- It's Track Night In America, and our ND is ready to kick names and take ass
If you're not familiar, the STR setup on our ND Miata is running an HKS exhaust, Hooker header, Karcepts sway bars, Feal 441 coilovers from Goodwin Racing, a Flyin' Miata Little Big Brake Kit, and a few more beans from a Versatuner crackle map.

Just bought a hoodie 👍been STR prepping my ND2 club over the last few months and seeing videos like this hype me up for whats to come! Keep it up man
I hope watching has helped you push the “buy it now” button on a few race car parts. ❤
Thanks man!
STR is a great class, we had a lot of fun taking it home this season. There's a few more things we can do next year to push it a little more, and maybe have a chance at being competitive at nationals, and we'd love to see you there!
Enjoying the content from northwestern ontario - nice to see a miata get some love in the winter up here!
It's almost winter rally season, our first rallycross is Decmber 8th and if the Supra's not ready, guess what's gonna be running that day
I had no idea you could take the RF to Road Atlanta without a rollbar, that's so awesome! Add that to my list of dream track nights. Nice laps
Track Night in America has their own specific ruleset that doesnt require rollbars for anything 2006-up if i recall correctly, but you definitely want to check the fine print for every event and venue
Keep up the great content!
It was made with love 💜
Great racing/lap time improvements and some amazing vid editing you put together for us.
So are you gonna add brake duct….this is at least twice that I can recall with brake temperatures?
It's on the shopping list, but the Supra is getting all the attention right now. We'll try to have that done by start of next season
“He edits it out”
“Fuuuuck”
😂
Got eeeem
I've been on the fence about getting that exact brake kit. I don't track mine, just a lot of very spirited mountain road driving. Thoughts? My MX-5 is a 2021 GT (no Brembos)
Mine was a brembo-less GT as well, and for anything short of 20-minute laps, this kit is an excellent upgrade. They bite so much more predictably in street and autox use, the braided lines make the feedback perfectly tactile, and they don't produce much more noise or dust than stock did. We have a video a while back installing it and giving first impressions, and 6 months later it still stands. 100% worth it if you care about the "feel" that these cars are designed to provide.
It's awesome seeing these cars used for their intended purpose. Did you drive it all the way from MN to Georgia or trailer it? I love these cars, but wish they had a little more interior room.
We trailer to anything more than like three hours out now since we have the baby, and especially on this one since it was a family road trip. Hoping to move permanently back down to GA some time next year, all our family is between there and TN. So there will be lots more events down that way soon!
No better feeling than chasing down higher horsepower cars
My favorite is still the ZL1 at brainerd
I guess I'll have to do a track day after i put FeRoDo PaDs on the Sonett for $ OnE bIlLiOn DoLlArS (UsD)
What axles are you gonna be running with the LS swap?
them damn bimmer bois lol
He didn't even use his signals, as is tradition
I wouldn’t have been as nice as you were to the Bimmer driver. I would’ve played the Uno reverse card and been in his ASS! Great content; subbed!
It's an all-ages, all-skill-levels event. It'd be a little pompous to get too worked up about someone being "in your way" especially when I chose to run in the Novice group to learn the track myself. All that matters is that we've got more people out enjoying a track, we gotta keep this shit accessible or else the housing developments will win
Next event is at Road America next month, maybe I'll pull the trigger on some brake cooling by then
@@redhenracing2 you’re right and I’m a bit harsh. I actually didn’t realize you ran novice! That makes a lot of sense now.
I share the same sentiment about tracks getting shut down and limiting access more than it already has been. It’s tough to be a driving enthusiast.
@@VictorPitstop they(the lizard people) certainly aren't making it easier on us. At least we're somewhere without emissions and inspections, the Supra would never see the light of day otherwise. California would send it straight to car jail.
@@redhenracing2 it’s funny you mention ‘They’ because I’m sitting here eating ramen and watching conspiracy videos.
I blame companies building neighborhoods next to race tracks just for people to move in next door and complain that they bought a house next to a racetrack. Lmao
Being in Texas, I don’t need to worry much about emissions (yet), plus my little ND2 doesn’t put out too much (yet).
Hey what tires are you running?
These are 245 RE71RS, very happy with them but may switch to Yokos next autox season
@@redhenracing2 nice that’s what I am thinking of getting but in 225 since I’m on an 8” wide wheel.
@@matthewmiller8105 it depends on what you're trying to be competitive at, for autox all the top runners are definitely pushing 245s but at a road course the 225 will have less of a disadvantage. The weight and rolling resistance savings will be faster on the high-speed sections, balancing out the cornering speed handicap.
@@redhenracing2 yeah I’m just doing road course track days for fun but want to upgrade to 200tw tires for a bit more cornering speed. Interestingly I ran the stock non Brembo brakes with racing fluid and HP+ pads on 4 track days this summer and fall and they did really well. The tracks around here don’t seem to be that hard on brakes unlike someplace like road Atlanta though!
@@matthewmiller8105 I also wasn't being easy on them 🤷
Some ducting, fresh Motul RBF, and a change of pads, she'll be alright next event
U can't make me subscribe
i bet it can't
Go drive your corvair
Oh . . .
@@redhenracing2 right there with your supra, hoss
@@SealedBeamRallyTeam medium oof
love your content brother. nd2 owner myself -- you are inspiring me to get mine track ready. keep up the great work
Thanks man, we have a lot of work to do before this next season starts up
What do you have planned for yours?
@@redhenracing2 mine is an infant right now nowhere near ready for anything. ive got cobalt axleback, fab9 versatune stage 1 from bryan, drop in filter, jbr sways front and rear -- alot of stuff to do to get it track ready. learning from your install videos and race videos that ill need brakes, wheel and tires, and then some. cant wait to see what else is up for your nd
@@homersimpson9182 tire choice is a big one, if you go as aggressive as we did you'll have fender liner issues.
I think the biggest thing we need to prep for this season is brake ducting, we've got a lot of good Track Night in America events on the calendar, and I'd like to be more successful at that this year
