You Win Again is one of my favourite songs of theirs. I was lucky enough to speak to Robin very briefly, when they were in Sydney, Australia, in 1999. It was one of the biggest thrills of my life. It could only have been better if it had been Maurice ❤️

I had my head down while we were walking and would never have seen him otherwise. Arsenio was trying to praise the boys for "owning" disco 🕺 Which they did of course. But they were fighting against that label here. They were so defensive about it when they came back with 'ESP' & this record 💿 Which is understandable. Especially in America, where the disco backlash was very aggressive. I'm so glad they were recognised in the 90's with lifetime achievement awards & rock hall of fame 🎶 It was long overdue and well deserved. Barry is my all time favourite composer. I'm so sad that he's the only one left. I feel very fortunate to have seen them @ Wembley in 1998 💚 PS: I love both songs they performed. Two of my favourites!
Yes, they are the best! And Barry is the heart breaker looking one! I am 72 now and just love their music. I am reading a documentary on them and sadly, it was not always roses for them. They had to keep reinventing themselves and did. But the saddest thing is, Mo was an alcoholic and Robin was on pills. Ma have contributed to their early deaths. Barry stayed clean and has a great family and wife! She’s a lucky one!
Mo stopped drinking in the late 80's after having a relapse when Andy died but was sober until he died. It did not cause his death in any way. His autopsy showed his liver had regenerated, which livers can do, but he did have some heart disease, not terribly unusual at his age, and he was still a smoker. Robin was not on pills since the early to mid 70's according to Barry (that would be about 40 years clean since his 20's) and he became a vegan, non smoker and non drinker so that had no effect on his death either. Andy was also sent to live with Robin under his care after Andy went to rehab. I found it strange that Barry didn't take in his so called "twin". There is no way they would have put him with a drug user! Both twins had a volvulus which is genetic. Robin also developed colorectal cancer which ran in the paternal side of his family and so was obviously beyond his control. All three brothers used amphetamines when they were young, by Barry's admission, for alertness due to their hectic schedule. Barry and Linda both used pot for quite a while. Perhaps they still do. Their guitarist for decades, Alan Kendall, said Barry and Linda often shared a bong. Andy was the only one whose death was directly related to drug use. He used cocaine which weakened his heart leaving him vulnerable to a virus that caused a heart inflammation, myocarditis. I know these are facts because I was an registered nurse for 40 years.

Also, Robin was still taking pills up to & after Molly filed for divorce & for some time after. Once again, Barry protecting their image & reputation by saying Robin was no longer using, when the courts ruled differently. Also you know the truth about Andy, so stop spreading bs! The last time Andy went through rehab was 1985, which the family then moved him back to Miami. He was there with Barry & Mo for over 2 years (look into their Love & Hope Tennis Tournaments & Balls, Andy getting his pilots license then, etc) and then in 1987, the three of them wrote 4 songs together for Andy's new album. In late 1987, Barry took Andy to Island Records in London to negotiate a deal, as no labels in the US would sign him. Robin didn't live far from there, so it made sense for Andy to stay with him when he returned early 1988. But something I've wondered is why didn't Robin help Andy write the rest of his songs, since that's what he was there for?? Wasn't Robin suppose to be a prolific songwriter? You've given Barry more💩for not writing with Robin after Mo died, but yet Andy's right there to write & Robin doesn't help him?? After all, it's in Andy's autobiography that he was clean & wasn't drinking when he left Miami. According to their mother, he didn't actually start until being at Robin's several weeks, when he developed writers block. So why the hell didn't Robin step up to help his baby brother, like Barry & Mo had been doing for 2 years before that?? You've also argued that Robin was there on Andy's bday, which wasn't true. Even after the condition Andy was in & their mother flying there from LA, it was just them to celebrate his 30th bday. How appalling on Robin's part!! Robin also NEVER went to the hospital as you claimed he did, so stop protecting him when it was wrong of him not to show up! Also, Andy would prob never become a pilot due to his history with drug abuse, so why do you keep throwing that in there? You're always blaming it on Barry "for hauling him back into the studio when he wasn't ready". What the hell were they suppose to do after him being out of work for 2+ years?? He had to do something, & he obviously had a good start on writing with Barry & Mo.

Many people smoke pot and lead healthy productive lives. Another thing Barry said they all did meth to stay awake but Robin became addicted to meth and had to go to rehab many times to get off it. I remember him being hospitalized quite a bit back then. He was already a high strung person and on meth he was very paranoid. Living around him must have been a nightmare. That's when he left the band and his parents tried to make him a ward of the court as he was so uncontrollable. After he and Molly split he broke into her house and stole papers he purported showed Molly and her lawyer were having an affair and were trying to extort 5 million dollars from him. He sent Moly a threatening letter allegedly saying he had taken out a contract . He was arrested but was quickly sprung from jail. Molly dropped the charges but refused to let him see his kids for 6 years. He said he had slept with over a hundred women because he had" a high sex drive" Yeah some angel!!!

I love all three of the fantastic Brothers Gibb and Andy, too. They are all so gorgeous and sexy and amazingly talented with in their own right. It's not wrong to have a favorite and love him and still be respectful to the other brothers and their fans. Barry has always been my favorite since I was 5 -6 years old watching them with my mom and grandma way back in 1968. He just had that extra special something! My mom always used to say God must have spent a little more time on Barry because to her he was so beautiful and almost perfect.. I believe she's right because he certainly has been blessed with so much. Three beautiful and talented little brothers who looked up to him, spectacular career, a truly lovingly devoted and gorgeous wife, a big beautiful loving family, a great big giving heart, a wonderful smile and the cutest most infectious laugh, incredible talent, great business sense, gorgeous face, hair and body. I never noticed Barry talking more than the twins. They could all talk as much as they wanted. Barry never stopped them from talking. It's probably because he was the oldest and the interviewers naturally went to him first. Myself I loved to hear Barry talk. He had a very soft and sexy voice. @@kthor For twins, it is different. They share things that other siblings don't. They can feel each other's pain, understand each other like no other, and are close no matter where they live. It's something that a non-twin will fully understand. I am dating someone who is a twin and even though they live far away from each other, they are very close. They talk every day, share things that they only share with each other, they feel what the other feels, they protect each other and trust each other completely, etc. Closeness in where they reside seems to not matter with twins. They have those special mental and physical connections that other siblings don't have. When a twin passes away, the remaining twin feels lost and a part of them is gone. It's amazing how twins are.

They enjoyed spending summers together doing outdoor activities with their families: boating, fishing, playing games, etc. Stephen's also talked about this on a podcast. Those were things Robin never did as he was more of an indoor type of guy. After all, it was Mo who used to say the 3 of them were more like triplets than anything.❤️ PS: I have 9 siblings, with 4 being twins. One set is close, the other not so much!
Otis Redding passed away 1967. His sound and the sound of the 70s through the 80s are completely different. Why even mention the Beatles? In past interviews, I've never heard them mention Motown. I guess the answers should be what is convenient at the time.
For all their supposed conflict and competition, in interviews there is plenty of interaction between Barry and Robin (looks, laughs) with Mo more of an "outsider". At least that's what I see.
Think Barry & Mo were closer than people realize. After all, they lived next door or within minutes of each other for over 25 years in Miami. Robin only lived there a short time, then would occasionally return for work. Before the One For All Tour (which they're promoting here), their last tour was Spirits in 1979 & the next wouldn't be until 1997. So Barry, Mo & their families spent a lot of time together between those tours. Stephen's talked about it on a podcast & was neat to hear the things they did! Barry & Mo were more into boating & outdoor rec stuff (as was Andy), while Robin was more of an inside guy & not into those family bonding moments.

Arsenio was trying to praise the boys for "owning" disco 🕺 Which they did of course. But they were fighting against that label here. They were so defensive about it when they came back with 'ESP' & this record 💿 Which is understandable. Especially in America, where the disco backlash was very aggressive.
I'm so glad they were recognised in the 90's with lifetime achievement awards & rock hall of fame 🎶 It was long overdue and well deserved. Barry is my all time favourite composer. I'm so sad that he's the only one left. I feel very fortunate to have seen them @ Wembley in 1998 💚

Yes, they are the best! And Barry is the heart breaker looking one! I am 72 now and just love their music. I am reading a documentary on them and sadly, it was not always roses for them. They had to keep reinventing themselves and did. But the saddest thing is, Mo was an alcoholic and Robin was on pills. Ma have contributed to their early deaths. Barry stayed clean and has a great family and wife! She’s a lucky one!
Mo stopped drinking in the late 80's after having a relapse when Andy died but was sober until he died. It did not cause his death in any way. His autopsy showed his liver had regenerated, which livers can do, but he did have some heart disease, not terribly unusual at his age, and he was still a smoker. Robin was not on pills since the early to mid 70's according to Barry (that would be about 40 years clean since his 20's) and he became a vegan, non smoker and non drinker so that had no effect on his death either. Andy was also sent to live with Robin under his care after Andy went to rehab. I found it strange that Barry didn't take in his so called "twin". There is no way they would have put him with a drug user! Both twins had a volvulus which is genetic. Robin also developed colorectal cancer which ran in the paternal side of his family and so was obviously beyond his control. All three brothers used amphetamines when they were young, by Barry's admission, for alertness due to their hectic schedule. Barry and Linda both used pot for quite a while. Perhaps they still do. Their guitarist for decades, Alan Kendall, said Barry and Linda often shared a bong. Andy was the only one whose death was directly related to drug use. He used cocaine which weakened his heart leaving him vulnerable to a virus that caused a heart inflammation, myocarditis. I know these are facts because I was an registered nurse for 40 years.
@@susieq9801 Any diehard Bee Gees fan should know this, but the last time Mo was in rehab was in 1991, after he pulled a gun on his family. Also, Robin was still taking pills up to & after Molly filed for divorce & for some time after. Once again, Barry protecting their image & reputation by saying Robin was no longer using, when the courts ruled differently. Also you know the truth about Andy, so stop spreading bs! The last time Andy went through rehab was 1985, which the family then moved him back to Miami. He was there with Barry & Mo for over 2 years (look into their Love & Hope Tennis Tournaments & Balls, Andy getting his pilots license then, etc) and then in 1987, the three of them wrote 4 songs together for Andy's new album. In late 1987, Barry took Andy to Island Records in London to negotiate a deal, as no labels in the US would sign him. Robin didn't live far from there, so it made sense for Andy to stay with him when he returned early 1988. But something I've wondered is why didn't Robin help Andy write the rest of his songs, since that's what he was there for?? Wasn't Robin suppose to be a prolific songwriter? You've given Barry more💩for not writing with Robin after Mo died, but yet Andy's right there to write & Robin doesn't help him?? After all, it's in Andy's autobiography that he was clean & wasn't drinking when he left Miami. According to their mother, he didn't actually start until being at Robin's several weeks, when he developed writers block. So why the hell didn't Robin step up to help his baby brother, like Barry & Mo had been doing for 2 years before that?? You've also argued that Robin was there on Andy's bday, which wasn't true. Even after the condition Andy was in & their mother flying there from LA, it was just them to celebrate his 30th bday. How appalling on Robin's part!! Robin also NEVER went to the hospital as you claimed he did, so stop protecting him when it was wrong of him not to show up! Also, Andy would prob never become a pilot due to his history with drug abuse, so why do you keep throwing that in there? You're always blaming it on Barry "for hauling him back into the studio when he wasn't ready". What the hell were they suppose to do after him being out of work for 2+ years?? He had to do something, & he obviously had a good start on writing with Barry & Mo.

Many people smoke pot and lead healthy productive lives. Another thing Barry said they all did meth to stay awake but Robin became addicted to meth and had to go to rehab many times to get off it. I remember him being hospitalized quite a bit back then. He was already a high strung person and on meth he was very paranoid. Living around him must have been a nightmare. That's when he left the band and his parents tried to make him a ward of the court as he was so uncontrollable. After he and Molly split he broke into her house and stole papers he purported showed Molly and her lawyer were having an affair and were trying to extort 5 million dollars from him. He sent Moly a threatening letter allegedly saying he had taken out a contract . He was arrested but was quickly sprung from jail. Molly dropped the charges but refused to let him see his kids for 6 years. He said he had slept with over a hundred women because he had" a high sex drive" Yeah some angel!!!

I love all three of the fantastic Brothers Gibb and Andy, too. They are all so gorgeous and sexy and amazingly talented with in their own right. It's not wrong to have a favorite and love him and still be respectful to the other brothers and their fans. Barry has always been my favorite since I was 5 -6 years old watching them with my mom and grandma way back in 1968. He just had that extra special something! My mom always used to say God must have spent a little more time on Barry because to her he was so beautiful and almost perfect.. I believe she's right because he certainly has been blessed with so much. Three beautiful and talented little brothers who looked up to him, spectacular career, a truly lovingly devoted and gorgeous wife, a big beautiful loving family, a great big giving heart, a wonderful smile and the cutest most infectious laugh, incredible talent, great business sense, gorgeous face, hair and body. Whatever happened to Arsenio Hall? He ran a really great show. He had great guests and his introductions were first class. He was extremely articulate and a good interviewer who knew when to listen and when to talk.

I never noticed Barry talking more than the twins. They could all talk as much as they wanted. Barry never stopped them from talking. It's probably because he was the oldest and the interviewers naturally went to him first. Myself I loved to hear Barry talk. He had a very soft and sexy voice. And his laugh is so adorable and infectious.

@@kthor For twins, it is different. They share things that other siblings don't. They can feel each other's pain, understand each other like no other, and are close no matter where they live. It's something that a non-twin will fully understand. I am dating someone who is a twin and even though they live far away from each other, they are very close. They talk every day, share things that they only share with each other, they feel what the other feels, they protect each other and trust each other completely, etc. Closeness in where they reside seems to not matter with twins. They have those special mental and physical connections that other siblings don't have. When a twin passes away, the remaining twin feels lost and a part of them is gone. It's amazing how twins are.

They enjoyed spending summers together doing outdoor activities with their families: boating, fishing, playing games, etc. Stephen's also talked about this on a podcast. Those were things Robin never did as he was more of an indoor type of guy. After all, it was Mo who used to say the 3 of them were more like triplets than anything.❤️

Otis Redding passed away 1967. His sound and the sound of the 70s through the 80s are completely different. Why even mention the Beatles? In past interviews, I've never heard them mention Motown. I guess the answers should be what is convenient at the time.

For all their supposed conflict and competition, in interviews there is plenty of interaction between Barry and Robin (looks, laughs) with Mo more of an "outsider". At least that's what I see.
Depends on the interview. Sometimes you can see the special bond between the twins, and Barry is the outsider.
Think Barry & Mo were closer than people realize. After all, they lived next door or within minutes of each other for over 25 years in Miami. Robin only lived there a short time, then would occasionally return for work. Before the One For All Tour (which they're promoting here), their last tour was Spirits in 1979 & the next wouldn't be until 1997. So Barry, Mo & their families spent a lot of time together between those tours. Stephen's talked about it on a podcast & was neat to hear the things they did! Barry & Mo were more into boating & outdoor rec stuff (as was Andy), while Robin was more of an inside guy & not into those family bonding moments.
@@kthor Robin and Dwina both said they didn't really care for Florida. They weren't into the sunshine. They said they much preferred the rather gloomy climate of England. Barry and Mo loved the sunshine and were always out doors. I remember how they both had really dark tans all of the time. Gorgeous guys!♥♥♥

Think any fan would have to be ignorant to think at some point RJ didn't see something. Thank God the courts ruled with Molly in keeping the kids away from him for years.
