Great tips! I didn't know you could do all that coloring of events on one calendar. My tip is having a different calendar for each person in the family to make it easy to see who is doing what as each calendar has its own color.
I'm a huge believer in color blocking! Yes, LOVE having cals for each member. Shared cals are one of my faves tbh because then I know what everyone is up to and I can toggle on and off as I wish.
Great info! On the repeat occurance, there is also the option to, for example repeat the event on the first Tuesday of the month, which is really handy for some events. Have a great and successful new year . 100k soon ❤
Yes, in windows, the emoji is WINDOWS-KEY followed by the period. Gee, not even 3 minutes in and I have learned 2 things (the first was that really nifty right-click to change the color; where have you been all these years?) I do use my samsung calendar app but add the entries to my GCAL so I can see my calendar on my computer screen. So I am now going to subscribe. I do have one suggestion/request for your future videos: please, pretty please with sugar on top, do not add a music track on top of your dialogue track. Regardless of the music chosen, when music is playing while you are speaking, the music is distracting from the job at hand: listening to you so we can learn whatever you are teaching us. Thank you.
I'm glad you found that right-click tip helpful - it's a game changer! I appreciate the feedback on the music, I'll keep it in mind. I've lowered it over the years but perhaps need to do it further! Trying to keep things interesting, while also informative. I so appreciate you and thanks for subscribing!
Very good video. One question please. How can I automatically delete the previous day's event in recurring events? if this possibility really exists Thank you very much and happy new year.
You can do it manually by right clicking on the past event and selecting delete. I'm not sure if you can set it to do it automatically once the event has passed. I've not seen that option on my end.
You can do this! Click on the week view (or whatever current view you have displayed) near the top right. A dropdown will appear and you simply click off the option to show weekends :)
For thoswe of us who do not rely on the interenet, why not show some compuer fcalendars? such as Calendar Magic or Mozillla Thunderbird? NOT Microsoft Mail and Calendar. That has a time bug they never fixed.
Hey friends! What are some things you do to optimize your Google Calendar? Comment below.

GCal is the best and most customisable calendar by a long way!
I couldn't agree more!

Are you also having a problem with the Unhide option? I recently hide a calender and the unaided option is gone so it appears to be permanently gone

I wanted to display ONLY MY WORK WEEK, (not SAT and SUN) but apparently, I could not figure it out. :-(
