Folks, this is the big one. We’ve looked at all kinds of different plays in this series, but we’ve never looked at them together.
That’s right, this week, we’re bringing you the list we somehow had never done until now.
Here are the Top 10 Esports Plays of all Time.

There's a term for when a basketball player ends up on a poster for another player, usually getting dunked on or being ankle broken, Posterized. It can also be used when a sweet play is made, basically saying the guys gonna end up on someone elses poster looking the fool. What happened to Ryu is the esports equivalent of getting posterized.

I know fighting games don't get a whole lot of love in eSports but that play just dispels the biggest arguments people make about fighting games and that all you do is "just push buttons." Okay xpeke played a champ called kassadin. His ult is to warp a cetain distance. each use costs the amount x twice (100, 200, 400, 800...).
He backdoored into the base from sk gaming to destroy the nexus (your nexus dead=you lost, enemy nexus dead= win).
In that base was a champ called olaf. he can swing axes and each hit does take a lot of dmg and slows the enemy. So he dodged them (because they're skillshots) and was able to hit 5000hp to 0 with his auto attacks while dodging all skillshots and not dying.

With the xPeke you can at least conclude that xPeke who was the purple dude managed to kill the big crystal to win the game. In Ryu vs Faker, most people, some even that played LoL, don't understand what made that play good, this goes doubly for those that don't understand Zed's mechanics and the limitations present when using him, or how his Death Mark debuff works and just how tight a rope Faker was on during that play.

I agree, but I feel like even a little bit of context is enough for people to get the significance of that play. Knowing that parries are frame specific and that they were the only way to stay alive and that a combo that would kill was really necessary to win is enough to see how great this was, but again, one may need to play the game to really get it. I have played games similar to the ones that were mentioned here so I actually get the significance of a lot of them, so I agree that knowing the game is important to understand the hype plays

Have you guys ever thought of doing any Smite content? I know it isn't as popular as League, but we've definitely had a few really interesting moments that could be talked about; EnvyUs vs SoaR match resulting in Envy getting crushed so hard they surrendered after just under 3 minutes, Incon being kicked from his pro team before making his own pro team and inviting his best friend who then got him kicked from THAT team too, Deathwalker making Ares solo lane a thing that inspired tanky supports to go solo lane for years, or even go into the shady stuff to do with DMBrandon, although he may be a bit of a bleaker choice.
Consider it if you can! It would be amazing to let others find out about our pro scene and the stories we've had!

The bunker rush was really not new at all at the time. The move is remembered for Boxer's gall of pulling this risky strategy 3 times in a row, which is extremely ballsy and never seen in such high levels. It showed a level of disrespect that burned Yellow forever. Well at least until he became just so much better than Boxer later on, when they both were not at the top any more.

Moment 37 is special cuz chuns super comes out in 1 frame so to parry it you have to input parry before the super flash, this is never mentioned. If daigo waited until Justin supered him he wouldn't have been able to parry the first hit, he predicted it. That's why Justin supered because it's impossible to react to, you have to predict it.

Since you ask for other plays that could have been included, I think as a huge League fan that the most impressive LoL play ever was the 2017 worlds group phase match between EDG and SKT and the miracle teamfight combo from SKT (while being around 10K gold behind). I think it's way more impressive than a Zed 1v1 with a QSS advantage when Zed's ult could be avoided thanks to this item, even tho I understand that the zed 1v1 play is more famous to people that don't watch LoL esports.

I’m not sure people understand the context of that rocket league goal.
The 2 teams playing are Dignitas and NRG and this was in the grand final.
Dignitas came from the losers bracket final to face NRG in the final after falling to nrg in the winners semi-final.
Dignitas had to beat NRG in 2 best of 7s to be crowned champions.
They won’t the first best of 7 comfortably 4-1 resetting the bracket.
This now meant that whichever team won this 2nd best of 7 took home the championship.
It came down to the final game with 3 games each meaning the team that won this final game wins the whole event.
With 4 seconds left on the clock Turbopolsa scores to make it 3-2 to dignitas. In rocket league scoring with 4 seconds left basically means you’ve won the game unless a miracle happens, and well. That’s exactly what did happen.
NRG kept the ball in the air on 0 seconds until the ball popped out above the Dignitas net. If Jstn makes the shot the game goes to a golden goal winner takes all over time. If he doesn’t score dignitas win. Probably the highest pressure shot you could ever take not to mention the shot itself was a hard shot without the timer being on 0 and of course he makes the shot with 0 boost left in the tank and sends the game to overtime making it the most incredible moment in Rocket League history and maybe in eSports history. The moment gives me chills every time.
