hello Gina, I saw another cook try this strategy to stop onions from making her cry. put a wet paper towel on your cutting board as you cut them. The TH-camr stated that the onion has a compound in it that is looking for a water source which would be your eyes. try it out. I hope this helps. thanks for sharing your recipe.

The flavor enhancer Accent, is monosodium glutamate (msg) for those who are sensitive or allergic.
Sadly it is a definite no for me. I have epilepsy and msg definitely triggers a seizure for me. I think it should be banned.

gina put a wet paper towel down beside your onion and the oil from the onion will go to the paper towel and not to your eyes. It really works.
