I know I've been an admirer for many years. I used to visit the shop in Melbourne.
Love it. I have all the fancy machines available, but sometimes the old Kurt and the V block is the way to go. Lights and plates mess up race bike lines, but doing it like you do keeps it clean in either configuration.

I started off learning & running a few C&C's coding running & loving doing it the hole time. You could say a dream come true without a dough. Recently as in the last year or so I have gotten into more Bridgeport & manual lathe work because the opportunity presented it self & was also on the list of things I wanted to know everything I could learn about. I spend evenings & nights studying with People I respect such as You, Dirthead Dave, Puddin, & a few other Guys I learn from It's like taking classes from the most talented Artists You could. A real treat & blessing to boot. 👏😎
Sure miss having a mill and a lathe at my disposal on a daily basis. Completely necessary piece of kit for fabrication.

I made v blocks in HS 45 years ago. What are those tires? What I need for my true cafe bike. The Metzler looks wrong on the back, the avon on front looks correct, and I'm not using my knee on pavement!

Because you need to be able to keep it from vibrating downward. I can’t do that with the fender strut hole
