The Maxx is a lot more than 550 setup right, and I suspect the same goes for the Kaiju. I have about 1k in mine, setup the way I like, no BT either. Awesome truck, but expensive. The way it is. The best upgrade now is for me to buy Kaiju!!!
How are those duratracs truggy tires on pavement, do they wear down quickly or not? I'm looking to pick up a set, and will be driving my truck 50% On Pavement. Thanks
Where did you get that the 4s line of Arrma was discontinued? Have not seen anything like that. They are all on backorder but I still see them in my stores locally.

Good stuff, I am impressed by the Kaiju value for dollar. Parts are cheaper too. I've had two generations of MAXX, the original nitro 1.5 and later the nitro 3.3 which was a beast in it's day. I am thinking I will get a Kaiju and convert my existing MAXX to electric (downside is that the MAXX is freakin heavy with it's aluminum alloy chassis, upside is I have RPM arms, upgraded shocks and titanium shafts.

Kaiju I believe has speed and that’s all over the maxx.. I have both and the kaiju has braking ssues, keeps rolling when I try to dead stop it.. doesn’t stop on the dime like the maxx
Remember Maxx has wide kit so it makes it really unfair as redcat just has change in tires.. especially when I do other test Maxx will run better then box stock...
@@jaycevessier7554 yes the wide kit does helps the maxx out...alot! It is more stable as it's doing this straight kind of speed runs. Plus it's going to help it when it runs off road as well. The tires I put on the Redcat are actually SMALLER than the stock tires. So in essence it was slower than it could have been if I had used stock tires... just these don't give you as much grip as the stock tires do.
It would turn left on its own. Had to get a replacement receiver. ESC was bad. Had to wait two weeks to receive from Traxxas. Friend also bought one from a different store and same problem with ESC. Some people might not realize they have a bad ESC if its their first car. I own a Revo 2.0. I've read they are having lots of problems with bad ESC. I highly recommend waiting for the next gen Maxx if you really want one.

They are good but since pin spike will wear quickly.

the Maxx is plastic not metal
I guess I would expect the kieju to be faster if you're running 6s, I assumed you were running them both with 4s to make it equal...

I think it's impressive that the Traxxas Maxx it's only running on 4S and the Redcat is on 6s and it's only leading by a couple miles per hour

Hey how do you adjust your brakes so the car won’t flip over at high speeds
With traxxas link module the brakes can be adjusted with the traxxas link app on your phone.

Not a fair comparison. Running different tires. Switch tires with stock gearing and let’s compare. But great video as well

Maxx is junk.. i have one and its the worst rc I have ever bought.
