The bill dozer played the drums for redcorns band by smashing khans mom so hard it broke the space time continuum what you hear isn't actually a drum machine but the head board of the Billdozers bed. Khans mom apparently likes it rough an I càn say this cause the creator of the show actually confirmed this in my fanfiction.
I still maintain Bill and Governor Richards shouldve got a few episodes together but i understand that was not the nature of television at the time most shows did not do continuity like that
I think the least they could have done was thrown him a bone by the end of the series. I known he had Kahn's mom, but that only lasted like 2 episodes before she disappeared. Like, my lord, his biggest mistake in life is loving someone too much.
For real, little things like that really humanize public figures like politicians in my opinion. 98% of them would refuse and/or insist the character is removed because they want to keep their reputation the way it is. Meanwhile I went from not even knowing who she is to thinking she's a pretty cool lady.
Bill AND Bobby both got a lot of attention from the opposite sex during the duration of the whole show, despite being portrayed as fat and undesirable 😂
Bobby is so confident that i don't think anyone could dislike him, he's got that charm with women that the guys in adan sandler movies pretend they have.
I think it’s because both of them are nice guys all around and are sensitive. Bobby is a charmer and Bill when in a good mental state is also charming and sweet
Okay but Laoma and Bill's relationship was so fucking adorable. They were perfect for one another. The episode where they meet always warms my cold ass heart.
Yeah that wouldn’t really happen. Because it built up that they both had genuine interest in each other and Protestant pastors/reverends can marry. So of course they wouldn’t object to it. It’s not like she is a priest.
The Reverend left her profession, and told Bill she loved him. Yet he still threw her out. Episodes like this are just mean spirited and flanderize Bill. Later seasons make him a bigger loser, Dale a bigger conspiracy nut, and Hank as the voice of the writers who's never wrong and call everyone out all the time
I cant tell you how excited i am to find a channel dedicated to one of my comfort shows, and voiced by my favorite animal, a squirrel. Is this heaven? Excuse me while i binge watch everything at work.
I think you're correct that "the powers that be" keep Bill single bc it's easier to syndicate if Bill is back to being single and miserable at the end of every episode. I do want to disagree with you about Charlene, tho. It is a bad episode, but Bill/Charlene/her kids actually seem like a good genuine match before Dale decides to break them up. I think this is one of those episodes where John Redcorn comes off as a creep, when it's actual Dale who is being the most terrible person. Dale is shown to have such a low opinion of Bill that he sabotages his friend's new family and would rather have his (perceived) child be raised by a single woman over having Bill fill in a father. Not only dies Dale never face any consequences for being a terrible friend, Charlene and kids move in with Redcorn at the end (never to be heard from again!). To me, that's what makes this a rotten episode. You say Bill's insecurities are what most often sabotages his relationships, which does happen... But I'd argue that Laoma, Stroop, Charlene, and Leanne are the only real relationships he's had. He does self-sabotage Leanne by not refilling his perscription... But Stroop is really the only relationship he destroyed from his own insecurity. Both Laoma and Charlene were undermined by Bill's friends/neighbors. In the end, you conclude "the powers that be wanted to keep Bill single and unhappy", which is true... But you've also skirted the "in world" accountability of Bill's closest friends that would rather keep him miserable over finding happiness with someone important to them.
There were two women you forgot to mention in the list of not actual relationships. #1. The female cop from the episode " Tankin It To The Street " who Bill asks for both her name, number, and reservation for a date. That she agrees to. #2. The drunk driver woman from the episode " The Peggy Horror Picture Show " saw Bill as attractive, and Bill replied that she had an eye so dilated and even offered to drive for her.
