You’ll know the cam follower is bad because the clippers will be a lot louder than normal. If the blade is uneven it’s possible you may need to loosen the screws a little bit on the back of the blade and adjust the blade evenly.
I’m not sure if I’ve done something wrong but my cam follower wont click on I push it into the slot on top of the spring but it just keeps coming back out
It’s a pain to keep it in place when setting it in, I had to hold it with my thumb to make sure it didn’t pop out when installing. Let me know if you got it to stay 🙌🏻
@@frankakeson8620 If the noise is still too loud after replacing this part, then the part itself is bad. This has happened to me quite a few times and sometimes the New plastic cam follower is a bad piece. Replacing it with another new one has always fixed my issue.
A few of them that I got were doing that as well, I would just re-pull it out and see if it's set correctly, if not I would try another one if you have it
I have a $30 set that I've had for 20 years, and I have hundreds of cuts and trimmed my beard with, and it's still going good. Got a pair of magic clip Li-ion clippers and the plastic part (that is integral to the body of the clippers) that holds the back of that spring, has broken. And the battery is weak. Only had it a month.

Hey there did you super glue it right away?
When it originally broke I did super glue it right away as a “temporary” fix until I received the replacements and it held up very well.
Mines got that same crack as yours. Tried to super glue it to no avail. Read some other comment saying it’s common, man this is annoying!
