I also really like these videos where you're just rambling around and telling stuff.. and it's noticeable you like making them, too. Thanks for your positive vibes, Sam 😊👍🏻
You don't half come up with some great ideas for videos Sam 😁👍 While you were in Edinburgh, you could have gone to the zoo and ticked off a few more. Lions for Livie, Rangers, Aidrie, e.t.c of course, and I know they don't keep elephants any more, but they do have an elephant statue near the entrance, which would have done for Dumbarton.
The Aberdeen badge isn't a goal at an angle. It's a goal from the side with the old fashioned stanchion. All us old people remember them and suddenly feel ancient
The name Boyd coat of arms motto Confidemus is the same motto for Kilmarnock badge. Quite interesting giving Kris Boyd's link with Killie. Loved the video 👍
4:13 this is incredibly relatable, when walking through city centres I always look out for football club/ultra stickers, and then my pals always ask me why I seem so interested in Lampposts all the time
Love the Scottish content Sam. I live in Toronto Canada, my family is from the Inverness area. Celtic supporter since birth 🍀⚽️🍀 but I love all the lower clubs considering how much EPL we get here! Keep it up ✌🏼
Lol. Could of perhaps gone to Edinburgh Zoo ticked off a few there. but where is he going to find a Kestrel for the other part of the Saint Johnstone club crest lol.
There's a Clarsach (wee harp) in the museum of Scotland. Sure you could have got a deer but apart from that I really enjoyed it. Loving the old style videos coming back
My favourite is Annan Athletic as I travel from my home in Blackpool to watch as many home matches wearing my Blackpool colours round trip of around 240 miles.
At the bottom of the Airdrie badge is what looks like a single stripe, which is the rank badge of a Lance Corporal in the British Army...you could have popped into a barracks in the Edinburgh area, or maybe even the castle, and asked if you could meet one...alternatively an old army uniform in a museum somewhere.
Sam, this is my favourite kind of video! I can tell you're enjoying it while you're filming it, and that makes it even more fun to watch. Plus it means I get to see lots of different places and learn random facts about the teams - and random unrelated facts like about squirrels liking hazelnuts! I am with you on stopping at every lamppost to look at the football stickers, sometimes there are cool unusual ones :)
Really liked this video Sam. Like the viewer you mentioned, I'm in the US and enjoy the local tours you take us on. There was a harp on a flag in St. Giles; and i dont think the ship in Leith should count for any of those badges: should be a sail masted ship, not a flag mast. My favorite badge design is Hearts but Killie is my club. Cheers from Connecticut!
You re one of the best Football guys on the go, in fact you are the best, well done you cover Everybody high and low. From a Celtic Fan HH and keep on going.
Its a Cockerell at the top of the airdrie badge. Its the symbol of the town of airdrie. Should have visited the zoo hand ticked off lions also on airdrie badge and a few more like the Scotland badge
I was extremely disappointed when the Ayr United picked a new version of the club crest they should have gone for one of the concepts with Rabbie Burns instead what we got as basically the same as the old one in terms of elements just a change of shape from a shield to a circle it was a chance to create a more distinctive club crest & what we ended up with was nothing spectacular Ayr United & East Fife must have two of the worst club crests in the history of Scottish football. we all know we live in Scotland. We dont need to see the saltire on our club crest to know that it's extremely pointless.
Another good video by you, Sam. You do a lot of good for grassroots football and the smaller teams so I hope you are appreciated by those in the game. This comes from Boro supporter from North Yorkshire whose "Scottish team" is Ross County. I have camped at the campsite literally next to the Vic several times. I will be briefly in Dingwall in 2 days time as U always stop off for a pitstop at Tesco in Dingwall on my way up to Ullapool and my way back down to Yorkshire. 400 miles, the trip! The Staggies are currently the besy in the world for last-gasp goals for (but maybe more often, against!). 90+7, 90+8. Basically the final whistle will nir be blown until the opposition has scored. But Ross County is as well run ckub as you coukd imagine. Come on, you Staggies!
Painted the stripped out FINGAL before it became the hotel, was a Dazzle ship recreation and was some job! Painting on a raft with no barrier 😂 this was 2016! Right before Hibs won the scottish cup 💚 and yes, i did paint a wee 'Hibs for the cup 2016' on the side of the ship before covering! I still have the photos 😊 GGTTH 💚
Edinburgh is my home town and back in the day there where many reasons for not standing on the Heart of Midlothian, as you say it was were the old gaol was and to walk on it was bad luck, you spat on it for two reasons, one was to show contempt for authority and the other was to stop any evil spirits entering your body as it was believed those that were executed there could possess you but evil spirits couldn’t cross running water, therefore technically if you spit you’ll be safe
I am a Scottish Glens fan I think Loughgall has an interesting club crest. Last time we were over in April, we went to watch The Glens play Larne. Both my Gramps family's where originally from Belfast & My Mum's Mum was born in Castlederg way out in the countryside. When I first saw The Oval from Victoria Park I thought that is what football was meant to be not what The Premier League in England has turned in to that's proper football the woman I was dating at the time was surprised I knew it was The Oval home of Glentoran, I had seen only pictures of it before.
Idea for a video: Have you ever noticed that there are no SPFL teams on the West side of Scotland once you get past the Central Belt, whereas there are many teams up the East coast of Scotland. After Dumbarton there's no one, whereas the East has Raith, Arbroath, Montrose, Cove, Aberdeen. ICT, Ross County etc. Why is that?
Which football badge is your favourite?
celtic
am not an edingbugh city fan i like there badge from an ict fan
Clyde. Not a Clyde fan btw
Dumbarton FC 🐘 I love elephants..
The bully wee Clyde 🖤🤍❤️
I also really like these videos where you're just rambling around and telling stuff.. and it's noticeable you like making them, too. Thanks for your positive vibes, Sam 😊👍🏻
Yeah, this is 100 times better than watching random people tell their score predictions.
It's amazing to know where teams get their badges from in Scotland and what the badges symbols are
You don't half come up with some great ideas for videos Sam 😁👍

Should have went to the Safari Park near Stirling, and you could have ticked off the elephant in the Dumbarton badge!!
He could have went to the actual castle on the badge in Dumbarton
The Aberdeen badge isn't a goal at an angle. It's a goal from the side with the old fashioned stanchion. All us old people remember them and suddenly feel ancient
The name Boyd coat of arms motto Confidemus is the same motto for Kilmarnock badge. Quite interesting giving Kris Boyd's link with Killie. Loved the video 👍
what a video my friend, from a partick thistle supporter 🙌
Great video. Good for linking history to the modern day. We can learn something from videos like this. The world is your oyster!
4:13 this is incredibly relatable, when walking through city centres I always look out for football club/ultra stickers, and then my pals always ask me why I seem so interested in Lampposts all the time

Umm…Scottish accent?
@@tobagostreetpolicestationc561
Hell no, I wish🤣 I have to be drunk to understand my aunt!!! lol 😂
As a Scottish German, I can read what that Bochum sticker said. "Always on Coke", with an aggressive looking chap. Interesting.
I love the creativity and randomness of this video 🤣 Love from Friesland ❣
🤣🤣🤣 nice one Sam. Good luck with Dumbarton 😮
Lol.
Could of perhaps gone to
Edinburgh Zoo ticked off a few there.
but where is he going to find a Kestrel for the other part of the
Saint Johnstone club crest lol.
Great video! Love the history behind such great badges. Scotland is such a beautiful place
I first started watching you for these style videos, seeing you link football into travelling. More would be great!
this video is brilliant! the mighty perth st johnstone have a scotland flag (all be it a small one) too. big up sam, keep up the great work! 💙💙💙
There's a Clarsach (wee harp) in the museum of Scotland. Sure you could have got a deer but apart from that I really enjoyed it. Loving the old style videos coming back
Great video, reminiscent of your covid trips, good luck finding a spartan!
My favourite is Annan Athletic as I travel from my home in Blackpool to watch as many home matches wearing my Blackpool colours round trip of around 240 miles.
Love the squirrels. Beyond those rascals, it was fun to see all the pieces come together from all the badges. Great piece of work.
🐿🐿🐿
At the bottom of the Airdrie badge is what looks like a single stripe, which is the rank badge of a Lance Corporal in the British Army...you could have popped into a barracks in the Edinburgh area, or maybe even the castle, and asked if you could meet one...alternatively an old army uniform in a museum somewhere.
Next video: Sam climbs to the top of Ben Nevis to look at the hut which resembles the dressing room at Forres Mechanics home grounds.

*4:30* video idea: first sticker you come across you go and watch that team play
Excellent video man what a fun idea!
Scotland really has some striking badges. Some like Motherwell really tell a story.
Finding a Golden Eagle, representing Caledonian FC on the Inverness Caledonian Thistle badge was always going to be tricky.
That was a fun video. A good and interesting format. I definitely say do more of these
fantastic video
Really liked this video Sam. Like the viewer you mentioned, I'm in the US and enjoy the local tours you take us on.

Love this random stuff, much more interesting than old firm stuff. I say that's my inner need!
You could've had a extra point with the saltire, the cross on the hearts badge is blue and white and is supposed to represent our Scottish history. ❤
Hi Sam love your vlogs. Missed the mighty Raith.
You re one of the best Football guys on the go, in fact you are the best, well done you cover Everybody high and low. From a Celtic Fan HH and keep on going.
Absolutely love these types of videos!! Great stuff Sam!! 👍
Thanks!! More to come 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Good vídeo!!
Do you in Scotland?
Saludos desde Madrid 🇪🇦
Its a Cockerell at the top of the airdrie badge. Its the symbol of the town of airdrie. Should have visited the zoo hand ticked off lions also on airdrie badge and a few more like the Scotland badge
Isn’t the Cockerel on the French badge too ?
Love the video. But surely East Fife can have something more unique that a saltire with a yellow ball as a badge? Anything related to the town etc
I was extremely disappointed when the

Love the video, Sam! Fun one. Mon Hibs!
Great Video Sam I Am Callum From Dunfermline 🤣👍🏻⚽️
I enjoyed this video and think everyone else finds it interesting given people suggesting ideas
Good left field video.
Great fun sam.
Love these kinds of videos!!!
U missed the harp on a flag un the cathedral
Great video, love the subtle glitch in the matrix edit too.
Squirrel's are so cute in Kilmarnock Sam 👍
Appreciate everything you dofor Scottish football mate 👍
Another good video by you, Sam.

There is a Scotland flag on the Hearts badge
Brilliant mate 😊
You may have seen Wasps (Alloa Athletic)Spiders (Queen Park) and surely a sign of a Shamrock in an Irish pub on your travels.
Shamrock? Not for Celtic I hope - their badge has a four leaf clover.
Thank you from Rotterdam - The Netherlands.
Sam that was a great video was so interesting.
Great video. Favourite badge, Elgin. Worst, Montrose.
You’re gunna hate me about the harp, Guinness!!!
My favourite badge is Dunfermline as it’s a triangle and has so many colours on it
we feed the squirrels there all the time.
I still have the photos 😊 GGTTH 💚
this was such a genius video idea
3.03 there's a harp top left on the flag

Still not sure about the Raith Rovers badge?
It’s been seen on trains I believe?
10:28 You're in my front garden!
Elgin, st giles, great work.
You do know when you were on the Royal Mile there was a music shop where you could've seen a harp
Fantastic idea❤
I seen my local team Stirling Albion on the thumbnail and for that reason alone you have a new sub in me.
Sevco's badge is an interesting one, there's an intricate mix of angles on the bawbag spectrum.
😂😂 True
The heart of Midlothian is also a love story I believe that takes place there.
Original video, nice one
are they angels? 🤣
I'd love for you to do this in Northern Ireland
I am a Scottish Glens fan
I think Loughgall has an interesting club crest.
Last time we were over in April, we went to watch
The Glens play Larne.
Both my Gramps family's where originally from
Belfast & My Mum's Mum
was born in Castlederg
way out in the countryside.
When I first saw
The Oval from
Victoria Park
I thought that is what football was meant to be
not what
The Premier League
in England has turned in to that's proper football
the woman I was dating at the time was surprised
I knew it was
The Oval home of
Glentoran, I had seen only pictures of it before.
Really good video, unique idea well executed 👏
Great video
That is not a sailing boat -4 😂😂😂
I like that Hearts logo
Where Peterhead's old Recreation Ground was is now a Morrison's. Finding the fish in there was meant to be 😆
The shopping centre in Elgin is also called " St Giles Shopping Centre"
That was great Sam, shame on the football 😢though
Need to get another Kelty hearts video done soon sam 🇱🇻
Could have got a Guinness for the harp
Didnt expect to see you poking around the back of my flat by Leith docks when I put this one😅
you going to the cup games this weekend
Disappointed you didn't find a unicorn, Sam. They're around here somewhere.
Lol 😅
You'd get lions and elephants at Blair Drummond Safari Park not far from Stirling...
It never occurred to me it was squirrels on the Kilmarnock badge for some reason 😂
Was wondering where you would find a lion for the Raith Rovers logo, turns out you didn't!
Missed a few teams like celtic st mirren and a few others
That would have been funny if you did it for Loch Ness FC! 😅 But I think they folded up 😔
Idea for a video: Have you ever noticed that there are no SPFL teams on the West side of Scotland once you get past the Central Belt, whereas there are many teams up the East coast of Scotland. After Dumbarton there's no one, whereas the East has Raith, Arbroath, Montrose, Cove, Aberdeen. ICT, Ross County etc. Why is that?
What you going to do for Dundee? My team
Any pub, Harp Lager!
You defo need to do the Elgin City badge "sic itur ad astra"
Favourite badge for me sam has to be spartans
Top
Do you collect pin badges when you visit clubs?
Perhaps Sam do a similar vid for random teams in England,Wales and Northern Ireland...if you can ever find the time!
Visit Blair Drummond Safari Park for the 🦁
my favourite badge is Troon FC
Arbroath's badge is a portcullis you could have probably found that at Edinburgh or Stirling castle
