I live in Hawaii. One Saturday night some friends and I were out at a club just hanging out. And all of a sudden the dj stopped the music and all of a sudden we seen this guy hopped up on the bar and started jamming his guitar. At first everyone was like wth! But when everyone seen who it was the place went nuts! Was just cool to see someone at this caliber hanging out in the club and most of all getting up and performing and giving us a free show. Something I’ll never forget! This musical genius is truly missed!

He grew up in the 1970s and 1980s when musicians had to know how to play instruments and arrange songs etc. Outside of using the Linn drum machine, I doubt if Prince used technology in a big way back then.

On stage he was pure kinetic force, dancing like no one else, seemingly able to play any instrument ever created, and vocal performances that were pure passion. But when people sat down with him he was gentle, almost shy. Could have been anything he wanted to be, became a musical genius that inspired many generations, and will continue to inspire countless generations still to come. If there is a God out there, Prince was one of his messengers: just like the greatest composers of the past, Bach and Handel, you can hear the touch of the divine in his music. I met Prince when I was 18 years old and he treated me so good. My friend worked at the Madison Square Garden and he used to let me in through the back door and I begged him to let me in during the Prince concert so he let me in two hours before the concert and I got to hang with Prince for almost a whole hour and he treated me as if I was apart of the setup crew and I never wanted to meet anyone other-then Prince in my entire life and that experience I will never forget for the rest of my life. I was in the front row when the concert came on and he seen me and threw his guitar pick at me and this girl who was next to me started to cry because I got the pick and she didn’t so I wound up giving her the pick as much as I wanted that pick. Prince seen that I gave her the pick and he wound up giving me an actual album with his signature after the concert was done. I have the album to this day. I was offered huge amounts because he never signed that album ever. I have a picture of him giving me the album for I have the provenance. Prince is a true icon to me and I never cared to see any other celebrity. He was the only celebrity I asked my friend to let me in to see. I wound up seeing his concert every single day he was at the garden which was 5 shows in total. I watched all 5 of those shows and I spent so much time with him in each show. I will cherish those memories for the rest of my life. He treated everyone the exact same way. He didn’t care if you were ugly or gorgeous or fat or skinny. He treated everyone the exact same way. I will never forget that. Ever!!!!

He grew up in the 1970s and 1980s when musicians had to know how to play instruments and arrange songs etc. Outside of using the Linn drum machine, I doubt if Prince used technology in a big way back then.

Prince is beautiful and I love his Afro which is beautiful and majestic. Such a musical genius and fashion icon.
Prince, so soft spoken and intelligent, always thinking carefully about any question before answering. On stage he was pure kinetic force, dancing like no one else, seemingly able to play any instrument ever created, and vocal performances that were pure passion. But when people sat down with him he was gentle, almost shy. Could have been anything he wanted to be, became a musical genius that inspired many generations, and will continue to inspire countless generations still to come.
If there is a God out there, Prince was one of his messengers: just like the greatest composers of the past, Bach and Handel, you can hear the touch of the divine in his music. RIP Your Royal Badness. I still can't believe you're gone. You were the embodiment of cool, and you'll always be my hero. Thank you so much for teaching a white kid from Europe all about the funk.

I met Prince when I was 18 years old and he treated me so good. My friend worked at the Madison Square Garden and he used to let me in through the back door and I begged him to let me in during the Prince concert so he let me in two hours before the concert and I got to hang with Prince for almost a whole hour and he treated me as if I was apart of the setup crew and I never wanted to meet anyone other-then Prince in my entire life and that experience I will never forget for the rest of my life. I was in the front row when the concert came on and he seen me and threw his guitar pick at me and this girl who was next to me started to cry because I got the pick and she didn’t so I wound up giving her the pick as much as I wanted that pick. Prince seen that I gave her the pick and he wound up giving me an actual album with his signature after the concert was done. I have the album to this day. I was offered huge amounts because he never signed that album ever. I have a picture of him giving me the album for I have the provenance. Prince is a true icon to me and I never cared to see any other celebrity. He was the only celebrity I asked my friend to let me in to see. I wound up seeing his concert every single day he was at the garden which was 5 shows in total. I watched all 5 of those shows and I spent so much time with him in each show. I will cherish those memories for the rest of my life. He treated everyone the exact same way. He didn’t care if you were ugly or gorgeous or fat or skinny. He treated everyone the exact same way. I will never forget that. Ever!!!!
