If Adrian got saved by Eli in this timeline and lived through most of the 20 years you could explain the intimacy between Eli and him if they developed a paternal relationship. It’d be an interesting dynamic.
I watched the whole video, the voice sounded so friendly, it would have been really cool to have him in the game, this mod gives off a vibe of camaraderie between 2 great friends, although I really like Alyx, I think for me it would have been more amazing to have Shephard as our war brother, maybe because I really like Shephard from HL1, but it was really good and having him in the story in some way would be amazing too.
Next Time Shephard: "Looks like we found a troop train." (sees a dead soldier infected by a headcrab) "What the hell is that? A Combine zombie? More like a Zombine. Am I right?" Second Zombine: (wakes up and pulls out a live grenade) Shephard: "Shit! It's got a grenade!"
The zestyness of Adrian honestly has some interesting implications, character-wise. Adrian's deal in Opposing Force that made him so interesting for the G-Man was that he was able to adapt and survive the harshest of environments. Maybe not just physical-, but also social. Him being in the City 17 Resistance (or maybe even as early as during Opposing Force when he went AWOL) might've given him the opportunity to finally let loose and be his true self... And honestly, I wouldn't mind shipping him with Gordon >_>
