I love how Micky continued to work on drumming post Monkees. He is much better on drums than he was way way back when they recorded Headquarters. Don't take my word for it, Chip Douglas said same and he produced Headq.

amazing video and sound quality- and most of all- amazing band. They took more undeserved abuse from the “rock press” than any band ever- yet 50-75% (or more) consisted of their compositions in the last 10 years(those are the years I kept track).

I was at this show and it was wonderful, though bittersweet, without Davy there. 😞 Too bad "Don't Call On Me" was not on the playlist for this show. One person in the audience even shouted to play that memorable song. I would have LOVED to have heard it instead of more songs from "Head" that were featured.

Peter playing the banjo on this song was the icing on the cake. Great Nesmith song and nicely done. I agree, Micky's drumming got better and better. Now only two.

Wow! I really was a young person ages ago! They really were Professional musicians. I miss seeing their expensive Gretch Guitars especially Mike's 335 style 12 string electric guitar.

This is one of the best filmed peices of footage of The Monkees playing as a unit on one of my favorite Michael Nesmith penned tunes with Nez on vocals! Yes they were a REAL band to all the critics and Monkee naysayers!!

I have to ask.. was the beginning was part of their schtick? If so it was priceless! And I just love banjo intro. Sounds amazing! Thank you for sharing moments like this. They're priceless now...

Micky sounds great on the drums. And this is coming from a drummer.

I really enjoy watching the concert videos from the Justus tour. You can tell that Micky had been practicing prior to the tour because he was amazing. Even better than in this video!
