Honestly. I think it’s one thing to not stop and watch the performance but another thing to not even look at or acknowledge the performer or glance in his direction which is truly baffling to me. If I had to make an assumption it’s that there is a certain level of envy and distain involved. There are too many people on this planet that will never put the time or effort in that is necessary to become this proficient at ANYTHING, so when they are in the presence of true talent or greatness it is a conscious or subconscious reminder of their inadequacies or lack of commitment to anything which then breeds the disdain or resentment that would cause them to seemingly go out of their way to NOT acknowledge someone who IS maximizing their potential in something worth while. This is just a theory I could be wrong.
People only appreciate things when its no longer accessible unfortunately

That is called dynamics (skillful and more personal interpretation)... the score has all the performance directions but experienced pianist do so much more with it...
Ok KAREN. My enjoyment of this man's playing has not changed . I would much rather watch him joyfully play with abandon than see some stuffy old prude barely touch the keys as if afraid of making a sound. A kind hearted and self assured person can do so much more when commenting on another's accomplishments.🙄🙄🙄
Bravo! 30 years ago I use to work in a shopping mall with a talented piano player who played from Classical to Rock and Blues; it always lifted my spirits. I was so happy to see the little boy in the background enjoying the music.
