- After 48 days in a tent in freezing temperatures and trapping Alaska's bounty for 40 days, it's time to pull up the trapline.
Although Alaska's trapping season goes well into March, I'm off to other adventures. I'm happy with my haul of fur from my short line just around the camp.
It's been the trip of a lifetime, but it's not for the faint of heart.
If you're planning a solo trapping trip to the interior of Alaska, be prepared to self-rescue.
You, and you alone, are responsible for your own survival.
Having said that, I did run into some helpful people along my journey. Namely from the Alaska Dept. of Fish and Game and from the US Fish and Wildlife Service.
A "shoutout" to Shawn, Mike, Sierra, Jon, Zach, and especially to Tess for helpful advice and extreme professionalism.
I also want to thank Doug and John for driving 14 hours round-trip to spend the day on the trapline with me.
Thanks for watching and subscribing (I finally made it over 1000!)
New subscriber. Congrats on a successful trapping season

Wow, these were videos to look forward to watching! Thanks a lot!
Thanks for watching!
Absolutely loved all the videos.
Checking out the final tally reminds me of how many years I had to wait before I got my notification from ADFG about my Sasquatch draw hunt. 😅. Anyway, that was an amazing saga that most of us will never get to see firsthand, and thanks for going to the trouble to share it
Amazing adventure. Thanks for sharing.
Congratulations on a great season.
Wow my friend...that was an awesome trapping event. With the weather and conditions, you diff earned it. Be safe
Glad you use conibears for marten and not leg holds, it gives anti's too much ammo against us.
How did the Grand Touring 600 ACE do? Are you able to pull pretty good loads with it? Thanks for making and sharing these vids!
Very pleased with the performance. Can tow a lot and no issues breaking trails through 18" of snow and brush.
Ruff weasels you have on your line
Heck of a trapping trip. Thanks for taking us along. So when are you moving to Alaska? Lol
maybe when the boys get out of school????
@@tier1trapper747 Work on moving to Idaho so I can trap for wolves.
You will do better if you use pan triggers.
