That was wonderful! The man playing Scrooge was brilliant. He reminds me a little of Crispin Glover. He just nailed the voice and those last scenes. I also really loved Mrs. Cratchit. She had such sincerity.
Same but mine’s isn’t for school my friend is trying start a acting company and asked if I wanted to audition so I am auditioning for belle Update: I got two parts the parts are Martha and Teen Scrooge
Spirit of Christmas present looks like a pimp with that fur. I love the production. As a child I played young scrooge. Throughout my life I have seen every sort Christmas carol plays and movies out there and so far I love this one.
I have probably seen about two dozen adaptations of A Christmas Carol...its one of my all time favourite books. This production is superb. The special effects are remarkable for a college theatre, the set design is clever and quite charming and the acting is excellent, especially the fellow portraying Scrooge. Well done everyone! You have created a Christmas classic!
I watch every single version there is of A Christmas Carol and it’s about time I caught a live play!! LOVED IT, and will definitely be back next year!!! God and spirits willing.
I found this to study roles and such for my school's adaptation of Christmas Carol and my role as Spirit of Christmas Past ( yay for being one of the shortest of the cast. I ended up watching the entire thing at least three times. Fun.
Normally I try to make it to the Goodman Theater for this but couldn’t find the time. I must say this was a very pleasant surprise to come across. It made my evening that much better. Kudos to the whole crew even though it’s from yrs ago it was still a wonderful treat. For that I’m grateful.
So I came to study my part as Mrs. Peartree (one of the narrators) and watched the whole thing and got amazing ideas to tell my theater teacher to use AMAZING WORK! Best version of this play ive found!
I’m playing Scrooge and this is really good for studying roles. His performance wasn’t perfect but really useful for helping me with characterisation particularly the voice and his transition throughout the play from ‘evil’ to ‘good’
Study the Albert Finney version. He is NOT evil at all, he is embittered with life...THAT IS A HUGE MISTAKE MOST MAKE. It makes the change in him more plausible and presents a more joyous change for he and the audience. . . . . . ..
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this stage production of "A Christmas Carol". One of the better adaptations of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" I have seen, actually (and I've see a lot, since this is my favorite story). I particularly liked the performance by Scrooge and the humor infused into the dialog. Well done!
It is possibly my favourite version second only to George C. Scott's one and the Michael Caine / Muppets one follows it along with Jim Carrey's, Mickey's and Guy Pearce's.... So it goes like this 1. 1984's " A Christmas Carol" 2. This one 3. Muppets' Christmas Carol/ Mickey's Christmas Carol/2009 Disney's Christmas Carol/ 2019 Guy Pearce's A Christmas Carol
I've never understood how Scrooge says that Fred his nephew is poor but later they show Fred's house and its clear that he's not poor? This is confusing to me at least.
Props to the guy playing Scrooge in this show! I bet he’s much younger than he’s made to act and look in this show. So talented!!!
girl we know that's your son bitch
Sincerely, the best adaptation I’ve ever seen of a Christmas Carol. Bravo. Absolutely stellar
I laughed so hard when Scrooge sang joy to the world when Bob is late.
That was wonderful! The man playing Scrooge was brilliant. He reminds me a little of Crispin Glover. He just nailed the voice and those last scenes.
I also really loved Mrs. Cratchit. She had such sincerity.
Bravo to all who did such a good job in this play.
I watch this every year and love it!
In all my years ,,,,,,,,I dont think I have ever saw a better performance of this timeless classic,,,,,,,,,,Wonderful Job everyone.
I like this show
I love this adaption. It's SO funny and creepy at the same time.

georgemiser iiii
Watching this to get to know my role as Belle. So excited!!!
Wow bravo to the entire cast especially to the actor who played scrooge you were fantastic 😁😊🤗😍
I believe that this story gives people an important meaning that money cannot buy you freedom, friends or a family of your own but your own doom.
I am doing ' A Christmas Carol' For my Christmas Play this year for school, this really helped
Same! I got the part of Scrooge
@@tigrepd6042 cool

Bravo thank you for posting this, we should all keep Christmas year round.
Amazing Scrooge!!! Best one I’ve seen even Jim Carrey didn’t do it as well
Jim, well, is a bit overrated!
Animated versions or CGI, like Carrey's are never as good as live action. Disney should have done a live action one!
I watch every single version there is of A Christmas Carol and it’s about time I caught a live play!! LOVED IT, and will definitely be back next year!!! God and spirits willing.
wow I came here to study my part as Cratchit and ended up watching the whole thing!!!

I found this to study roles and such for my school's adaptation of Christmas Carol and my role as Spirit of Christmas Past ( yay for being one of the shortest of the cast. I ended up watching the entire thing at least three times. Fun.
Hamilton Trash I’m playing the same role! We open this Friday!!!
Thank you very much. That was an excellent presentation. You folks should submit that to PBS. Great job!
The guy playing scrooge. Amazing. best play ive seen. Does anyone know if any of these people have become actors?
"Children lose in the streets, what is this? America?"
I laughed at that line so much I almost died!
Excellent Production
Merry Christmas to all of you!Fantastic job!
incredible adaption. the best from what I have seen so far.👏👏👍👍

This book/play/movie is the best book/play/movie ever! And the ones who played Scrooge and Bob Cratchit was off the top 🙌

I love how Scrooge was laughing while pretending to be mad at bob
33:46 when your hyped up after being yelled at by parents then imagining what you'll say to them if you had the courage to...
Amazing. 👍👍👍👍👍🎄🎁🎇🎆🍸🍷☺happy Holidays to all.

Just played the Ghost of Christmas Present .
The actor playing Scrooge seems just like Harry Brandon who played Barnaby in March of the Wooden Soldiers.
so nice
