I do have a Shiny Metagross, it was my second full odds Shiny in White 2. I ran into it in the Giant Chasm. First full odds shiny was a Sunkern in Black 2. I have my Metagross in SWSH right now, and the Sunflora is in SV.
I was date skipping for the starters, got a torchic, pipplup, and metang outbreak, started at the torchic, got it really fast, went to pipplup, and while I was resetting spawn a shiny minchino spawned, but I was pushed out of range by running into a chinchino, so I took a break to do the metang and got it fast, then went back to pipplup and got a full odds seel , then the next day I got a full odds finneon on a poplio outbreak

I feel that @@bartholomewfish6089. Water starters are the absolute worst. I got lucky and had a Froakie outbreak near the Coastal Club area, so it was on land and basically a town reset hunt. Gotta find an outbreak where you can somewhat isolate if possible, and pray for RNG in your favor otherwise.
One thing I noticed is that shiny hunters on TH-cam don’t seem to notice a crit capture until the poke ball wiggles. You can tell earlier on because the trajectory of the ball does a little dip curve when thrown

I love how easy it is to find shinies with the academy sandwich. I've found more than I have in basically any other game while grinding missions for BP.
Idk how far you are into the DLC but you can also get some of the sweets from the itemprinter and with there being different options for the direction and the time you can spin you can actually get all 63 forms of Alcremie I think 😮

The dlc has been extremely kind to me. I’ve found a random shiny trapinch and bruxish from just wandering around, and then I found three shiny bulbasaur, one of which was female with the chipper mark
Happy holidays! I have found SO MANY random shinies in the indigo disk but one of them was a minior and I tried s hard t catch it w a lux ball and it would not catch and I had reset Iike 18 times and I decided to randomly try my one moon ball and it immediately caught, love your vids btw!!
Thanks to the Milcery outbreaks I also went ahead and got 7 shinies as well, made sure each had a unique mark. My star sweet even has the Rare mark and is named Electra
The shines i really want in this game are: Finizen Characdet (more because i started a shiny team quest, and had ceruledge on my team) Buizel Minior (had the shiny but failed it in an raid den) Shroomish Horsea Dratini Oricoro (ghost form) Furret, poplio and reuniclus was on the list but i got them. 2 on outbreaks and one was on a psychic sandwhich.
Scarlet players absolutely won with version exclusives. Skipping past the whole past vs future paradox pokemon debate. We got Gliscor and Cramorant in Kitakami and then we got Vulpix and Cranidos in Blueberry Academy. It’s not even close.
Catching Metang in the second attempt was impressive, Beldum's line has one of the worst catch rates of the series. I used 20 Timer Balls just to get a regular Beldum for the Pokédex lol

Your catch rate goes up significantly if you backstrike the pokemon. Combined with sleep and 1hp you basically never fail a catch unless you use beast balls by backstriking, you can do it even when they have already noticed you if you run behind and throw the ball before they can turn
My actual first Pokemon in the indigo disk was shiny draludon and I did not no it was shiny until I beat all elite4 and I thought that shiny archaludon was normal archaludon
Duraludon was the first one I hunted for my sons and myself, absolutely couldn't wait to evolve and roll with it in our playthroughs. Electro Shot when your opponent brings Drizzle, just classic Kiki butt kicking. Btw, Skyline is a nice nickname, but I like mine better. Zoolander 😂
Would love to see this guys play the OG games.. every sinlge time a person finds a shiny they pre save... Everything easily offered, back in the day it was the rush, the boiling blood to make sure u catch it, shinies lost their essence in arceus, and after that is easier than legendaries almost to get shiny.. and PEOPLE STILL SAVE BEFORE!! btw amazinf viseo😊

I personally like that they made shinies more accessible for people. It gets more and more Pokémon players to join the hobby and IMO, I would experience the same amount of hype getting a shiny back then vs now, it’s still a great feeling. I don’t like people gatekeeping shiny hunters getting into the hobby now saying “it was way harder back then.” Let’s just celebrate each other’s shiny accomplishments without putting anyone down :)

Minior was the first shiny I ever breed for back in Pokemon sun and I was finally able to transfer my son over with the DLC, I named him Nova.
