    Outstanding! Respect how you make sure it's all done right. Details matter. I have the exact same issue with the HDMI ports on the exact same Sony Bravia XBR-55X850D. No real hurry, but what's your normal turnaround on that repair?

      We advertise a 3-5 business day turn around for all repairs but we also do a 1 Year warranty on all repairs as well!
      I do have links to our repair service in the video description if you are interested in sending in your mainboard for repair.

    I did a 40 pin chip, it had really corroded pins, bug poop, I tried to clean it but it was too bad, the pins that were clean soldered well. My hand is so shakey every time I tried to move the chip a small amount it would bump right off pins. These things you don't realize till you try it. Same as soldering on a bigger scale sort of. Those pins can get bent if not packaged right, I ordered some, I got some bent pins and fake used no good transistors, they soldered new legs on it, made it look new, I can't believe they went through that much trouble.

      Yeah thsoe can be tricky especially when you get bent pins from the get go.

      Yeah this one is tricky to because of how close some of those caps are. It's a hard one to solder for sure.

    Very nice job I know how hard it is to do it

    • @NicksTVRepair

      Yeah I think those chips have like 50 pins per side so 200 in total, but what makes this one tricky is the fact that there are so many capacitors, and resistors very close to the pins, so you don't have much room to solder. That's why I end up using that very fine iron tip.
      The very small iron tip however does not transfer heat that well, and that's why I end up using the bottom heat assist. I didn't explain that very well in the video.

    What is the camera magnification rate? I like your setup, cam on a crane and screen off to the side one I looked at it says 120X mag, that doesn't seem like it would be enough. The all in ones say like 2000x is that Hayear cam?

      I think we have the 0.5X Barlow Auxiliary Objective Glass Lens For 180X C mount lens.

    0:14 I got the symbols detecting the devices are plugged in. Still a blank screen when I try to connect my PS4 or laptop

      If this is happening with multiple devices it's possible your HDMI cable is bad and needs to be replaced. If it is only happening with 1 of the HDMI ports and not all of them it is possible the HDMI port itself could be physically damaged. It would be best to avoid using that port and use the others. If all HDMI ports have the same problem then you may have the fault shown in this video. If that is the case, you would need to send it in for repair.

      The thing that's hanging off the cord? It's a heat resistant silicone pad.You use it to remove the tip while it's still at 400 degrees so that you don't burn yourself.

      If you have a Sony TV then it would be a mainboard fault.

    • @NicksTVRepair
      @NicksTVRepair  ปีที่แล้ว

      If it's a Panasonic TV it means SS board fault
