I can't believe this movie wasn't a hit.
poor advertising, I'd never heard of it until last week, told everyone I know they gotta see it.
Especially cause they said they’d only do a sequel if it did well financially. Wonder if it could ever sell well enough on home release for that to happen.
i just watched the movie a week ago AND IT'S SO FUNNY AND THE SONGS ARE SO CATCHY i can't believe it wasn't a hit the whole movie looked like a huge budget (like all the guest stars? and everything??)
the fact that this complete gem wasn't a hit shows humanity can't be trusted

@@sofiaanjelik i dont think budget was that big i think andy just has links with a lot of famous people/rappers from his time on snl and shit but yeah it should have been way bigger than it was

I don't know why people are complaining about this interviewer; he's one of the best ones I've seen. He asked some really good questions and wasn't afraid to joke around with the guys. He seemed really comfortable around them. Funny stuff :)
What still pisses me off is that they worked really hard on Popstar and it's amazing and funny and smart and it did get great reviews, it's just marketing sucked. I would absolutely love to see a sequel. I just love Andy, Akivia, and Jorma so much

i think these boys i hope it doesnt bomb around the world. if they do any more films or whatever they should do it straight to netflix or something. i think it would find an audience better than cinemas. made me mad that only certain cinema chains showed it in the UK with barely any trailers on tv

I think the interviewer did a great job and gave them a lot of good openings for jokes but I felt uncomfortable when he was trying to stay with their pace (I don't blame him for not being able to, they've been together for so long they know what to expect from each other). If anything he should have adapted more of a moderator role because he understood their jokes and knew when they were joking instead of asking random questions to "lighten the mood" as other interviewers do when comedians make intentionally awkward jokes.

Not really much of an accent to speak of. Just an disingenuous and insufferable substitute for a personality. I don't blame him; I blame his employer for telling him to act like that (pure speculation, but it makes me feel better.)
