I’m not quite sure about that. It was definitely pronounced “Natsu” in the original Japanese track, I can guarantee that. But I do think it was supposed to be be Prince Nuts even then. They love punny theme naming in Japanese media, and Nut’s sister’s name is Mix, so Mix Nuts. Maze doesn’t take itself too seriously, so that’s the other reason I think Nuts is the proper way to say it. It wouldn’t sound nearly as dumb in Japan as it does in English speaking countries, so it would be seen as just a cute English theme naming there.

Something I just learned recently: in the original Japanese, "Milhouse" was voiced by Sakura Tange, who's best known for voicing Sakura Kinomoto of Cardcaptor Sakura. Let that sink in.
And Maze was voiced by Kotono Mitsuishi, voice actress who did Misato in Evangelion, Mink in Dragon Half, and of course, Usagi Tsukino/Sailor Moon herself. And the two seiyuu turned in the worst performances of their careers here.

Sage started the episode and I had no idea what this was, and then Milhouse's verbal tic dislodged a dusty broom closet in my brain. That noise, Maze's two forms, the giant robot thing, and the magic energy they used were the only things that were in there, I literally can't remember anything else. The rest must be buried VERY deep.

I've read on the Maze wiki that in the manga Mil is a hermaphrodite. That was changed in the anime, but if they went with the original story line, she could do both Mazes.
If i had to guess, her explaination of Akira was either longer in the Japanese version, or the English version pulled a Bandai Namco and translated it word for word without trying to match the lip movement

So I actually sat down and watched all of Maze, both the 25 episode series and the two part OVA. There honestly seems to be two different Randy's (the fairy that tags along with Maze [Memento] and co). The one in the OVA being a pedophile that just joined and the one from the actual series that has been with the party since episode 3/4. But honestly it was a really enjoyable series to watch.

I watched the tv show (didn't know the OVA existed). I guess we're lucky Sage didn't show the tentacles actually putting the 2 girls in the mecha because...oh boy...😨
As funny as this review was, I think Sage has unraveled all of that good brain bleach I drunk to only remember the catchy ending theme.

This was the first really screwed up series that I ever watched. And that's saying something. Ive never laughed so hard in my life. Ive been WAITING for you to do this review and the series? More silliness, wtf moments and sheer mindfuckitry. Thank you Sage and all who joined him. This by far is my top 3 of favorite episodes from you!
Kudos on the trigger warning. Also, FYI, the "chakram" is an actual throwing weapon that was favored by the Sikh warriors in India and could be deadly between 40-100m. Twirling it on ones index finger before "flicking" was actually one preferred method of throwing it.

"Ookyu!" is similar another "catchphrase" of another anime character: Penelope from the kids' anime _Hamtaro_. Difference is, Penelope was a baby.
I've read on the Maze wiki that in the manga Mil is a hermaphrodite. That was changed in the anime, but if they went with the original story line, she could do both Mazes.
If i had to guess, her explaination of Akira was either longer in the Japanese version, or the English version pulled a Bandai Namco and translated it word for word without trying to match the lip movement
Sage is already yelling and it's less than 5 minutes into this episode.

I remember seeing ads for this on like tons of The Slayers VHS tapes. The style looked kinda similar but their ads were so ineffectual I had no idea what I could expect from the show and thus never even attempted to pick it up. So I guess I dodged a bullet eh?

I've seen bad voice acting but they literally voice it like it's a children's story
So I actually sat down and watched all of Maze, both the 25 episode series and the two part OVA. There honestly seems to be two different Randy's (the fairy that tags along with Maze [Memento] and co). The one in the OVA being a pedophile that just joined and the one from the actual series that has been with the party since episode 3/4. But honestly it was a really enjoyable series to watch.
Judging by the warning, this might be the lost prequel to Sins of the Sisters...
