Thanks for the suggestion! I'll look into doing a review on the CAT suppressor in the future. I'm currently just trying it out on a bunch of different setups and getting a good number of rounds through it.
Im really suprised by how well the Smith and AAC performed and I thought the linear compensaters would have done better than the than the muzzle break. I was trying to decide what I want for my 18" X95 and I think im gonna go for the AAC. Awesome vid man thanks!
Glad you liked the video! I was surprised too as I was expecting the muzzle brake to have the worst muzzle flash prior to doing this test. The AAC is an excellent flash hider imo and if I wasn't running a suppressor I'd probably use that one all the time.
Thank you! That's a good point regarding muzzle flash with different cartridges as well. I haven't done any testing with that myself, so for this video I just used all M855 for consistency between the different muzzle devices.
I haven't shot enough traditional baffle suppressors to draw a comparison to those, but between the two I tested - although the Sig Sauer suppressor is a .30 caliber flow through it actually has way worse gas to the face than the CAT 5.56 suppressor (also flow through).
@@Feldmutze interesting. I have a socom 3 and it definitely has less gas to face than my socom 2. Honestly though, I find a decent gas buster charging handle is sufficient with most of my guns. I am excited to try my socom 3 on my x95 though since it isn’t really suppressor friendly
You should totally consider doing the 10 inch titanium flash for da TH-cams! Maybe just a short at night. Forget a flashlight, That would be dazzling to say the least. 😅
I'll look into doing that. Usually I avoid doing Shorts as they attract some weird people but the flash with the titanium suppressor is pretty amusing so I might do that as a one-off.
Would love to see a vid on the CAT WB 718!

Great review! Also cartridge selection can cause muzzle flash due to powder used in cartridge case.

A flow through titanium suppressor may be the worst of all worlds.
Yeah I wasnt expecting the sig sauer to spark that much. I think the gas from the flow through is pretty minimal though.

@@FeldmutzeCAT seems to have some serious technological advantage to their design.

@@Feldmutzethanks dude! It would be cool to see a camera angle from down range facing you.
