      @@Obiamajoyisrmd He didn't say he is Kobe. @kevin said that the story makes him think of Luka...and there are parallels. Luka has played and excelled as a teenager (Euroleague MVP). How many teenagers do you know do stuff like that? You can say that the Euroleague isn't the NBA but give the kid some credit. He also led his country to a bronze medal game at the Olympics. Go watch some of those games and see his impact. I am a Lakers fan and love Kobe but I am also a big believer in this Luka kid. The way he dominates all NBA defence players (Kawhi, Paul George and now Bridges) one-on-one (especially in the post) is not something to sneeze at...and I believe he is only 23? Look at his playoffs scoring stats. The kid is coming. I am excited at what he is becoming. Dallas got a good one.

    Kobe played a local high school (Cathedral Prep) in my area for the PA State Title his senior year of HS. Everyone knew who he was of course and where he was going to be drafted etc. They triple teamed him, at least, every play. It worked for a little while, the first half Kobe actually struggled. In the 2nd half, still god damn triple teamed, this dude took over and Kobe’s team obviously won (it was still kinda close Tbh). The Prep team’s fans called him overrated and people watching at home who didn’t realize he was triple teamed thought he wouldn’t be all that and little did everyone know within a couple years they’d all feel real stupid. Shout out PA hoops

      That's been Kobe's NBA career too, they just call him names without context (usually from analysts/experts) who never played profesional basketball yet we got NBA legends, hall of famers etc that have him in their top 3 list. As a lifetime Kobe fan, the love that Kobe got after death was mostly fake love but real ones know how great he was.

    One thing about bron and kobe discussions is that bron fans thing kobe wasn’t an nba ready player in high school and only lebron at 15-18 was a man ready to play in the league. Kobe was ultra athletic, skilled and professional at such a young age like lebron but situation is what had kobe wait on the bench rather than given the keys to the team. All nba 3rd team first year as a starter should say it all and then all defensive and nba year after year.
    Personally believe if lebron got drafted to a team with van exel and Eddie Jones with a coach who didn’t believe in 18 year olds should be in the nba, he wouldn’t start either.

    • @AlphaDwg
      @AlphaDwg 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Kobe was a prodigy just like Lebron. I don't think anyone who really knows what they talking about think Kobe wasn't ready at 18. At 16 both players could have played in the NBA. Lebron is still the best 18 year old i've ever seen though. He got the opportunity to get the keys early but what he did with that opportunity no player has ever done and will probably ever do at that age.

Sorry he’s the closest thing yes but if you really watched him and not just media and hater narratives….he played differently from mike completely. He just mastered his moves so on paper you just accept the talking points.

    The one thing I always hated about how people view Kobe is that he was the closest thing to Jordan. They sum up his entire career, skillet, and individual personality as "almost Jordan." And that's just not the only thing Kobe was. Kobe modelled his game after Jordan yes (I mean who wouldn't) but he also did so many things differently. The way he spoke came from a competitive standpoint, like Jordan sure, but also from an intelligent standpoint that I don't think anyone in nba history comes close to. I believe Kobe was an actual genius, and nit just "basketball IQ," I'm talking actual genius scientist-level thinker. The way he spoke, the way he carried himself, especially in his later years, you can tell he was just different.

    Kobe was a prodigy but the dates don't add up really; Legler's last season in Dallas was 1993-1994, Eddie Jones didn't even make the league until 1994-95 let alone make an all-star team. Kobe was 15 years old that summer so maybe Legler just meant Kobe was playing well against soon to be rookie Eddie Jones, eventual all-star. But Jones' first all-star season wasn't until Kobe was a rookie and was 18 years old.

      @@yeseloraelsama8949 nah, kobe's level of obsession reached true insanity. Kobe had the competitiveness of Jordan, but his heart and soul was truly committed to the game. Jordan would golf, play baseball, gamble, etc. All just because he was competitive. But Almost everything kobe did had basketball in mind, some way to give him an edge. His insane daily regimen is the stuff of legend. played soccer to improve his footwork. He knew italian, so he used that base to learn other languages like Spanish to understand and communicate to his international players (like Pau), he retired and won an Oscar reminiscing on his history and love of basketball. God doesn’t want anybody in hell because He loves us, but you must understand why we deserve hell and why those who refuse to live under His authority will go there. He gave us the law (Ten Commandments) not to make us righteous, but rather to show us our sin (Romans 3:20). We’re not sinners because we sin, but rather we sin because we’re sinners. Sin is the nature of our flesh that we are born with due to the sin of Adam in the garden. For someone to be justified before God they have to be sinless. We’ve all sinned (Romans 3:23), and the the law demands death for those who sin (Romans 6:23). God is righteous, so He must punish our sin, which is what He did through His Son Jesus Christ on the cross. Jesus is Holy and sinless, yet He received our sin when He died on the cross, so that we can be righteous before God (2 Corinthians 5:21). When He died on the cross, He said “It is finished” (John 19:30), which means He paid the full price for all of your sins (past, present, and future) to be forgiven. He was buried and rose again from the dead. God will forgive anybody who puts their full trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. We aren’t saved based on our good deeds, but only by the grace of God (Ephesians 2:8-9). His precious blood that He shed is the only reason why we can be forgiven of our sins (Hebrews 9:22). If you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised Him from the dead, then you’ll be saved (Romans 10:9). You are born-again with the Spirit of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17), and are not only legally justified before God, but also are accredited His righteous (Romans 4:24). Believers live for Christ now, so get to know Him through His Word. I recommend reading the book of Romans and the gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John), and watching Pastor Joseph Prince’s online sermons
