Another baffling thing about PLZ-A is that the entire game is apparently going to take place within the confines of Lumiose City. My question is, how is that going to work in a Pokemon game? Sure, there are other games that entirely take place with a town/city, but how do you pull that off in Pokemon? Sure they might make Lumiose City an acual gigantic city that contains parks where Pokemon gather, but how are you going to fit 400 different species in a confined space a la Noah's Arc?
Seeing so many people excited it’s not coming out this year is really telling, convinced it isn’t rushed, YET THEY HAVENT SHOWN GAMEPLAY THO LOL. It probably started development very soon lol
The CGI in the teaser is meant to represent a blueprint albeit in 3D, since the concept revolves around an urban redevelopment plan. I believe it'll be set in a more recent time than Legends Arceus was but still in the past since the game seems to be inspired by the real life Paris renovation that happened in the mid 1800s so I expect it'll be set during that time period and we'll be turning Lumiose City into the city that we know today. And what the blueprint represents in the teaser is what Lumiose WILL become but when the game starts it won't be that yet.
There's a lot they could do to improve upon the Legends formula, but they probably wont change a single thing. Sucks since it's the best Pokemon has ever been in terms of gameplay. At least I get to see my favorite fox again.
I’d like to point out that Paris had a pretty significant redevelopment in the mid-19th century during the second empire period, which could be what it’s based on? Idk that’s the only straw I can grasp at and even then if it’s the case then the trailer seems a bit anachronistic at best
