Literally thousands of torches placed and the developers still don't think beacons should be able to block hostile mob spawns.
also no super bright light sources.
well maybe not beacons but they could add a 3rd major boss which has a way to prevent mob spawns with the item you get from beating it, the beacon shouldn't do everything
@@majamystic256 it only gives you effects and light I think that’s not enough you had to work hard as hell to try and get it so maybe more benefit

@Emannuel Calisto depends what time he lost it and plus those tools always depend on chance
I don't know how badly it corrupted but you can fix it either with some programs or if they don't work by hand editing the code, it may be somewhat complicated but if it really means to you it can be done
Remember to make regular back-ups of your future worlds from now on.

It must be a great time to have litterally anything you want to your survival world, if you want a pet goat, add a goat to the game and call it a day, if you have trouble finding clay, add more clay to the cave update. Imagine having this much power

This is the dream. Being a part of the development for something you truly love and enjoy tinkering around with in your free time.
I've been obsessed with minecraft for almost ten years now. Even though I'm not a major cog in the wheel that keeps it turning, I love that I'm a part of the community and get to enjoy it in my spare time.
Looking in the comments half hoping David is here saying "do'h I forgot to send a copy of the world!!!"

The straight lines vs wiggly lines in cities have to do with planned vs organic. Most older cities had little planning and things developed organically. That’s basically every European city. Planning picked up as the Us moved west and most of those have grids.
and you can see the remnants of organic planning in older us cities like NYC, Broadway was from the pre grid network whuch is why it's at an angle to the grid.
Detroit is a slightly better example because the grid is more influenced by the original organic planning
3:37 that’s actually because of how old communities were to circle water, but for easier access to said water, but with the advancements of plumbing, water access is no longer an issue, which led to more uniform building and road placement, which is easier to expand upon

Pretty awesome to see all this. It is both inspiring and overwhelming especially since my builds are pretty pathetic. In playing with my kids and the dev saying they have kids playing as young as 4 I am amazed that things are not broken or full of wholes. Maybe the kids play in a different part of the world. I did feel like he could have explored more of the world. Pretty much stuck to the spawn area buildings, the nether bit and then the end. Feel like ibxtoycat could have spent more time in the world and edited it down, pretty much the whole thing was a live walk through.
Toycat, I can’t stop thinking about this. When you fast forward the footage, we’re you talking during that footage and we’re missing out on that, or do you just tell yourself at certain intervals, “ooh, time to talk” and just wander in silence the rest of the time?

3:26 im a delivery driver in a major us city.
the grid system is far superior to any city layout that was laid hundreds of years ago (like most EU cities). in a grid system, if you give me an address i can figure out where it is with just the target address and looking at street signs and addresses.
every street/ave has a dedicated "street number" that corresponds to addresses on the street. its not that we dont understand anything other than a grid its that we understand a grid is obviously more efficient in nearly every manner, from travel to construction.

This reminds me of the old days when i would load texture packs on minecraft ps4 edition and join worlds that would appear as a world built specifically for that texture pack and just walk around, destroy things and mess around, anyone else did that or remember that?

American old cities are planned in part due to roman influences but also because as land was colonzied they had the opportunity to try and make the cities more efficiently laid out than the pedestrian oriented, vastly older, cities in europe.....we didnt necessarily succeed in that endeavor especially with our disproportionate reliance on the automobile but....planned cities yea
you just know they used the excuse of finding possible improvements to play minecraft when they should be working

The reason why their are paths made diagonally is because back in 1970s people would walk where there were no paths because it is faster, so then in the 2000s they made paths there

The thing about American vs European city design is the block system didn’t become a thing until after the industrial revolution. That’s why much older cities like Rome and London and Barcelona are all jumbled together with backroads and winding paths and American cities are grids
I'm disappointed - I thought when I saw the thumbnail that it would be a large 3D maze built out of a ton of cube-shaped rooms.

i think people who complain heavily about Minecraft having a bad end game have forgotten about what Minecraft is at its core. It is a game where you can be creative and build anything. This world shows how Minecraft should be played methodically with a bunch of passion projects. It is art. Minecraft speedrunning has gotten so popular that players forget how much more the game offers.
Are we going to ignore that the pur pur house is on level 69...

Oh thank goodness it was a copy I was gritting my teeth.
I mean, grids are just the most efficient possible design for maximizing accessible real estate, whether residential or commercial.
That's what happens when you start a brand new major industrialized civilization on land that used to belong to primarily nomadic or small-community civilizations with very little in the way of large scale infrastructure or population centers - you get to design things for peak efficiency using modern math, rather than having to conform your city planning to roads that have been in place longer than your country's monarchy has existed.
This is such a fun video. I'd love to see you tour Lady Agnes' world. That would be cool

alright hold up, American roads are unbelievably easy to navigate because of the grid system, they're direct and easy to know which way you're going.
That is truly fun arrangement of multiple buildings to form the sense of a neighborhood inhabited not just lots of vacant houses or stores meant for a single person to live inside it is a challenge to get there. Especially having to gather the items it takes years so its nice to keep adding to starter bases someday i will do this also. But after a computer has internal memory lost it gets to a point where the player has more guarded plans for setting up new devices and external memory cards
I think its a good strat to play as a developer and discover bugs and disadvantages to the game. It is more enjoyable and your not constantly worrying about things
