    i love how snl just let andy jorma and akiva do their thing basically from day 1 and it payed off so well. if they did this with beck and kyle they would’ve been known as some of the best cast members ever

      Actually, the did write some skits which were not picked up by SNL. It was their idea to make it SNL digital shorts.

    I miss them on the show :T I started watching for Andy, and pretty much stopped for him too :x He was the bomb! Still is, we just can't see him as much anymore.. Oh well

      Watch Brooklyn Nine Nine. Andy is the main character and Akiva and Jorma are writers on it. That show is hilarious trust me

      Kiv and Jorm aren't writers on it, they both directed one episode each (Jorm the Thanksgiving ep from season 1 and Akiva season one's finale) and Jorma is guest starring on 4x01 Coral Palms Part 1

    I bought the Ronco Di#k In a Box kit and it came with some spray on hair sampler. Used it to add the 90s line beard. Twas a wonderful Christmas morning.

      Symbiotic relationship, but using your original comment I'd assert this...SNL has always gone through peaks and troughs in terms of quality and viewer numbers, and when the Lonely Island guys came through they were in a kind of mid way period and probably needed something like the digital shorts in order to boost the shows popularity again in an age where loads of people were increasingly going online for their entertainment. The digital shorts gave SNL the piece of that online content pie they were after, which in turn established the troupe (their fame has only increased as time has gone on, but SNL was their big break). SNL gave them the platform they needed to succeed, but you can also argue that the show might have started to die a slow death if it hand't have been for the success of skits like Lazy Sunday, which was a first for the show, in that it went viral (blew up online) and turned people back onto the show in a big way.

    @satualm they also wrote awesometown which was a show that only got to air a pilot before being cancelled. but that episode is that drew saturday night live to them. worked out pretty well

    Digital Shorts are THE ONLY part of SNL worth watching the rest is pure garbage whoever watching it for last couple of years will probably agree(i guess)
