Metallica playing in Halifax back in... 2014? Was the first concert I ever went to. My Dad had been there last time they were in the city, he had his snake pit (I think? That's what it's called) ticket/pass with him and we got talking to a radio booth- me'n him went on air talking about his experience at the last show and being there with his daughter, I talked about being there with my Dad. We were given VIP bracelets and were four rows back from the stage (I still have the guitar pick I got from them throwing a bunch out into the crowd). It was _incredible_. I'll never forget the energy, the unity of everyone screaming lyrics and singing along, it was just WOW. I'm glad I had reason to remember this, because it was a really special time for me and my Dad. We got to meet Matt Mays (he was doing a radio interview shortly before we went on air), him, Coheed & Cambria, Seether, and Protest the Hero were the opening acts, it was a hell of a first ever concert

"I WANNA GO TO A METALLICA CONCERT!!" ...I wanna be in metallica!!! Still gives me chills 10 years later, same video, same band. Same feeling. Lmao, keep on rockin my dude 🤘
I got to see Metallica 4th row in Miami, summer '94. Their 10th song (middle of the set) was "Seek and Destroy". Their 3 encore's were "Enter Sandman", "Rapid Fire" (a Judas Priest song) with Rob Halford singing, followed by: "So What".
There even are videos of Joey Jordison playing with Metallica live because Lars had some sickness or whatever so they did let their fans to decide if they will play without Lars or not so there were playing a bunch of diferent drumers with them Joey played most of their songs check out Creeping Death for example
exactly .. another excellent drummer .. I don´t remember know who were drummers perfoming with them only Joey and Dave .. maybe if I would give it more time to think about but those two did pop in to my mind imidiately .. I saw whole concert few years ago here on yt it was great
This song is a great way to “finish a set”. They usually play this banger, tease the crowd with hints of more, and then do a 2-3 song encore. It’s get the blood pumping. Fun fact, he always changes the location to the city they are playing Quebec Magnetic, this show, is from 2009 or so. It gets the crowd moving. Also I think they usually play an extended version where they get the crowd involved twice instead of just once
This is from 2009 and S & D is typically the last tune they played... however, I think I have seen it as the 4th or 5th tune more recently... when I saw them in 2017, it was last... When they released the tune, S & D was about going to a city that they had never played before and taking over. One final thing about this tune. Hetfield changes the name of the city in the opening verse. It's a neat personal touch...3:55

I've saw Metallica 8 times and the closed with Battery, Enter Sandman, Creeping Death, Whiplash, Four Horseman, and Seek and Destroy. It seems like Seek almost always came in the middle of there set to get the crowd going
I have seen Metallica live four times now, and cant wait to take my daughter to my 5th when they get back to touring. Best show I saw them do was when they were touring with Godsmack, that sound and lighting circular stage where it didn't matter where you were sitting was amazing~! Seeing Godsmack's lead singer and drummer on dual drumming sets, spinning on dual circles, and throwing drumsticks at each other as they rotated around. Metallica doing a `15 minute rendition of One' Dude......when the gunfire erupted at the beginning...so did the crowd, and then the pyrotechnics lit off and THEIR ENTIRE LIGHTING RIG was blown up and lowered in twisted blocks almost to the stage, and Trujillo doing this thing with a modified bass where he STOOD ON IT balancing himself and went into a CRAZY solo...damn that concert was lit as hell.
I’ve had the honor of seeing them three times now. The most recent was the first night of their 40th anniversary celebration. Every time has been amazing!
Alex i was at this particular show in Quebec City ! It was in 2009 at halloween October 31. In the old Quebec Colisée 15 000 capacity. Since they built a new building 18 000 capacity Metallica came here three time since. Much more if you count festivals outside and much more time in Montreal 245 km from there !
Alex, i was two time in a Metallica concert, and I'm not able to describe to you the energy who is in the air....you have to go, it's an incredible experience.
I got to go see Metallica live in 2018 and this was actually one of their openers. They closed with Master of Puppets. Idk if it was cuz they rearranged their set list for that tour or cuz it was the last show of that leg and they wanted to switch things up. Either way it was an awesome show and an experience I’ll never forget
I was there! Awesome show! I remember the Halloween masks! Maybe I still have my ticket from this concert. I'm a big fan. I saw them about 5-6 times here in Quebec City.
"filled a damn soccer stadium" ... "the amount of people over there is baffling"... trying to figure out where Alex thinks Quebec is haha. Much love, Seek and Destroy is one of those riffs (along with Crazy Train) that blew my mind when I was 10 years old, and it still hits hard decades later. If you are looking for a similar, fuck around, end of show song, I recommend Running Free by Iron Maiden. Same type of energy.
My husband is the Metallica's fan.listen to them all the time since I Know him(30yrs).....We go and see them EVERYTIME they come in France, I just can't say how many times I saw them but everytime it was really awesome ! 🤘🤘🤘

I've been to 2 Metallica shows in The Netherlands 😏. Gelredome Arena - Arnhem. December 2003. Johan Cruijff Arena - Amsterdam. June 2004. I will never forget the show in Amsterdam. 50.000 people. Slipknot and Korn were special guests.
I have seen Metallica 19 times. The first time was on the And Justice For All tour. I was able to be in the snake pit twice, (a section in the middle of their stage) first time in 1991 and the second time in 2017. Both times I was able to get a guitar pick from Kirk Hammett. They are amazing live!
Saw Metallica last September at Louder Than Life in Louisville KY and it was the third time I have seen them. They always kill it live. They don't seem to do to many festivals but last year they did quite a few. It was awesome seeing them outdoors but indoors is something else. It is so loud inside and they do that setup you see in this video called "in the round" where they can fill the entire arena. Fun fact, every new concert they perform they also record. You can go online and download the concert you go to. Many times they just say if you provide a certain code off your ticket stub you get a copy for free, otherwise, it is like 5 bucks. I have recorded copies of all the Metallica concerts I went to.

I have of the beach balls! I saw them a few times in 2010/11, but didn't get one until I was up the front at the Olympic stadium in Sydney in 2013, headlining the Soundwave festival, i had to guard it closely on the way out of the stadium and on the train home ... and yes, they closed their sets with this song for several years through the late 2000s and early 2010s
I’ve seen Metallica 10 times they are amazing. This was from the 2007-2010 Death Magnetic tour, which I saw twice, once in Newark NJ, and once in Albany NY where I am from. Both times the beach balls came down. They put in a great show. You need to go when you can.
I was at the second show in Quebec City on Nov1st. It was electric!!!! Seek n destroyed is one of the closing songs! At the show in Halifax, we were able to catch a Metalica ball!
I've seen them twice: once in Hartford in 1989, and again in Anchorage in 1992. They're the only band I've seen more than once. I don't remember anything about either set list, but I remember having a great time at both shows.
Until Metallica has a concert near you, you should go to see Volbeat, with Ghost and Twin Temple near you, at Dallas, or El Paso in late February. I know you like Ghost!
I wasn’t there. But I did go in November when they came to Atlanta. They did end this song. It was my first Metallica concert. I love it. And I can’t wait to see them again. they r my 2nd favorite rock band. First is Avenged Sevenfold.
Saw them in 2008 and 2009 as part of their World Magnetic Tour. It was simply amazing. It was like listening to all of their songs for the first time but still somehow knowing them. And yes both shows closed out with Seek and Destroy. Which is extra for me since that was the first song from Metallica that I learned how to play on guitar 🎸 🤘🏼
You should react to The big 4 live Sofia Am i evil? Where Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, and the Slayer drummer all went on stage together and performed that song together it was awesome!! :D

Shinedown: Planet Zero. They just released it a couple days ago. Must react, it has relevance to everything happening in the world now.
✌😎🤘
Thanks Alex !! You realised the Metal is strong in you I fell. You understand better now. Thanks.
I was There 8º row from the field line 3º colum ! 1993 !! th-cam.com/video/0BOleHflcT4/w-d-xo.html in that bunch of people ! 18´s !!!Already an "Adult". :-P yah i'm that old.
saw them twice, once in Denver 2017, then again at S&M2. 3 words........OFF THE CHAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!
Last time i saw metallica in 2019 in Manchester, England they finished with Enter Sandman. We still got S&D with a whole ton of rain it was awesome
I’ve seen them live in Atlanta Georgia in 2021! It was amazing!!!
I have the whole concert on dvd. What a show. I like to watch it every now and then.
"Seek & Destroy" "Enter Sandman" "Creeping Death" and "Nothing Else Matters" close concerts almost every time
I’ve seen Metallica 10 times they are amazing. This was from the 2007-2010 Death Magnetic tour, which I saw twice, once in Newark NJ, and once in Albany NY where I am from. Both times the beach balls came down. They put in a great show. You need to go when you can.
the show at rock am ring in 2008 was insane, hte best ive heard so far
crazy how small the world is, my father was at that show 15 years ago and now im watching someone react to the same show!
To answer your question this is definitely later in their carrier, this was in 2009 And you can definitely hear the miles on James’ voice here.
Actually this concert was 13 years ago. October 2009.
@@harishsubramanian1241 oh okay I’ll change that I figured it was some time in the death magnetic era.
Nothing better than listening to good music these days, where people are starting to forget how to make legendary music
I was at the second show in Quebec City on Nov1st. It was electric!!!! Seek n destroyed is one of the closing songs! At the show in Halifax, we were able to catch a Metalica ball!
The old Quebec arena was a small venue. about 16000. The sound was amazing, the light show amazing!!!
Saw them in Dallas 2017 with A7X and yes. Also, saw them in 1991 in Lubbock
Saxon opened, same thing.
Seek and destroy is by far my favorite Metallica song 💙💙
Saw them in 2008 and 2009 as part of their World Magnetic Tour. It was simply amazing. It was like listening to all of their songs for the first time but still somehow knowing them. And yes both shows closed out with Seek and Destroy. Which is extra for me since that was the first song from Metallica that I learned how to play on guitar 🎸 🤘🏼
Such fun tour. I went to both nights in Toronto about a month prior to this one.
I think youre thinking of War Pigs with that guitar riff you were questioning.
Whitechapel - Bloodsoaked symphony
You should react to The big 4 live Sofia Am i evil? Where Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, and the Slayer drummer all went on stage together and performed that song together it was awesome!! :D
