    So many good memories in this city. Half my family lives in Detroit and I used to live in Toledo, OH (50 mins south) and I remember partying at The Woodward and The Post every weekend having a ball in my early 20’s. I’ll always have love for this city and my family there will never leave they love it and always have good and bad. Now I’m living in New Orleans and I feel like I live in a small colorful Detroit lol.

    Drove by my office in Downtown Birmingham. LOL! How weird. I watch all your videos from around the world, and you're driving where I go regularly. It's so weird. Hahaha! Cool, but odd. I love Cranbrook. Lone Tree Road is my most favorite roads in Metro Detroit and so is Cranbrook. It's on par with Jefferson when you drive along Lake St. Clair in the Grosse Pointes on the Eastside. The homes are just as gorgeous. Gotta do Jefferson sometime out of Detroit. Grosse Pointe is old money. Birmingham/Bloomfield Hills is new money. Great drive! 👍

    Soooooooo Happy to finally see the nice areas. All you see and hear about the Detroit is Area is bad. This is just beautiful. Nice houses, but what I like the most is the landscaping. So lush and green. Thank you for sharing with us. Downtown also looking good. I was there in 1991 and it was desolate. Still has a long way to go, but the difference is amazing. This video makes me want to go to see it.

    I live here. This part of Bloomfield you visited is much like where I live in Southfield. Nice homes, but hardly "rich"-- more like really comfortable middle class. Detroit has some breathtaking neighborhoods. You need to talk to someone and get directions to the really georgeous neighborhoods of Bloomfield, Birmingham the Pointes or even Palmer Woods where the Fishers, of Fisher Body had a beautiful mansion. BTW, you could have edited out the long drive down Woodward if you just wanted to show Cranbrook.

      @@salemdesigns65 As respectful as I can be…I would never, ever set foot in Detroit. I would never set foot in Michigan to be honest. There is literally no reason for me to ever be near that region or that city. No amount of money could get me there. Not a free trip, not a free vacation, not even a dream job. I don’t like the Detroit Lions, the Detroit Pistons, and I don’t watch baseball so I do not like the Detroit Tigers. I do not like the Ford brand of vehicles, I do not like Detroit style pizza. I do not like the Detroit Red Wings either. Even if it was offered to me for free to read. I will never read the Detroit Free Press. I have never listened to or bought an Eminem CD or song. Would never be caught walking on 8 Mile. Although I love Jazz I will never visit Detroit for that. Grateful for Motown Records but that era was over 5 decades ago so can’t really give much credence to Detroit for contributing anything to music since. So basically, as you can tell, your comment did nothing but paint such an embarrassingly assessment of that downtrodden city that I hope from now on you understand that Detroit matters to you and the people that live there, but outside of it the majority of people think it’s a high crime and shitty place to live. Good day to you.

      Detroit is unlike most large cities. Detroit is a city with wide open streets with a large land mass. So basically, it is a wide city, not compact like most major cities of the world. There are many people who do walk around the city all the time with many activities. However, they are not packed in a small area where you would see large gathering of people. During summer, festivals, and sporting events you will see large numbers of people walking and enjoying themselves downtown and in other areas of the city.

    • @blackhole9961
      @blackhole9961 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Detroit lost nearly 66% of its population from 1950.
      Not to mention, like most American cities they are not compact by any means especially compared to the rest of the world. American cities tend to not cram everything and everyone in downtown as much as possible, they are super spread out over a huge land area.

We are entering a new Yuga cycle as the Kali Yuga gives way to the coming Dwapara Yuga. Europe and the us are not slated to play major roles in the coming age.
