Prior to my new 8" alpha+, I had a eskimo rocket. The rocket was fast but this new alpha is slightly faster plus lighter, quieter and no gas stinking clothes afterwards.
I got the same auger! Agree with everything you said!! I returned the new SM 40V lite because it cut out at the bottom of the hole 50% of the time. Glad i went with the Alpha!! Best on the market
Also, if i did the google math right, 75 holes at about 1256 cubic inch per hole, is 94,200 cubic in of ice, or about 54 cubic feet. 2 cubic yards. not bad for one battery.
After further review of the video I actually drilled 85 holes which would be 1360" of ice. Thanks for watching.
I doubt if I drill 75 a season. I have this auger and love it. It would’ve drilled more, but you did dry run it for a while
That’s a sweet auger! It’d be awesome to have a 10 inch auger for sturgeon on the Croix

I was told it was good. But turned out being even better than I expected!
I have the 8” and have to say it is impressive!
would of been handy last weekend when i spent a hr and a half getting a 58 up and through a 8 inch hole on lake pepin on 6lb test lol 😂
