- Liam and Sanak give their predictions for what could happen in the upcoming fifth episode of The Acolyte. They discuss who and how the darksider/Sith will target and attack, if Yorde, Jecki, and Sol will be able to make it out of the episode, if the darksider will be revealed, and what roles Mae and Osha will have on Khofar and beyond with the darksider.

The way the Jedi were thrown away, like oh Jedi interrupting our chat, flicks finger, it’s almost dismissive
Definitely shows the power and craziness of the Darksider, but it's probably just a one-time usage seeing ad they were caught off guard.
Nice analysis guys. So rare to watch an objective Star Wars fan or review channel that isn't full of the typical anti-Disney toxic bile. Just subscribed. Keep it coming.
Thank you so much! Glad to have you a part of the community!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🫵🫵🫵🫵😂😂🙄🙄
X-23 gets killed by Darth gimp, then osha goes HAM. Darth gimp will want to train her.
She has been mentioning that the Force is coming back to her too, not a bad shout
Yeah! Sounds nice. But maybe just a scratch? Can you actually kill robots?
I guess we’ll see osha go HAM IN A LATER EPISODE.
Yeah they said it the two episodes 4 & 5 had to be cut into two and unfortuanely they had to pick this spot because it was the best spot though they realized it made the first half (part 4) much shorter then the second half (part 5). I'm expecting a 45 to 55 minute epsidode 5 based on what they have said.
We're hoping it's a meaty episode, but Headland also said the finale is only 40 minutes or so, so not counting on it ourselves personally.
10:54 “Heart and SOL of the show!” Yes!!
Yeah we caught that too in the recording lol
Yord is toast. Probably every Jedi dies in this battle but Sol and Jecki, and they survive with Osha and Mae.
Good picks, too bad stuck-up-heart-of-gold Yord is a likely goner :(
Yeah, the theory Yord will redeem himself, saving somebody, is a good one. I think one of them is Heckle.
everyone makes fun of the floating, you're the only one I've heard so far that mentions Dooku doing it. Finally.
Not by everyone we'd hope, but yeah the Darksider isn't flying, just using the force to silently fall to the ground slowly. That's just a creative choice, especially to do it out of focus to add some horror elements
Qimir being the Sith Apprectince (Master of Mae) is fairly obvious now. Though its unclear if he is truly pulling a charade or is being somewhat honest. He claims to care about her. Its possible he has formed some kind of attachments to her that go beyond training his apprentice. The way he looked at Osha in the shop was creepy, kind implied something.
There's some really creepy and strange behavior from Qimir, we agree. Still could be a red herring, and he may not even be an apprentice, just an Acolyte himself. Could also be possessed by the mask or something. Hope we get some amazing action, deaths, answers, twists, and a strong back half to the show!
I really want the sith to be Venamis.. he did the whole levatation thing and monitored numerous other possible apprentices.
Tenebrous or Venamis? Venamis was himself a candidate replacement for Plagueis
I predict at the end, we all gonna see Darth Plagueis the Wise
Still a bit too early for that, unless Tenebrous finds him as a youth
I'm loving the references to Alien, from the Sith xenomorphic helmet to the way they lowered down. Brilliant!
Lot of great references to some great TV and movies visually for sure
And the "he's here" line from Mae made me yell: "Now she wants to be Sigourney Weaver!" Then I saw that lowering and knew it was on purpose.
Qimir wants the witches resurrected. He has to appease his master, Plagueis to resurrect them.
Interesting angle!
I’m hoping for something to really align it with The Phantom Menace, and the Star Wars that we really do know. Balance the galaxy, balance the story
Keep dreaming
@PaulBrailsford It's still set 100 years before. That's like having a person today relates to someone from the 1920s. It's much closer to The High Republic, but if you mean Jedi hubris, dueling styles, etc, we think we're going to have a hefty amount of that by the end.
I like your Star Wars avatar/logo. I recognize the font from an early famous 1976 poster by Chaykin. I have a replica of that famous poster hanging on my wall. Classy guys! FYI that poster has an asking price of $15k on eBay.
Yeah, we found a font file way back that had that!
Hi, just wanted to let you guys know I will be busy and not going to make it to this weeks live but I will be on the following weeks live
All good, look forward to seeing you again soon!
I feel like they are using the mystery of the siths identity as a destraction. The real story is something way darker
Yeah, most likely what happened on Brendok and some extra twists we haven't seen just yet!
Calling this now Qimir is Darth Venamis
That'd be a very interesting change! Not much about being a Bith that's important for him, but it still might be just a bit too early timeline wise. Perhaps a first candidate before the eventual Plagueis and Venamis, or a proto-Naat Lare?
Close but not quite. Vernestra Rwoh is the key to it all, can't say anymore.
@@captricharddee3634 yeah! I knew Vern is a very bad person when she said "you go to that planet instead and take Mae with you" to Sol. Why would she do that, if she didn't want them dead or captured?
Well given the fact the the episodes are usually pretty ( short lived ) 😅 mostly under an hour for most episodes, they’ll at least have the lightsaber fight and the retreat of the survivors from the event.
That's what we're thinking too!
Qimir is so obviously the Sith it's silly. The plotting and pacing in the series is questionable so far. My wife and I are enjoying it, but can't help but point out the glaring flaws. She's a writer in tv, radio, and film herself (nothing big), and has been fairly critical and questioning a lot of decisions that were made. If given such a world to play in she would explore much more, and I can't help but agree. There needs to be more world building around these characters.
We definitely agree about the world building, feels like a lot of S1s of shows use the whole season to flesh out details that can be planted and harvested from the start. Hopefully the pacing improves in the back half, we think 3 should've had more teases and hints to justify it's placement, otherwise it could've been shortened and served as part of the premiere episode. Our film education/background is making us notice this as well, but we can only hope that at least this week the dueling and aura of this darksider makes for a truly great episode!
They are purposely posing Qimir as the obvious choice for the Darkside character to distract viewers form the real person. I predict it is Mother Koril, not a Sith, but a Witch! She survived the fire and Jedi attack. Trained harder to use the Force/Thread for revenge. Remember this covenant was big on Force pushing and the Darksider did it better than anyone I have seen. She acquired the lightsaber from the covenant as a relic to their past. Recruited Mae to be an acolyte while maintaining a false identity. The Darksiders voice is synthesized. Remember how much distrust she had with the Jedi in episode 2. Mama wants her kids back and wants revenge! Think about this too...why would Qimir, a supposed Sith, be so inclined to chase down Jedi he has never come across. Mother Koril has all the motive and anger to do it. Not him.
Good reasoning overall, but does the mask have much space for her Zabrak horns? And even if she learned to use the lightsaber, we haven't seen her use any weapon before, plus the possession that Mother Aniseya demonstrates could be an easier tool for her. Maybe the mask is possessing Qimir remotely? Who knows, but we're looking forward to the reveal!
@@starwarslads Yes the helmet has a bulge in the front-top area. No way the Jedi wipe out the witches without taking out their leader. Somehow Koril survived. A mother's revenge is no joke!
Qimir is the apprentice (ala Darth vader) and is the guy in the helmet, one of the witches (one of the mothers) who survived are the master.
Leslie revealed she wanted a female villain and had fascination with Ursula from little mermaid as a kid, and wants a different take on the sith, and that they arent so bad from certain perspectives. How could qimir represent sith being not so bad if he is the master. Nah he is just the apprentice and one of the mothers are the sith master.
@Haterade888 could see that then. Hopefully they keep the storylines a bit more separate, we'd prefer if it's not just a false alarm witch possession story in the present day so that it can tie to Tenebrous, Plagueis, and the Baneite Sith
I wish they were smart enough writers to do a red herring, but they're not. Tonight we're gonna see Qimir after his helmet comes off in a fight with perhaps even both sisters, and I think we're finally gonna see Osha have to pick up a weapon and fight to save herself, and maybe even her sister. I imagine she'll end up getting her hands on one of the sabers from a fallen Jedi that Qimir ends up killing in the upcoming fight. I feel like she completed her task by figuring out he was her master, and tricking him into killing the Wookie.
No sith but an acolyte who we know isn’t an actual sith which would make what Mundi said true when he said the sith haven’t been around in a millennium
But Mundi isn't right regardless. In Legends there is Tenebrous, Plagueis, Venamis and Palpatine all active in a lineage that continued from Bane and Zannah. He's arrogant and dismissive of Qui-Gon's own experience, A reflection of how Sith infiltration was helped by Jedi dogma, that's the point of that line.
I’d go with plageuis being Qmir or the other Sith not seen yet being that guy.
Plagueis is too early, unless he's also being aged up. His story really operates best after the ideal golden age values and image of the Jedi have started to seriously fade away. It could work, but maybe it's Tenebrous, Venamis, or even the Acolyte of the show itself.
I really think that guy that was helping may is the sith
Qimir looks to be the best pick, but hope there's an extra twist or something on top of the eventual reveal!
It’s gotta be Qimir. I mean he was completely gone by the time the Jedi arrived at the area he was tied up. And what was Sol looking at when he told Osha it was “nothing” the bigger twist is he wants osha now, not mae any longer.
Yeah, definitely needs to be a layered twist. Could Qimir not even be an apprentice, maybe the Acolyte himself? Could the mask be using witch or Sith possession techniques? We're not sure, but four more episodes to hopefully start making this show really strong!
But wouldn't it be too obvious if it was Qimir? I mean that's the first thing you think about him, when he appears. "Is he the Sith Master?" But in my opinion it would be too on the nose. It's 2024, why would anyone do that?
It was Qimir 💀💯
@@predatorblr9457 I guess 2024 is still the same as previous generations since they did that.
@@TheAimsback Ig so. I am disappointed. When Mae blitzed Qimir in episode 2 and he easily turned tables, it was clear as day he was a sith and I then thought it was a Red Herring to confuse us. But then it was not the smell of fish but bad writing.
The fight was cool tho. Question: Is Sol a better combatant than Qimir? Or was he just able to defeat him because he channeled his anger about Qimir killing a "child" (the actress is 19 yo, in most parts of the world she'd be an adult).
I want the most lethal Sith fight ever! I want them all to die for Ki Adi Mundi to stay dumb. I want Osha and May framed for the deaths of the Jedi. I want it to becaome a tragedy. I dont want Qimir to be a Sith. I want the sith to be Darth Tenebrous looking for an apprentice, before Plagueis and that other dude, who by the way could also float. Isnt Tenebrous looking like that Cantona Band dude?
Mae
Tenebrous is a Bith in Legends, same species as the Cantina band. We hope everyone dies by the end of the show after sone crazy fighting, and most in this episode too! Thing is, whoever the Darksider is, they gotta make the scene have plausible deniability by Mundi and Vernestra. It's rather easy to have Mundi's ignorance and arrogance continued further, but Vernestra is a harder sell. There's some very suspicious behavior from her part...
@@starwarslads Yes Im hyped as can be. Venestra is on some weird stuff, I guarantee... Ahhhhhh
I just have a feeling that when the dust settles May is going to be the evil twin
Her doubling down on being evil? That could work well and be a good twist, considering she's very ready to turn this past episode. Unless you mean Osha? There's a good chance!
@@starwarslads agree, and just look at the picture of her and zipper sith. She's on one side of the red light saber and he's on the other side. I don't think that Disney just did this for kicks.
Do you mean from our thumbnail? That's Osha haha!
@@starwarslads yes, I know. Osha is the true vilan. Just wait and see. And remember the scene when they were in the briefing and bazil was sniffing her. I don't think it was her droid. Bazil reacted similar in the forest when maye fell down. They wouldn't just put the two scenes in there for nothing. I enjoy your videos by the way 🔥
I predict the dark sider will be revealed by the writers as Abeloth…because, chaos.
Friend, now THAT is chaos!

Is the reactions good?!
Check our response to your other comment!
I'm thinking/hoping Qimir is The Sith Apprentice and Sol is the Sith Master.
I'll take an even bigger swing, Sol is indeed Darth Plagueis (Legends canon of him being a Muun be damned).
It would be crazy if Sol is not just a Sith, but arguably THE Sith. Let's watch and find out haha!
A lot of my theory hinges on Episode 3 on the bridge. As the twins fall, Sol reaches out a hand, and, for a brief moment, he looks like he's force pushing. We don't see Mae fall, but Sol says she's dead. I believe he saved both twins and lied.
If what you think is true, it would be
a$$. So let's hope not
Im guessing Nick Gillard isnt involved, episode 5 is going to be whack
Do you mean Good Omens or The Sandman? We haven't heard him working on The Acolyte
@@starwarslads Nick Gillard... Lol been a long day, edited it.
Ah okay. Wouldn't ever say no to Nick, but for years people complained that his choreo was too flashy and not weighty. The ST has some underrated dueling, but it also makes sense post-Order 66 and under Luke's training that the dueling would only somewhat return to prequel speed. We expect there to be some great fighting, that Obi-Wan vs Vader finale duel was pretty great choreo wise, cinematography diminished it a bit. Hopefully there's some good stuff!
Some reactions are really crappy
To the show, or our own? To the former, there are definitely a lot of people making clickbait videos in bad faith with poor knowledge and very poor behavior. There are also some overtly positive people, but that's a smaller group overall with how toxic any positive discussion on the show has been attacked by people online with misunderstanding of lore and bias.
As for our own reactions, we are mixed to positive, but we make sure this is a safe space for anyone to give their feedback on this show or anything Star Wars. As long as you're respectful to others, all discussion is welcome. If you attack us or anyone here, that's not cool and won't fly. We make sure to give our fair critiques on Star Wars, especially live action since we have film backgrounds ourselves, but otherwise we understand we're two of many voices online and not the ultimate voices in the fandom. Were just two lads who really enjoy talking Star Wars, and if you like that, stick around!
Some don’t have any video
I predict that it's going to be terrible
Good for you!
@@starwarsladsWe all can sense the disturbance in the Force 😂
Of course it is. Every episode has been so far.
I predict that you're going to watch any way. 😂😂😂
@@hotfroganimationsI liked the episodes. But your opinion has to be the gold standard.
The writer said on X that episode 4 and 5 were written at the same time and they decided to split them at the scene where the battle begins. So episode 4 is very short but episode 5 will be longer because of that. Episode 5 was written by the same people and will be longer. The writer has since put her account in protected mode.
Since this Sith is only the apprentice and is clearly more powerful than 8 Jedi we can only imagine their Master is probably a match for any Jedi in existence. How this all remains a secret seems impossible unless everyone dies on this planet and the Sith go back into hiding. Or more cringe lore changes will happen which seems to be the most likely course of events. Clearly canon is just cannon fodder at this point and was from inception.
While we don't like changes to Canon, in no way has lore been definitively changed yet. For example, there was no Canon date for Ki-Adi Mundi before the show aired, which you can see from Liam's video on our channel about characters from The High Republic and the Prequel trilogy who could be in The Acolyte. A darksider or Sith coming in and rampaging and massacring Jedi with the evidence erased is also a plausible fit, especially if the evidence can be blamed on the twins or a rogue Jedi, or if Vernestra pulls a Dooku and erases the finer details of the records. Sith killed Jedi throughout the Plagueis novel and Maul: Shadow Hunter without being caught as well. We don't like Filoni changing how Kanan's origin was in the comics and the like, but this show hasn't done anything to that extreme yet.
@@starwarslads Having him be there wasn't even necessary, it could have been just another random Jedi like the rest present. Having the show take place 100 years before TPM wasn't necessary either. The Sith have been extinct for a millennia. Having the show take place at that time and exploring that story would have been more interesting to me and they wouldn't have to worry canon.
If the story took place 1000 years before, then it's the Bane era. When the Sith were active. Mundi being there isn't a problem, it's a complication of events. In Legends there is Tenebrous, Plagueis, Venamis and Palpatine all active around when The Acolyte is set in a lineage that continued from Bane and Zannah. Mundi is arrogant and dismissive of Qui-Gon's own experience in TPM, A reflection of how Sith infiltration was helped by Jedi dogma, that's the point of that line. There's hopefully even more layers and twists, but The Acolyte was never going to be set 1000 years before, that ruins the point of showing the fall of the Jedi from their golden age and what the Sith did or took advantage of. You don't have to like it ofc, but the setting was selected for a good reason.
@@starwarslads Wow. it really wasn't but believe what you want I guess.
