      Damage - on same note as above.
      While thread/sew method does seem more involved & takes longer, my gut tells me it's less damaging, and I'll be thankful come time to remove/move up.
      Anyone have experience doing both, and comparing/contrasting methods?"

    I’ve had this done once using an easy-weft from Sunnyhair and it was a nightmare. Hair turned out to be yak and wavy once shampooed. Unfortunately, I have the straighten hair one can have and have allergies to animal dander and hair. Specifically ask for pure untreated human hair, but that’s not what I got. What I did get was a painful rash through my head, spots that balled, and an infection across my shoulders and mid back. It took 8 months to clear up, but much longer for my hair to grow back. .After removal I had so much hair that was twisted above the beading from natural shedding, but what I didn’t expect were the spots that all the hair literally broke off from the beads. Was a nightmare. Will never use beads ever again. Hate clip ins because the seem to increase migraines, tap ins were much more gentle, but felt bulky. So I’m kind of at a time where I don’t see a real solution for my thin hair. Tried the Halo, but color is also an issue. Can never seem to find a true dark brown that matches. They all seem to have a red tint or are just a shade too dark. Sucks because I must have $5K in extensions that I can’t use. Does anyone know where I can get 100% human, naturally straight pure dark brown 20”-22” extensions that might just suit my needs? Sorry I’m such a tough cookie, just sucks that I can wear animal hair. I’ve evn tried the expensive sets from a New York Salon that turned out to be wavy when wet.

    • @krisviers1449
      @krisviers1449 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Silicone lined beads-or 'double loop natural hair through bead.' (Take finer sect. Of natural hair, pull thru bead, slide tool up thru bead again (tool goes upwards towards ceiling), take same piece of hair and pull through bead again... You're creating a loop around the bead... Tighten towards parting, clamp bead.)Personally I still think silicone beads are necessary (anytime using beads, since it helps prevent hair breakage especially on damaged or fine hair... Otherwise it has the potential of breaking the hair off@the bead if crimped too tightly/flat)! Hopefully this makes sense 🤷😉

    Can you wear a high ponytail with those extensions?

    • @waveafterwave0723
      @waveafterwave0723 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      ZaraZenegal no . If you braided those strands instead of beading them, yes. I do it all the time and it is by far the safest least damaging for hair :) I’m about to do it now too!

      Yes you can. Just change the technique a bit to accommodate and you can do any style

    I am terrified of my hair breaking and having bald spots from extensions I haven’t tried this way yet but I’m going to do it today from what I’ve seen and heard it does not damage your hair so I’m excited but a little nervous as well

      Hey love I’m a hair extension specialist and I must have to say ItchyNess is a NORMAL con or having extensions.... like when I used to get sew ins extensions my scalp would start it badly itch from the 3rd day to about a week after . Just let the extensions loosen up a little bit then the itchy scalp should go away

      I’m a hairdresser- to me, 7 rows is a lot of hair.. especially if they are triple wefted. Your scalp is probably being overwhelmed by the weight.

    Doesn't seem like the strip she used was installed evenly, granted I know it was more about the technique than the actual application. And it would have been nice to have the camera zoom out in order to appreciate the actual end result.
    Just my opinion.
