He too might be tempted to go back to his people and say this was a factual account. You see we also have supposedly factual accounts of the exploits of hercules, and of Atlantis. One was written intentionally as a fiction (Atlantis) and was misinterpreted as a factual account by people a few hundred years later who took the story seriously, and the labors of hercules were sometimes written as first hand accounts, but we know from finding similar stories from earlier periods that hercules had already been a legend for quite some time. Even if a man such as hercules existed i doubt the supernatural 12 labors were credible as nobody spoke of them until after hercules had ample time to pass into popular legend. The account of hercules is similar to the Exodus of the bible as it was Not written by Abraham, but by other authors hundreds of years after the fact of its supposed events after it had ample time to pass into legend thusly making any account of the supernatural occurrences as unreliable as the legends of hercules.

@@GypsyPriest You as a Christian have read the Bible and would know that in the original Hebrew cities meant people and inhabitants as a collection of humans. Now as the Bible states the cities were brought to ashes and in another passage brought to ruin it never states that literally the city walls and foundations were brought to ashes or ruin. Those sinning people were burned to ashes and destroyed. And in knowing this you need to examine pictures of Pompeii in Italy where the temperature became well over 2,000 degrees and in a few seconds was incinerated. Those walls remained and many buildings also even though collapsed and burned and buried in ash. Also if sulfur and brimstone had come from near the salt lake from a flash over of a burned out meteor then the outer parameter would be riddled in the downward trajectory with sulfur and brimstone's as well. I can't believe no one is talking about that thing that Chad made Dr. Collins reluctantly tell us about without skipping a beat or forgetting a detail. Dr. Collins and Ron Wyatt both appear to fall well short of meeting the academic standards required for legitimate scientific research, so I'm not sure either is in any danger of being taken seriously by the scientific community. Dr. Collins's academic credentials are tied to a statement of faith that affirms "the inerrancy and historicity of the Bible" and "the divine work of non-evolutionary creation including persons in God's image" (1), so he's only ever going to be as accurate as the Bible. And Mr. Wyatt didn't appear to have received any formal archaeological training at all(2). It seems he's best known for having not found Noah's Ark and a number of other Biblical sites. Either way, I imagine it's going to be someone like Dr. Collins or Mr. Wyatt who finds the site because they're the ones out there looking. But they're basically going to have to do all of the heavy lifting themselves, and without the benefit of sufficient formal education, before the scientific community will pay attention to it. My guess is that the credentialed archaeologists aren't looking for Sodom and Gomorrah for the same reason that credentialed biologists aren't looking for bigfoot. If someone actually finds it, and properly proves it, then I'm sure the proper scientists will want to get involved. But there's a lot more interesting stuff out there that involves genuine new discoveries, not just confirming something people said a few thousand years ago. That's where all the exciting stuff is. When Dr. Collins gets all worked up about the astrophysicists who worked with him, he makes it sound like they're going to confirm that God did it. I'll have to look up what they published to see if they landed on the same conclusion that scientists currently have (a meteor that disintegrated in the atmosphere). And did Dr. Collins say "sometimes dinosaur-ending..." when he was talking about the meteor? That's the secular view of the extinction of the dinosaurs. The Christian view is that they were wiped out in the Great Flood. Maybe he was joking. Visiting and seeing Israel , Jerusalem and all the other cities that have already been archaeologically verified prove the Bible already . Jesus gave the disciples a command right before His ascension and it didn’t have anything to do with archaeology or the discovery of past artifacts ie ( Noah’s ark, ark of the covenant, ancient destroyed cities, a bronze serpent on a pole, or even The body of Moses,), and in my own opinion all that stuff doesn’t really convict a sinful soul to reach for the redemption of the resurrected Christ for salvation. The only thing that comes out of the ground that can save sinful man is Christ Jesus, because if not the disciples would have been majoring in archaeology and not humility! ......Noah’s Ark would be on display by now, don’t ya think 🤔! Luke 16:31 Abraham said if they don’t listen to Moses and the prophets they won’t listen even if someone rises from the dead. Romans 1:20 For since the creation of the world God‘s invisible qualities.... His eternal power and divine nature have been clearly seen being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. From what I read in the Holy Bible , it’s God’s opinion and option to use Fulfilled prophecy to verify God’s Word ( the Whole “Holy Bible”) and everything written down to redeem lost souls and not use lost artifacts to vindicate the Bible’s authentication. But for academic and educational reasons use your digging trials and goopas for whatever you want for God does not need your help to vindicate His word through the discovery of an artifact in the ground, but what came out of the ground 2000 years ago, Christ Jesus our Lord. So please correct yourself about the discovery of another destroyed ancient city to prove the Word of God to prove to the unbelievers hell is a real place, for in Romans 2:4 we read “ or do you despise the riches of his goodness, forbearance, and long-suffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance. Pretty clear here Brother in Christ.

Well @@User0809205, there is so much to chew on in your empty rant but I'll just ask you one question about (your) personal "academic" grasp of all that you think you know of this subject and that is, where are the academic, credited, people displaying the evidence of a meteor wiping out the giant reptiles of the past ? You know? like in the fossil record and all that stuff?
From what I've been able to gather... all of the fossils seem to have drowned suddenly... and they have found scads of Sea Life fossils in the most unlikely, high and dry places of the earth... So...
Wait, please excuse me for this, I want to ask a second question. what do you thin about the "academic" individuals who, while working in very secure and professional labs, have found "soft tissue" in some giant reptile bones, (supposedly "bazillions of years old")
If you only trust the graduates of our current educational system... Whoa Daddy, you're gonna get hurt, you may be crippled for life... intellectually.
Going by your standard, if I'm fishing in a mountain stream and notice something below the rippling water, sparkling like gold in the sunlight, I should pay no attention to it... because, (I have no degree in geology) so I know nothing about the aggregate of minerals, mineraloids, or fragments of other rocks. It would be foolish for me to waste my time trying to retrieve it... Right?
But stay there in your clearly defined box, I'm sure you are very comfortable there petting your pretty.
@@GypsyPriest I'm glad you were able to find so much to chew on in my empty rant. And thank you for giving me a few things to chew on myself.
I have more, but I'm getting an error when I try to post it. More to come...
Pretty clear here Brother in Christ.
don't appreciate the sexism but cool
