    3:20:13 - At the end of I45N at the interchange with I30, the route actually changes to an unsigned I345. I345 runs about 1.5miles before it ends and ties with US75 at Spur366. As the route is currently unsigned and very short, its completely understandable that it is missed. Discussions have been held to decommission it from the Interstate Highway System.
    Another excellent video 🙂

    I drove this late last year, halfway at night. I drove a lot of the parallel Texas 75 because I never drove it before. When it gets to the two lane configuration I love it because it reminds me of how all Texas Interstates looked like as a kid in the 1980's and 1990's. What we need now is that high speed train. After coming back from Europe last year the U.S. needs a transportation system revamp.

    Hi Thanks for this great video, I plan to go see the Total Solar Eclipse ( April 82024) and flying into Dallas is the cheapest ( from Chicago) and also to visit a friend in Houston area. So I wanted to see what the drive would be a bit like. I was concerned about the terrain being very "rocky" like near Austin, geez that ride from the airport was gridlock! This was so helpful. Good luck to everyone on our Roads in our beautiful country.

    2:03:48 ...June 2023... The most ferocious storm that I've ever driven in knocked down those electrical towers. Power lines stretched across the highway at ground level and slightly above stopped traffic in both directions for 7.5 hours. I've noticed since that the towers on both sides of the roadway have been replaced with two towers on each side that appear lower in height.

    It’s great to see a portion of Texas highways without those ugly access roads. One of the worst things Texas did was built access, service, feeder roads. Not aesthetically pleasing at all and a blight to urban and rural landscapes. Glad no other state does that crap.

    • @AlldatJazz-rw9wy
      @AlldatJazz-rw9wy 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      You saying that means you don't understand big cities like Houston. Houston is so big, and has places all around, so the feeders are necessary, so you can get on where you need to. Too places and they are all spread out. Houston can grow outward because it's growth is circular, it's not hindered by 180 building like Chicago, or any other city that is built next to water, N.Y. included.

    • @StylistecS

      @@AlldatJazz-rw9wy I absolutely understand big cities like Houston. Which is why Houston is one of the ugliest cities on the planet. Every city on the planet gets along fine with these eyesores. The only I mean only good thing about them is to escape traffic. That’s it. Everything is a huge negative. Houston could actually function better without them but it’s to late now. Worst idea ever.

      @@StylistecS you seem like you have a issue with Houston, to which idgad, no one asked you like it, and if you think Houston is ugly, then you don't live on earth, because the ugliest city is NY. N.Y. has been the ugliest city for years, but your small mind is just full of hate, and that's sad state to be in. Keep all that hate bottled up, it seems to be helping you with your animosity, for Houston, hope your blood pressure medicine is on hand, seems like you need it....bad! And by the way get help for that mental condition, you need that too.

      @@user-xt5ms1eo2e I know this is a little cute rivalry that you all have but outside of Texas, most people see Houston and Dallas the same. Extremely suburban in nature city, low denser sprawling, and car centric with similar diversity. Dallas is nothing. I repeat nothing like OKC. The only thing they have in common is the topography. Outside of that, these two cities are dissimilar.
      Inside loop 12 is not to different than inside loop 610. Your comment about adulting is true if you stay in the suburbs. But the city itself is not much different than Houston..

      @@user-xt5ms1eo2e very little of Houston gives anyone a tropical vibe. Perhaps you meant subtropical. Dallas is not a small town feel. That’s complete bs. It doesn’t give you any less of a city feel than Houston. Again. Both are sprawling, low dense polycentric, suburban in nature cities. They are more alike than LA is to SF or even Philly is to Pittsburgh.
