Today @MrSantiZap and @mrteshk discuss which wwe factions are overrated or underrated
I feel like you should have had a rating for “Accurately rated”. Some factions are widely agreed upon regarding their value.
Yeah, this video misuses the word underrated on almost every occasions.
He really said the Bloodline was overrated...
It is@@witbio
Very true I was thinking of the same
I would love to have friends like you guyz and talk about wrestling all day
Same none of my friends watch wrestling 🥲
Same I only got 2 friends that know stuff about wrestling but even at that they don’t know the amount of stuff that I know
Having really gotten back into wrestling the past 2 years, watched as a kid in the 90s, I feel the same. None of my friends watch it either
Same
@@IronMike412same. One barely speaks english but introduced me to wwe and eventually stopped watching after corona. He couldn't like people who were better on the mic than in the ring. And the other one i had to introduce to wwe but mostly via the games.
I'm glad you corrected Steve on how he was basing his thought process!
The SHIELD is not overrated. I agree that there was more that could’ve been done by them, but I’d say they’re either perfectly rated or underrated
They’re overrated as a faction because everyone calls them the greatest faction of all time when that’s just not true were only around for about a year and a half they were incredible don’t get me wrong but they’re overrated because the individuals are more impressive than the faction itself
@@caylon14 ya. Agreed to that part. For me it wasn’t the faction itself. It was the people that made the faction amazing!
Big fan of the shield
@@caylon14they are not
@@caylon14they are not overrated
Steve seems like the type of mark guy who complains on Twitter over a booking rumor and say "gets buried" anytime anyone eats pin.
Lmao 😂
Ok
I think the Nexus could have been successful at putting at least SOME of their members over, but the Cena burying thing was not the only thing that killed them. Bryan couldn't benefit because he was fired, Wade (Who the nexus most likely was built around getting over) got injured, and the rest I don't think were supposed to get over with the Nexus, just support the ones that were and then do something else later. Although Heath definitely isn't getting his deserved credit here. He was portrayed stronger until WWE realized he was such a safe worker and crowd manipulator that he would be the guy to carry the legends. He was even the guy they entrusted with Bret Hart during house shows. He had a lot of potential
Hell yes Judgment Day are underrated! Thank you Steve & Santi. So many people still out here underrating them.
I don't like the judgment day but they are underrated in my option
@@angelo9534 how are they underrated they are in the main event and all over tv but raw still sucks
@@pleaseshutup7053 because people like to shit on the judgement day
There are not underrated two out the four have titles they are overrated as hell
Finn Balor is the one overrated, the other 3 are good
Steve's shield take was accurate tbh

"Without DX, you don't get The Attitude Era."
Golddust and Stone Cold were definitely the characters that brought us the Attitude Era, DX was second.
I'd argue that Shawn was just as much a part of it as Austin and Dustin were in '97 with his slowburn to top heel status. His antics pushed things in a more crass direction in character and in reality and that was before DX was official.
Goldust and Stone Cold were more ahead of their time, and Goldust especially took a while before he became an envelope-pushing character.
There would be no Goldust or stone cold without the kliq. Fact not opinion.
The kliq and ecw were responsible for the attitude era. Austin and goldust were right place right time. Nothin wrong with that
@@ac8274
No, Golddust did more on TV before The Kliq, they were backstage.
@@ac8274
The Kliq/DX/Whatever didn't really takeoff until Scott Hall and Nash left, Golddust was doing more risky stuff at the time.
Wait so Steve´s take on the New day is the exact opposite of his take of The Shield?
¨The shield is underrated because without it they wouldn´t be where they are today¨
¨The New Day is overrated because they wouldn¨t be what they are today without the faction¨
wat
And the brood, wtf
exactly, he's punishing them for becoming better as a collective than they would've ever been on their own, which is sort of the whole point of a faction
Ikr it don’t make sense it’s about are they underrated or overrated as a faction not individually
@@Dracodagoat4I really think it's racism dude. He rated the brood ahead of them lol
I agree with Steve honestly new day is highly overrated shield was slightly better Kofi had a better chance solo
@@joejay4646're way too quick to call someone racist my friend (as an half Libyan). He put nothing but praise onto all black groups like Hurt Business and the Nation. His New Day take is awful, but let's not start throwing such harmful accusations based on a little hypocrisy just because the victims of said hypocrisy happen to be black. That takes attention away from actual harmful racism.
A lot of these factions aren’t under or overrated . We need to add in properly rated because a lot of these factions have a jury of fans in the same grade. Evolution, DX are some examples off factions that everyone knows how good they were
I'm confused. Steve said The Shield is underrated because without it existing, the three wouldn't be superstars. And said New Day is overrated... for the same reason.
Lmaoo right
Man is a closet racist. He said Evolution is underrated.
Bro finally someone who puts in the work keep going Santi!!
I LOVE THE JUDGMENT DAY they are all fantastic!!! Thank you lads!!!
They are mid
Toxic attraction and damage control should be this list
Glad the Hurt Business is getting hinted at again!
"without the faction, these individuals wouldn't of done anything they have done, so The New Day are HEAVILY overrated". What the actual frick is that opinion lol.
I wish the Undisputed Era was still around in WWE, maybe in the main roaster
I was hoping legacy would be discussed. I’m very interested in hearing both of ur thoughts on Orton Rhodes and Dibiase and their run together
Man I hope orton attacks Cody after his match with Brock lol
I don't understand why so many people consider The Nexus overrated...
First of all, don't ignore the fact that Danyel Brian and Bray Wyat (husky harris back in 2010) were also members of it.
And cmon, they litteraly destroyd everything on their debut and caused a huge impact in raw every single week for like a whole year! Wade Barret was pretty good at the mic and as a leader as well. The feud with John and then CmPunk actually carryied Raw for some time.
In my opinion, underrated af...
They pulled a few mats up and unhooked the ropes
Not the first time some cranky lads broke a ring, and this did absolutely nothing for Bray Wyatt. Nexus was basically a strip club which was a poor version of the nWo.
i feel like when looking at factions, the criteria should only be within the time that the faction was together. i feel like steve quite literally looked at everything EXCEPT when the factions were together.
@@TrainerLanden yeah he never said anything wrong it was just that he wasn’t looking at the factions. he was looking at their members outside of the factions.
@@jacob47329then evolution is easily the greatest faction ever 😂😂😂
I agree with Steve. Randy should've/should be the one to surpass Ric because it makes a lot of sense with Evolution.
Didn’t this guy say that the shield is underrated because without it, Roman, Seth, and Mox would’ve never been at the top, but then he said that the New Day is overrated for that same exact reason
Santi in the same video: “I think Bret hart is the most overrated human being when it comes to pro wrestling”
“I love the spirit squad”
The Bret Hart disrespect will not be tolerated
The “if they ever bring bray back it has to be this” hit a little too hard 😢
There needs to be a “properly rated”
9:15 Luke Owens and Oli from Wrestletalk in my head: 'Hurt Business reunion!'
New Day overrated take is comical
Its just the hypocrisy and lack of consistency in Steve's Judgment Day and New Day takes that needs to be called out. Have we forgotten that when the New Day formed, everybody wanted them to disband right away but now they are right up there with the Usos as one of the best tag teams of recent times.
Sure, their WWE careers should be able to hold some kind of merit on their own, which Kofi's career does. A good faction is supposed to elevate its members and it has.
Seriously, when you start to overlook logic and instead use your feelings to call something "overrated" and then call Judgement Day, a faction with similar circumstances (everyone wanted them disbanded at first, just like the New Day) "underated" Don't be surprised when wrestling fans are judging you as hypocritical. This was a completely biased and hypocritical take that goes past the matter of personal opinion.
@@joejay4646I mean judgement day people also wanted to disband at first, but judgement day also just had more known talent and had edge be the reason it starts. New Day never had a Finn Balor type of wrestler in it. While Judgement Day has at least a single well known star who would be popular today without judgement day, new day doesn’t really. Like they’re fantastic together and have one of the greatest wwe tag teams and carried a good bit of wwes tag team division, but in l honesty without new day they wouldn’t be nearly as popular as they are(which was the dudes point in the first place).
@@e-o-o A lot of that is just circumstances though. When Big E won Money in the Bank, the crowd organically popped because Big E was built up to a championship level and fans wanted to see him win. Then they botched his cash in and title run.
But its because of the New Day that Kofi and Big E even had world championships, its because of the New Day that some people even want Woods to get a world title run and that is possible, and the only reason that would be possible is because of the New Day.
@@e-o-o Honestly, I think I'm starting to see it for both sides now.
This is why they needed a PROPERLY RATED option. Only for New Day.
@@joejay4646 wwe failed big e they had no plan for him as champion when they created the perfect storyline for him. Lashley ended woods and Kofi. Big e comes out on raw calls his shot at summerslam something we need from mitb instead he cashes in randomly and has a match with drew lol
The Nexus had potential to be the best thing ever… Cena’s ego and Vince’s ignorance destroyed them
I don’t think they would have lasted much longer though. There were very few who had potential, those exceptions being wade, bray, heath, potentially ryback and cm punk but he was already elevated.
The nexus was trash bro
These 2 are the only ones to have a full conversation in the middle of a show and make it the most entertaining part of it.
You should make second part of this video with The Authority
What program do you use for the editing?
I’m excited for raw tomorrow
I love this... but I think there are a few factions on this list that should just be neutral in a sense. Not under or over. This is just my opinion, though.
Love the content 👌
14:32 I always thought it should have been like Shelton Benjamin and Haas and someone like Farooq/Ron Simmons, Kanyon (always a personal favorite of mine even when he was Morris, which I think was one of the coolest outfits n masks tbh), Chuck Palumbo, Sean O’Haire (two guys I loved in WCW bk in the day tbh), to where you had the tag team you could actual;y feel good about holding the tag belts and it no be the Basham brothers, and have another big guy to help be the muscle for JBL to keep him from having to do all the heavy lifting himself and someone I think was good enough to hold one of those upper tier mid card belts as deserved a good push tbh.
What about Imperium? They're a faction too, right? It's a tag team and a faction all in one right? I wonder why Steve and Santi didn't talk about Imperium, they're a good faction tho
I would like to collab as well with you Santi and speaking abt wrestling😀😀
Well talking about Hurt Business, Bobby Lashley is cooking something for sure maybe #Hurtbusiness2.0 ?
It’s my birthday tomorrow:)
Returbtion was underrated when Ali joined and he was reveled as the hacker on smackdown that should have down something. But Vince has never been a fan of Ali and he set them up for failure. Like low-key there was a reason for each of these guys to get revenge
Mace FKA Dio Madden F5 by Lesnar and then complete replaced on commentary
Dijak Amazing matches in Nxt but was never really giving the spotlight he wanted
Mustafa Was scheduled to be pushed only for Kofi to get his push and go on to WM
I feel like the shield is underrated they had so much left but wwe made McMahon desicions not triple h desicionns
4:55 I thought he said "beating off each other" 😂😂😂😂
am i the only one that saw Santis react the same like it was prerecorded
Don't ever let Santi speak about the shield again man. This faction is what made me love wwe. Tag team championship run was amazing. Just watch the match vs the usos to understand, they were amazing during 2013-2014. Their debut match is one of my favourite matches ever. He was right about ambrose's run tho. I will say that the shield grew even better from october and onwards but before that they were good too, just not AS good as later.
He didn’t he didn’t call them bad he called them overrated which they are the most overrated faction in the business. They were brought back together twice after their initial disband, and their two times they were brought back together was an awful run. They never did anything truly special within the faction other than having some pretty good matches. Their singles career is way better than them as a faction
@@nathanielbonett2928They still are the greatest faction of all time tho just behind Nwo
The 6 man tag matches were amazing
@@nathanielbonett2928calling the second run awful is kind of unfair and in my opinion , untrue. it practically consisted of just one (really good) match against New Day at Survivor Series and then Ambrose got injured and we never got to see it go any further.
That third run however was absolutely awful. I'm still shocked that those three were capable of something that bad.
@@nathanielbonett2928 and they would have most likely never gotten here without the team. I agree their reunions were not as amazing especially 2017, but 2017 roman got injured so it kinda got weird how angle had to replace him and after that ambrose got injured. 2018's reunion, roman got leukemia. And when they went back together they had to wrap up 2018's storyline in a month to say goodbye to ambrose. The circumstances are more what ruined it. The shield had cool ass promos, and yes amazing matches, when they started working for the authority and were like a punishment to every superstar that would say something bad about the authority was good. But then triple h didn't wanna make it too obvious that he was a dictator so he threw the shield in uneven matches. Entrance was cool, attire was cool and everybody can agree that cody and goldie vs rollins and reigns was awesome. They had a great survivor series match which started the push of reigns after he lost the tag titles. This started with dean and roman clashing with seth becoming the peacemaker but we all know how legendary they become in 2014. But before that they also had an amazing feud with punk, who was their mentor. I personally also liked the attacks they did on superstars in early 2013 where they tried to hide they were working for punk. The only time shield was kinda boring was from july-august. November=their debut
december=awesome tlc match and debut of their promos
January=protecting punk
February=great elimination chamber match and split up from cm punk after being exposed
March=build-up to wrestlemania debut match which is in april so kinda unfair to rate them on that one
April=title matches
May=real start of the undefeated streak
June=their undefeated streak is ended
(Bad)July=random six-man tag matches but had a great money in the bank kickoff match that should have been on the main show
(Bad) august=summerslam kickoff match vs rvd for u.s. title ends in disqualification.
September=they start working for the authority
October=the rhodes feud
November=the push of roman reigns and the clash between the shield
December=great feud with punk
2014 and onwards should be agreed that they were amazing and otherwise you can ask me again. Sorry for making you read all this but these are few of my favourite superstars so i gotta *justify* them...get it.
There's a very big difference between a good character nd giving a good story line. A good character doesn't intend to always give a good storyline.
13:00 you can just see in zantis eyes: “who tf is Austin creed?”
I'm glad I'm not the only one that loved the original Wyatt Family. Bray Wyatt was must see TV during that run. I still want him to put the Were He're back in his entrance.
Shield is the best tag team of all times. Without the Shield, we would not have the Bloodline, the Architect, or anything like that. We wouldn't have Dean Ambrose's creative genius and nobody would have known about Jon Moxley.
The Shield elevated these three guys, it propelled them into super stardom IMMEDIATELY, which they have ALL proven was the right call all along. The Shield still has one of the best intros of all time, them coming through the crowd with that recorded "Sierra, Hotel, India, Echo, Lima, Delta. Shield." Made them seem like the greatest shit ever. It was what got me back into being a wrestling fan, I had given up after all the super Cena garbage, the destruction of the Nexus, the mega fiasco that was Sheamus kicking Daniel Bryans in the face. Them as the Shield was best as enforcers and protectors of CM Punk, their self-righteous nonsense? Perfection, it was so well crafted, they were so awful, and yet so fucking cool. They came in destroyed the place and left.
The New Day is the second best three man tag team of all time, they are baby faces, people hated them, I hated them, they had to grow on me... But the Shield? INSTANT classic, no hindsight needed.
Didn’t expect bomb-omb battlefield
One faction that is underrated is the way from nxt.
They were comedy gold
Is nxt the best wwe show today? I been thinking about watching it
Yea NXT is amazing now
@@angelo9534would you say it’s better than smackdown and raw?
@@pleaseshutup7053it depends on what you like. Raw & SD are the main shows, with all of the main storylines.
@@haywardhummus8777 raw is horrible I don’t think I’ll ever watch raw again. Smackdown got the bloodline but nothing else I don’t watch either those shows that’s why I been thinking about watching nxt do they actual have storylines. Or do they just focus on one group and legends
Ministry of darkness is a faction.I really thought that would be in this video but anyway this video shows how much character workers that wwe gives us.Those ara so good man❤️🔥
You definitely need a perfectly rated category because that's where the Shield lies tbh, same with the Bloodline, New Day, and Judgement which are great examples
The Nexus was neither under or over - rated, the Nexus wasn't a good faction.
The Nexus had a good concept, and debut, but too many people.
He really said the Bloodline are overrated....
I hope to god that bobby and hhh have something incredible brewing now
Steve's take on the New Day was pretty bad and it sounded like he was describing them as underrated. Gotta look at the factions from where they start to where they are now/where they ended. Post faction and pre-faction status ruins it simply because trash can become treasure (such as the New Day saving careers and raising the guys up the card), while some turn treasure into trash (Retribution taking great talents and making them jokes). To call any faction overrated that built ALL members up to the main event scene from lower midcard/jobber level is wild to me. That's like calling Evolution overrated because without it, Batista and Orton wouldn't have become top level talents or at least wouldn't have been elevated to that level as quickly as they were (Orton was a boring white meat babyface and Deacon Batista.... need I say more)
What I say are Factions are groups with 4 people or more than 3 people are a trio and 2 people are tag teams

Did they forget that Daniel bryan technically is part of Nexus
for about 15 minutes of screentime, yes.
The New Day have not been on TV in quite a while. Big E has been injured for over a year. Kingston last wrestled in February and Woods in May.
Barret, Slater and Gabriel all had immense potential imo
"they still have a lot of steam left in them" is not a description for an overrated faction.
Was never a fan of The Shield over rated agreed they better apart xx
I’m so happy someone else agrees that Bret is maybe the most overrated wrestler of all time. I’m sure some people will fight me about it but I’m glad a more known wrestling lover agrees
I just clicked on your channel and saw you posted 💀
about the nexus you forget about daniel brayen
I love the Nexus, I know it's an unpopular opinion, but it is my favorite faction (mostly due to nostalgia), but a lot of what I like about it revolves around the pre-SummerSlam part of it. They were great in the beginning, but keep in mind, losing in SummerSlam wasn't the ONLY thing that buried the Nexus. It got soggy the moment Daniel Bryan got fired, effectively ruining the point of them being rebellious heels, and then them losing to Cena at SummerSlam, and then Cena continuously beating them in almost every single payperview, and the fact it was basically throwing random NXT guys and Mason Ryan into it. I think the original 7-8 (whether or not you want to count Daniel Bryan) was fine, but they did not capitalize on it almost at all. Also the faction did not fit some of them. I'm sorry, but Justin Gabriel can not be a understandable heel. He's a young highflyer who always would smile, and not even a cocky smile or anything. It's like turning Evan Bourne or Rey Mysterio heel. Same with Darren Young at the time due to his gimmick of being a South Beach Party Boy and Skip Sheffield cause he was meant to be the country comedy character. If it felt more like a cult-like faction with Wade as their leader who they bowed down to would be much better for the group overall
Everything can't be overrated or underrated. There is also propery rated. The Judgment day is properly rated.
What about Legacy and the Authority
I wish to see the hot take on the brawling brutes

Imo evolution is easily the goat. Hhh, flair, orton and Batista ?? Good tf luck
I am glad that Im not the only one. the OC imo is one of THE top tag teams in all of wrestling.

Judgement day is good but dom dom is horrible
Damage CTRL most underrated
What about that faction with Seth Rollins buddy Murphy and those other two guys
How can a faction that is universally hated, be overrated
Woods never gets the respect he deserves and it drives me crazy.
I don't think you guys know what underrated and overrated mean. You seem to think it just means do i like them or not. You have to look at where they are generally rated by most people and then do you think they deserve to be higher or lower than that. There is no current wwe faction rated higher than judgment Day, so judgment Day cannot possible be considered underrated. Where else could they go? They can only be appropriately rated or overrated.
Thanks Mr Santi Zap
Idk how evolution is underrated. I think all WWE rams give them respect so they should be properly rated

And I see commenters saying Steve is racist. As a black man I won’t do that because he hadn’t shown us that. I don’t believe he’s racist. But I think that was a beyond stupid take. Bray Wyatt who was Husky Harris went ok too. Curtis Axel was Michael Migillicutty in Nexus but he didn't go massive but the rest were garbage.
