Okay soo I just watched the japanese movie that inspired this episode and no. They are totally different. For starters she just followed her first crush but didn't have a record book with everything written and also yeah she confessed but there was no book involvedor anything. Second, the popular guy decided to become the new unrequited love so that she could move on from the crush but when it comes to the list of stalking she showed him the paper and asked for permission first. Third, her friend had a crush for her but he didn't end up becoming the new unrequited love, he just respected her decision. Dhar Mann one was definitely different. The only part that is similar to the movie is the fact that the girl ends up with the popular guy.
Finding out things someone likes from their social media is one thing, but physically following them around & taking bits of their freaking DNA is a whole new level of psycho
True, I mean, I've been scrolling through someones social Media before to find their favorite type of food, so I could invite them to have a date in a Sushi Bar, but they openly posted a pic with Sushi and the caption "delicious ❤". Following someone around is creepy!
The fact that he's trying to romanticize stalking is so disturbing. I've never been stalked before, but I'm sure there are plenty of stalking victims who've gone to the cops begging for help and couldn't because their stalker hasn't done anything technically illegal (hurting them physically in some way, making threats, ect.), and these poor poeple have to wait until something terrible happens for their situation to finally be taken seriously enough where the police can intervene.
I had a stalker and it was the worst feeling I ever knew and what made things worse was that he was my coworker. He admitted that he attempted to find and stalk me on social media and even used that as an excuse to send me over 100 text messages over the course of 24 hours between several different phone numbers. He would pull this "pity me woe is me" act whenever he was told to stop contacting me and to leave me alone even using his bad childhood as an excuse. It all came to ahead on my court date to get a permanent stalkers order that he doxxed my first name, my phone number, and my place of work when he went scorched earth. Needless to say I won my case, changed my number, and haven't heard from him since
@@Katharinacookie Thank you. To be honest by the court date I was more angry than anything else and when he doxxed me it only encouraged me to take him down. Right? No matter what the issue is, Dhar Mann always writes the protagonist being laughed at. A more realistic form of bullying might be printing out restraining orders against Mina.
So, I read some stuff online. And the Film that’s it’s based on “And Yet, You are so Sweet” is a Japanese Film about a 16 year old Girl gettin rejected after she confused her feelings to her crush. Then the most popular boy ever suggests that they should pretend to date each other to get over the heart break, and then they become a couple in the end. What Dhar Mann failed at is that in the film, The girl wasn’t stalking her crush or the popular guy. Edit: So, My fault but in the film, she does stalk her crush a bit but however, it was never as worse than what Dhar Mann tried to pull here
No, in the flim/manga, she was boy crazy. She did end up stalking them. And it's actually disgusting how East Asain countries depict it. They try to make it so romantical.

I hope you're going to be ok. My ex never stalked me but I always fear that one day he's going to come back for me because he was very mentally unhealthy and dangerous, plus he knows where I live. It's terrifying and it's disgusting that Dhar Mann is passing it off as something quirky or cute.

Also apparently cars don't have brake pads in the dhar Mann universe because we've seen people have plenty of time to at least try to brake and they never do
In my class there was this guy who started talking to me and walking me home during noon. I found that annoying but didn't say anything, even thought it really bothered me. But one day, while I was heading home with my friend (Let's call her Evangeline), we saw him waiting for us when he was far ahead before us, pretending to tie his shoelaces...We realized he was following us, so we too different paths all the time and him running past us with his phone, this time pretending to have an emergency while screaming "It's the last time I'm doing you this favor !" like if he was going to help a friend. I was so pissed off that I took Evangeline's hand and started running in the opposite direction...It took me a long time to confront him, and when i did, he was lying so badly about how he "never did such things". After that, he stopped following me and my friend. However he would sometimes be there, pathetically trying to hide while following me when I was heading home, even going as far as passing right in front of my new place with his friends. He scared me, and even when my mom went to pick me up he was still right behind me, closely following me. He even asked one of his "friends" to send me a message saying he liked me and if I returned his feelings. The friend also gave me the creep's number, if I wanted to talk about it but I really didn't want him to have my number, so I told him I was turning him down and didn't want to talk to him by any means. I later discovered that he did the same with some boys of my class, and even some of my close friends. He was already disliked by my class and made fun of because he was openely racist and would often make jokes about it. And one day, I was going home with Evangeline and another friend (Let's call her Olga), when we saw him in another stop then us, leading to the same route. No need to say, we already knew what he was doing. Olga told us that he was following her the morning to classes, standing in front of her building and waiting for her to come out while she looked at him throught her window. I got sick of it. So I told them that we should confronte him. Again. I wasn't scared of him anymore, and like I said earlier, he would sometimes follow me or my friends, so when it happened, I would scream his name in the street or call him over his bullshit. So when we saw him faking doing his shoelaces again, we didn't hold back. Olga was the first one to scream, telling him she could clearly see him from her window, then Evangeline, who is usually a very shy girl, talked with a stern voice, saying how he had been following us in the begining of the year and all. I just gave him a more "vocal" and "insulting" treatment. He used to follow us with his scooter so everytime I hear one I'm always reminded of him, and getting scared that he's still following me. Nothing ever happened to him, even thought we told our teachers and our parents about it. Typing this made me realize how weird and unseriously the situation was taken. most of our teachers just laughed about it, telling us that he wasn't that terrible and other useless things...I regret not trying to force them to act more on the situation. This kid needed help, serious help, he even forcefully kissed a girl who was two years younger then him. But this time we didn't tell the adults about it. I told my parents. But they didn't react...?....I still ask myself, why the adults didn't try to do more. Why this kid's parents weren't alerted. Why we didn't try to talk it out. Why the teachers didn't take it seriously. And I think I'll always regret not doing more...But still, I was just a kid, and I did what I could, what worries me more is that those who should have done something about it, didn't.
I had two stalkers in high school, one was a girl in my friend group, and one was a girl who was one of my guitar students (I taught private lessons and no longer do for this reason) and shit like this pisses me off. It's not romantic it's not cute. Shit like this is why my friends were like "bro why are you upset, I wish someone was that obsessed with me." No you don't. When it's 3 in the morning and you're in your bedroom that DOES NOT FACE THE STREET and you get a text that says "aw someone is up late, trouble sleeping? I can help" you are not thinking this is so cute. Youre thinking holy shit this person is dangerous and may hurt my family. Or when you look out the window and see her car drive by slow for hours on end, or when you see her trying to hide in public so you don't see her keeping tabs on your dates. There's a million other things that happened like that in both situations and zero of it is romantic or cute or something to want.
Had someone I was talking to, but I ghosted after (I learned they weren't a good person), had gone and drove past my house (which was my grams, I was 17) multiple times. Luckily, I wasn't one to go out unless it was to or from school, so they stopped after a while. I only knew cause my sister told me.
I can’t believe this went from learning lessons, to a girl stalking some classmate she has a crush on and gets bullied for it, guess he is now saying, “We’re not just telling stories, we’re telling stories.”:/
Tiny correction "we're not just telling stories. We're telling HORROR stories." I've never been stalked, but it's no joking matter. And there's nothing romantic about watching someone obsessively and proudly showing it off.
@@BoldActionSkittywait, is that why all the love interests are Asian? I noticed that and was like "wait why are all the people who are okay with this Asian and like no one who isn't?" I didn't think it was overtly racist or anything, just something I noticed
Winnie the Pooh Blood and Honey showed how scared the main character was scared pretty good. One of the worst movies ever made did stalking better than Dhar Mann
Sometimes they yell in front of your house or throw stuff at your door, leave trash in your garden, and write you multiple mails, tweets and PMs a day, contact you with 10 different accounts, contact people close to you, lie about you, call your employer, and do other crazy stuff, and then play the victim, when you go to the police. At least that's what this woman did. It was crazy 🤷♂️
So I just finished watching the original movie, here's my take: The original (And Yet, You Are So Sweet, starring Hata Mei and Takahashi Kyohei) is a Japanese romcom about a girl who gets rejected by her long-time crush and makes a deal with the popular boy to get over her heartbreak. There's a lot more to it, if you're interested I recommend watching it, it's a fun movie, but that's the general idea. In the original, there are some mentions of the stalker-ish nature of the main girl. Both characters are aware of the creepiness of it all but still agree to go through with the "game" as they call it. There are some differences in the Dhar version though, as I'm sure nobody is surprised by. For one, the stalking is hammed up to a thousand. The original presented her simply taking the same interests as the first guy, eating the same food he liked, snapping photos of the flowers her took care of, etcetera. *Nowhere* did it show her stealing his hair clippings or disguising herself so she can watch him pick clothes. Most of the time it was just her watching from a distance. Also, the first guy is barely seen again beyond the first five minutes. The new guy got a bit more of the stalker treatment, but the thing is he leaned into it. He actively told her little bits about her life that she noted down, played around with some of the info she had, generally didn't take it seriously. When he confessed to loving her for a while now, his "stalking" was basically the same as hers; watching from afar sometimes. Not to mention the movie doesn't take that aspect of itself seriously at all. It knows it's a goofy concept, so it basically makes a big joke out of the whole ordeal. While there's some merit to questioning that, Dhar's video takes itself completely seriously and doesn't imply any sort of 'Hey, don't do this.' In fact, the stalking is upped so much here, alongside the frequency of it, that I have to wonder if this was intentional. There's so much else I could talk about, but I know no one's gonna see this anyway so I'll stop here. TL;DR Dhar Mann's version of the movie is significantly worse in the stalking aspect, as well as everywhere else. Shocker.
Stalking is literally illegal in real life, so if this girl grows up and continues to act like this she is probably gonna get arrested. What a great message to send to kids! Wtf?
"boy oh boy I SURE DO LOVE IT WHEN PEOPLE WATCH ME IN MY SLEEP, WHEN I EAT, AND WHEN I GO TO THE DAMN BATHROOM" -the guy who wanted to be stalked probably
Her picking up the boys hair off the floor sounds like something Ed Gein would do before he'd make clothing and furniture out of the skin of other people.
I'm like 80% sure Dharman has switched over to AI for scriptwriting... that "can you do me one last favour?" followed by "can I hug you" was fucking uncanny.
Dhar Mann is like that one girl in middle school that always carrying around like 3 notebooks full of stories about literally every boy in school falling in love with them.
The video says it was inspired by something and honestly I thought it was gonna be kinda be based off of Miraculous because it promotes stalking a lot. I thought maybe Darr Mann saw Miraculous and saw the fandom and went "Hey this person stalks her crush and the character love interest got together with them and the fandom seems to like it a lot so, maybe I should try it too!" even though in reality most people who are fans of miraculous don't like this fact

@@thebattleshellnah dude the show is bonkers, it deserves it. the protagonist is a weirdo who stalks a boy relentlessly and is never punished for it. In fact, she's even encouraged by the plot itself. this girl has attempted to break into this dude's home multiple times and never got any consequences. in fact, at one point, a police officer or fireman (couldn't be bothered to remember) made the wise decision to actually help her break into this guy's home because she made a sad face when he caught her pathetic attempts to get into his house uninvited. yes, a policeman/fireman sympathized with a stalker while was trying to trespass onto a property. she also steals his things and makes a huge shrine out of them, sniffs his things, and almost kissed what she believed to be a statue of the guy she's stalking. and ofc, every character you're supposed to like or at least be ok with, romanticizes and supports her stalking him. her friends support it, background characters support it, and anyone who doesn't or is a potential love interest to the boy she stalks is always villainized even if the recipient didn't actually do anything to deserve that treatment. they even made this contrived nonsensical episode to denounce the criticism of the protagonist's behavior by stating that in scenes where the boy was visibly uncomfortable was just because he actually liked it and just didn't know how to handle his feelings for her. so yeah, comment is 100% deserved.

Wattpad and webtoons LOVE to make romantic shit about stalking
I swear bro. When you finish the well known ones like ORV that app is like digging for gold in a landfill.
yeah wasn't there a book called killing stalking qnd it was about that, why do people romanticize being unsafe, well, maybe i know to an extent, im on medication for my own well-being now, and no i do not believe this is okay, but maybe around ten eleven maybe twelve i thought about the want to be stalked, wanting harm, wanting something bad to happen? i had a very off childhood and things were happening to me in school i wonder if it had anything to do with that, which sucks, and im glad i don't uh, want that? anymore? im concerned i ever did, this is how i know sooooo many people genuinely need help, i needed it
@@mar420.74Killing Stalking actually isn’t a romance at all. It’s supposed to be a thriller horror story abt topics like abuse, borderline personality, Manipulation, r@pe etc. The author never intended for it to be a romance. It was just those weird BL fangirls who tried to romanize the story
As a Wattpad user, I bet if I looked for TWO seconds, I could find a stalker romance story. I haven't written any stories involving stalking myself, but I bet I could find a few. Also, I bet a lot of the stalking stories involve Yanderes of some sort.

This is literally what I was thinking!
It's not your fault. This is an insane and scary situation to be in. The only people at fault are that guy and the adults who did nothing to help

Dharr Man is clueless. Stalking is scary as heck. You never know when the person will show up or what they'll do
Exactly and most of the time they are people you know it’s kind of concerning most crimes are committed by the person the victim knows.
Yeah exactly
Winnie the Pooh Blood and Honey showed how scared the main character was scared pretty good. One of the worst movies ever made did stalking better than Dhar Mann
Sometimes they yell in front of your house or throw stuff at your door, leave trash in your garden, and write you multiple mails, tweets and PMs a day, contact you with 10 different accounts, contact people close to you, lie about you, call your employer, and do other crazy stuff, and then play the victim, when you go to the police. At least that's what this woman did. It was crazy 🤷♂️
I want a stalker
So I just finished watching the original movie, here's my take:
The original (And Yet, You Are So Sweet, starring Hata Mei and Takahashi Kyohei) is a Japanese romcom about a girl who gets rejected by her long-time crush and makes a deal with the popular boy to get over her heartbreak.
Wtf?
This is UNHINGED! I think Dhar Mann needs to get de-platformed.
For numerous other reasons, too.
It's all cute and romantic until a group of officers show up at your front door and send you to jail for stalking.
the thing is, most of the time they never go to jail cause you can't do anything unless they break the law or threaten you

I used to watch him, he was less cringey at that time. But I got bored of his videos and left and I come back to this? Now I dont even know what he’s doing. It’s so cringey I can’t even laugh at how cringe it is.
Basically the guy who told her to stalk him instead is prob a huge narcissist. He wants someone to idolises him so bad.
Now imagine if the stalker was a man doing this to a women.
Dhar Mann would've made him the bad guy

Sentenced to 20 years in prison
double standards at its finest
24:00 😂😭
Not really all that related but it looks like Dhar Mann took the lesson from Disney too seriously: "don't talk to strangers, unless they're hot"
I can’t think about that without remembering the “Prince Charming age gap” meme. 🤢
Not really?
It reminds me of the song Sweet Dreams, one of the lyrics are "some of them want to abuse you, some of them want to be abused by you. Some of them want to use you, some of them want to get used by you" lol
It's true. All of it.
Who am I to disagree? 😂
Gameman01!!
i love how you can tell what shows/ movies Dhar Mann is watching by his videos. he's in his kdrama era
Had a stalker in my own home before when I was 16, and this shit is just disturbing.. stalking should never be romanticized.
We got some Miraculous crap on our hands ☠️
LOL FR
FRR
Dont do miraculous like that💀
@@thebattleshellnah dude the show is bonkers, it deserves it. the protagonist is a weirdo who stalks a boy relentlessly and is never punished for it.
Miraculous is even worse 💀 they are underage KIDS.
How 15:03 should've went-
"Can you do me one last favor?"
"What is it?"
"Stop stalking people, turn yourself into the police, and stop playing victim you psychopathic creep."
*sighs* The ending we should’ve gotten but never got…
If only 😔
when the boys started fighting over her, I waited for a reveal of how they pretend-fought over her to teach her a lesson that she shouldn't stalk. but no, stalker whiney hysterical girl did get all of the boys to fall for her, and one of them got badly injured because of it... what the actual F
"You need help"
Most W line in a dhar man vid yet
Agree.
Underrated comment
20:30 The car hit his waist and he landed on his back. How did he injure his face?!
And his torso went forward than back
"you need help" that is all the context you need to judge her character
I’m surprised by the overlap between Miraculous hate watchers and Dhar Mann hate watchers, but it makes sense when you think about it. It seems like Dhar Dhar has readdressed this topic and done a much better job, having the stalker portrayed as a creepy Halloween villain.
23:53
I knew it the moment they entered the house.
They’re both insane.
💀
Apparently DharDhar wants us to think there's only a fine line between stalker and really good boyfriend
I'm half convinced dharman did it himself
Kid: Mommy and Daddy, how did you guys meet?
Mom: we stalked each other in high school and fell in love
*clap* clap* genius. Just genius
23:58 What a cute pair of psychotic stalkers. 😊
YAY
Yay, stalker#1 and stalker#2, couple goals.
“Stalking anybody should be too much for anybody” 😂😂😂 I’m so weak
"We're not just telling stories, we're promoting crimes"
Never expected to comment this again
Telling his young audience that stalking is okay is a very bad idea. They need to know that obsession is not love and can be dangerous.
25:11 now that’s just stealing
