- Today we live in the era of the internet. The Internet has changed the way we live and interact with each other. It has brought education, entertainment, comfort and even democracy. Imagining a world without the internet is hard. We are able to make this video and get it our favorite subscribers, only because of the internet. But did you know that almost 50% of the world still does not have access to the internet? That seems strange right? But it’s the truth. To counter this and make the internet accessible to everyone on earth, Elon Musk’s SpaceX is launching Starlink Satellites which plan to provide global internet coverage. But How does the internet work from space? How can starlink satellites provide internet service from space? Will they transform our world? Let’s talk about all that and more.
Starlink is a global initiative by SpaceX to create a global broadband network by using a constellation of Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites to provide high-speed internet services

I can’t fathom this being just for internet
Finally!!!! A fellow thinker!
If not to control the neuralinks, I'm sure it'll be providing low latency propaganda to Antarctica.
@@haadidave would you mind going into a bit more detail
Chip the humans.
The technocracy
I have survived in a world without internet, it was called the early 90s and it was fantastic
Miss those days!
Agree. Take me back 😩
Easy, just switch off your phone.
And no mobiles.
the world blew without the web. early 90's was a bore.
Got Starlink and I'm so thankful because I live that vanlife. Most places where there are no signals, Starlink allowed me to game online wherever I am and mainly communicate with my family back home. This changes everything and I'm very grateful for this.
Do you know if this is considered hard wired still? I work remote but must have a hard wired connection for work and want to move to full time rv life? Is this possible?
@@lydialewis951 hardwired means Ethernet connected into your PC so no
@@donc7984 lol 🤦🏻♂️ homie, you were much more polite than i would have been
You're very naive
Still possible with a travel router
It works great for me and my family👍👍 We can video call, play call of duty, and have three other TVs streaming all at the same time without issue😁 My prior internet connection service struggled to do that.
I find it mind-boggling to think of how many "things" are up there orbiting the planet.
It's space junk, cool or not
Do you mean the satellites or the stars, planets, galaxies? I find it mind-boggeling what humans are able to invent and produce. Do you think Axolotl is bored? Then help us god 😀😃🙂
i actually saw these last night in the sky and thought i was trippin seeing ufos and all but now i’m just thinking of how cool it is to see something like this.
I seen it two days ago I'm in Chicago
AAAAYYEEE I SAW THEM LAST FRIDAY AND SUNDAY NIGHT!!!
They came so close and you could see them for a good while. They then zoomed out very quickly.
they are 36' tall and 500km away... you guys think that you can see that?
they are reflecting sunlight? while completely in earths shadow?
@@Aboard_and_AbroadYou can see the launch as a line of dots travelling across the night sky. Saw them this week from southern Portugal.
I saw them last week early morning 5am. So cool
Thanks, I was sceptical that you will explain everything, but you even explained how terminals work and showed how sattelites orbit around earth. Great job
I just had a line of 20 to 30 of these satellites. Cross over my house. They were gone in one minute's time
I do wonder how much Emf is emitted by all these satellites and the ground stations and yes take me back to the 90s please
Sorry! Don't use it. That simply saves emission and energy. Nothing else. You are not forced to use it. Are you?
I’m just curious about these some questions:
1. What about space junks
2. Maintenance/Updation if someone hacks
3. Does it affect earth environment
4. If 42 k satellites deployed then how space companies launches their rockets because they are having difficulties to evacuate rocket from orbit
No problem, next question
I have it here in the mountains of Tennessee and it works great.
This is super informative. Thank you
How is there approval for this, in our Earth's skies?
I just saw this in the sky and I’m here. While i love technology and the idea of internet all over..adding thousands more will definitely pollute the nights sky. Another thing…if it can send so much data..I’m sure they are capable of much more
Not as much as you pollute the earth and yet you dont do anything about it.
Initially Starlink was bright and visible to the naked eye at night. Now they have addressed that so we don't see them anymore on earth. However, the debris generated at the end of life is still a small part open to be fully mitigated.
The use cases going forward will expand, that's quite interesting. For now, the other 40ish percent of the world that cannot get internet, will. This is life changing.
@@kabysummit5801 I just saw them like 10 minutes ago ..
Not true. Just saw the train tonight. Still very visible.
Sounds very innovative
Hoping for affordable seamless use!
I saw around 40 to 50 moving over La Pine Oregon in train formation around 6:55
PM. This evening. It was just amazing to see....
Thank you so much sir for your packaged information
Well done Team Curious - 300k subs! 🏆
we are very happy for the 300k subs! thanks to each of you ❤
I agree with you there's plenty possibilities
Great video. We love Starlink in Alaska, it is a game changer for people with remote cabins or far-ranging boats or RVs! It starts at just $90 a month too (as of January 2024)
Today in Columbus, Ohio, around 8:40, I saw this exactly. My camera couldn't quite pick it up.
Use of multiple minds are awesome...
absolutely AWSOME
We just switched from Cox cable to StarLink. It works great! What a brilliant idea!
I am split on this issue. I like the idea of internet service reaching remote areas, but as an amateur astronomer and astrophotographer, I positiely hate what these monstrosities are doing to the night sky. Serious, professional ground-based astronomy is in big trouble.
thats by design so that you can "trust the science"
Just saw them in Phoenix Az.. . I didn't know what they were... Spaceship... 😆
Had to Google it! Pretty cool 😎
What energy/ fuel these satellites uses to move forward and what is life span of that energy or fuel. Is there any chances with airoplane crash. ?
helium
star link can decentralize communication and if crypto transfer systems can be uploaded and run on satellites it would be pretty crazy
Correct
I wonder if starlink sattelite signals can reach an antena placed indoors by a window if there are blue curtains on the window ?!
Hi; nice educational video, I think, Starlink and other LEO satellites are excellent services but expensive service for most people on earth. If they'd make it affordable/cheaper in near future & provide landline/mobile telephone calling services cheaply with the Starlink internet service, it may be the future & best of communications on earth, mars and beyond. 👌👍🙂
It will be cheaper overtime specially after the return of thier investment
Starlink has generated significant interest and excitement in the tech and internet connectivity communities. Its promise of providing high-speed internet access to remote and underserved areas is seen as a potential game-changer, especially for regions with limited access to traditional broadband options. Is it TRUE?
Yes it is true. We live in the remote countryside here in the Philippines where fiber and cable internet is almost impossible. Starlink changed everything. We are now getting average speeds of 150mbps DL and 30mbps UL and it's consistently strong even when during rainy days. Starlink made me easily decide to leave the city and start a new life in the countryside where I am currently working from home.
Thank you all! I find it mind blowing and I am envious to everybody who could watch this spectacle live! I am sorry for every earthling astronomer.
But were you able or willing to share this astounding pics?
Saw them in Australia over the town of Bathurst on 7/5/2024 .
Never seen it before. Did a bit of research and came across the clip.
im pretty sure star link will bring internet to the entire world if it will provide internet to mars lol
If only poor countries can afford them
I still don't understand how this is better than using only a few satellites that are placed further out in space. The video seemed to indicate that it is due to the time factor, since being closer to earth shortens the time of communication significantly. However, is it really possible to achieve geosynchronous orbits at such low altitudes? I'm afraid we are all going to regret having so much space junk floating in the skies, rendering many astronomical observations impossible, and making space launches more complex.
These are not geosynchronous.
It is a big lie
Me me me, yeah YOU really dont understand it.
6:00 the graphic says that Starlink orbits 100 times higher than a geostationary satellite, but the opposite is true. Starlink flies much, much lower than geostationary satellites.
I caught that right away also. That's a HUGE error that no one who understands the very basics of LEO vs Geostationary orbits could ever make. So what other errors are embedded in this video? It's credibility just went out the window for me. (actually, it started the 2:52 mark when they showed a Space Shuttle launch while speaking of SpaceX performing "partner launches". ) If you want to be credible, check your content!!!
wait until they open up the cell phone capabilities on these sats. gonna put them all out business (internet providers as well). can't wait for the IPO!
Video killed the Radio star😂❤
What did you do about that?
Every Generation blames the one before😂 surprise.... we still go on... how many old books over the centuries have been destroyed? Especially of people who were not able to read? We/the humans are still marching on. Why? We got insane by entering a train 😂😮😊
The world really becomes a village by starlink.
Terrifying
I love the idea
I find it a bit terrifying. Forget about privacy and freedom once this is in place .
Has literally nothing to do with starlink, try again
You upload quality content, you should have way more subs!
>quality content >annoying transition effects and voice
It works really good for hub videos and O.F
I saw these lights last night over 🇯🇲
@musk
Where can i buy that antenna
I saw the Sky train 20 mins ago in Roscommon Ireland.AWSOME ELON MUSK,
Interesting 🤔
I live in Las Vegas right next to Nellis Air Force Base. Right over my house about 2 months ago l seen a row of about 15 star link satellites 🛰️ fly over my house in a straight line. Wow!
I thought it was a UFO 🛸 😮
Are you sure that was starling satellites and not the ISS?
@@donc7984 it was probably starlink
@@donc7984Definitely Starlink - saw them this week in Portugal. A perfect line of dots moving across the sky.
Saw them last week...strange ..but got the answer now
How do they plan to keep from turning this mega constellation into mega space debris, after they at the end of their service life?
its just balloons man
@@Aboard_and_Abroad
What do you mean balloons?
Martin Armstrong's blog brought me here today.
Doesn't their orbit decay, then enter or burnup ?
When will equipment not be needed to transmit data?
Dominando o espaço, com tecnologia que poderá influenciar nos equipamentos eletromagnéticos na terra. Fica a dica.
i dont know about normal users, but if starlink can make a link for aircrafts that transport people then it will be interesting, because the airplane can give after every minute or less where they are together with gps for safety and fast help if it crashes, also for ships it is handy as they can do the same.... if I was musk I would request from aircraft companies alot of dollars to succeed in this depending on how much they get a year.... a few billions in his pocket probably...
The internet the new tower of babel... We will one day all speak the same langues. We will all know the same things. We will all be told to speak and know what the great Tower of Babel tells us, ....."what is".... The Internet and Time.

Network Engineer here, I always thought of this infrastructure and believed in it. People laughed at Space Force, behold. Right in front of you is the future of our society and we have to protect it. This is the world we're in.
I watched this on Starlink 😉
It's irrelient as long as we "have" to have Ads, een if we don't like the intrution...
Just watched this in HD on starlink
At some point all this will be old technology stuck in space. We'll have a space debris problem later
200 miles away yet they shine from earth.
Great video !
Thank you 💜
This gentleman will come to SRILANKA very soon . We are waiting to welcome him cordially .
where did he get all there technology?
I saw it this morning
Did you say Starlink uses Krypton?! I remember when I was a boy a Superman cartoon episode aired where Lex Luther had a Satellite Network similar to Starlink and Superman was powerless on earth because of this. And in this episode Lex Luther said but that is just coincidence, his main goal is to give communication access to the world (he said this to superman with some smirk). I am looking now for this episode. Unbelievable!
Thank you Elon Musk... protect this guy at all cost..
You are very naive...

How will astronomers take photos of outer space if the are thousands of satellites in orbit?
How will You give people internet? You only pretend to care, but YOU dont! Try again
I cant understand how the satellite stay together...like how?are they tied up together
Story time I was on a camp out with 20 people we were hiking to the bathroom at night and saw a starlink train we all got freaked out thinking it was a alien invasion
Orbit at 105 to 139 TIMES that of geo-stationart orbits - wrong. Height of geo-stationery is determined by pjysocs not visual footprint

I seen this the other day didn’t have a clue what it was.
MIGHT terraform Mars……no it’s WILL terraform Mars. No doubt we’ll be there parasiting it up sometime soon🤦♂️
"The internet is just a fad," they said in the late 90s. Now, this.
"Bitcoin is just a fad," they're saying now.
May be still we don't have starlink based internet in Bangladesh
A geostationary orbit is about 22,000 miles above earth ... much higher than Starlink's 300 miles ... the video has this backward at timestamp 6:01
It is a lie
What will happen to Jio after Star link in India.
HELPING CREATE A PRISON PLANET . 💯%
Is it going to contaminate the night sky? Are the sats going to be visible?
Yes they will appear like many bright stars. If the moon or Sun is on the horizon, anywhere, then the solar panels and reflective surfaces will reflect a bright light. 🌞
The effect on living life however, may not be so bright.
It is already contaminating the sky as it is. In the future when satelites crash into each other which is unfortunatly inevitable it will trigger a cascading scenario where debris from satelites crash into other satelites. This event is called kessler syndrome.
Goodbye nightsky🌌
That's a lot of traffic
I can't lie
What happens when everything falls out of orbit
I know this is innovation but somwthing about this feels it will play a major role in the apocalypse
