Maggie! My vote is… do mystery packs for sale. Also, giveaways are good too! I love what you include with your dangle thank you gifts! I cherish them! ❤
I just love those. My idea for your 10,000 give away is ask everyone what they like making in mass make. Congrats! Glad to be part of the group. I'm in colorado.
I would love a craft space tour. Or, you could start an organize with me series. Congratulations on 10,000 stubbies. I have been binge watching your videos. I love this grungy project. 🤗 You are doing a great job with your videos.
Hi Maggie! You're so resourceful! You can use a small piece of tape to get that second layer off the napkin. You can also use matte clear gesso to de-shine those chipboard elements. But you rocked it and I'm definitely going to try this grungy goodness! I'm sorry you were under the weather but I'm glad you're feeling well now. Ps. Your masterboard goes out on Monday! :)
Hi Velvet. Yeah, someone mentioned the tape thing. I’ll try that next time. I thought about using my matte clear gesso but came up with this instead. I really wanted grunge and this worked pretty well. I like the way they turned out. I wanted to send out a new masterboard to you but have been so crazy busy, then we all got sick. It was a whole thing. I’ll be sending one out Monday too. We’ll see which I decide to send. Thanks Vel for stopping by.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. I have such a gallery of REAL ancestors that I want to use! Have had COVID since the 18th and am so grateful that I get to enjoy your talent!
This is a genius idea and I love how the wrinkles on the photos give the appearance that the photos have cracked. It makes them look authentic. Everyone loves a give-a-way!
Love, love, love these!! You are by far my favorite crafter, no...artist! And that's what you are, an artist. To celebrate your 10k, I think you should do a giveaway with a goodie box. Maybe with a sampling of the wonderful things you have made. Keep doing what you're doing, Maggie. You're the best! Much love from North Carolina!
Hi Renee, thank you so much for your kind words. You are so sweet. I’m so happy you are enjoying my projects. I’m having a lot of fun. Also, thanks for the suggestion. I’ll be putting up a poll soon. Thanks so much for watching
Love Tim Holtz ephemera. These are awesome. I can envision using pictures from magazines for these also. I've seen crafters use paper towels to line the inside of their handmade boxes. The plain layers of napkins would be useful for that, too. I also love the torn edge and the darker edge. It's perfect.
Thanks Pam. It’s amazing what a piece of napkin, collage medium and distress oxide can do, right? I love the way they turned out. So glad you enjoyed it too. Thanks so much for watching
Those are really cute. They remind me of documents that survived a fire. The new Tim Holtz Distress color Scorched Timber would be really cool as an alternative to Ground Espresso. The storyteller in me imagines finding them in an old box. Hmmm … do I feel a novel coming on? Fun stuff! ❤📚
Maggie, I don’t know how you come up with these ideas, but I’m sure glad you do. 😊. I have this same ephemera set but I didn’t have a clue what to do with them- now I do, thanks to you. Another great video.
Hi Evelyn, so glad I was able to share something new. One idea just rolls onto another and another and it morphed into this. Lol So happy you liked it. Thanks so much for watching
Maggie, you are truly an original! I love how you layer things. I love the stamping you do. Your stuff is just great. Congratulations on coming up on 10,000 subscribers. That is awesome and so well deserved. I hope your channel continues to grow by leaps and bounds. 💜
Hi Barbara, thank you so much for always being so kind and supportive. I am really excited about the milestone coming up. Can’t believe it’s happening so quickly. Thanks again for always watching
I came upon your channel a few days ago and have watched video after video…. I have learned so much about paper crafting! Thank you so much for sharing all you do. Thanks to you I have spent way too much on supplies but I love it! 😁Blessings 🥰
Hi, I’ve been watching you for a couple months and love your work. I love the grungy look. I moved and had to get rid of most of my craft supplies and not crafting right now and miss it tremendously. My place is very small. Watching you makes me want to start again but have to replace a lot of things. I live in Canada and it’s much more expensive here for supplies which I don’t understand why. Just wanted to say how much I enjoy your work and to say thank you… JoAnn💕
Hi JoAnn, I hope you’re able to start crafting again soon. I can imagine how much you miss it. Wishing you lots of luck reestablishing your supplies so you can craft along with me. Thanks so much for watching and so happy you are enjoying my content. :) Maggie
Hi Dianne, great minds think alike. I’ve hung on to these long enough. It was time to figure something out. So happy you liked it. Thanks so much for watching
First time I have watched you. You are wonderful. I never liked the shine on the cards. I have so many. Now I know what I am doing today. I will be going through you other videos. Your voice is so calm, and you teach so well. 10k how wonderful that is for you. Would love to see or do what ever you offer. I have only been doing this for a few months and still learning.
Hi Deb, welcome to my channel. So glad you enjoyed this project. I would love to have you stick around so we can craft and learn together. Thanks for watching.
Hi Maggie. So happy your feeling better♥️ Continue to care for yourself. I love these a lot! So cool to see how you use all of your peices! I need to use my Tim Holtz things! I Love your creations and watching you as always 🩵🩵🩵
I love these so much, Maggie. I agree there is no such thing as too much grunge. I like your ideas of either a crafty space tour or a Q&A to celebrate 10K. What a tremendous accomplishment! Congrats.
Hi Katie! So glad you agree with me. I love me some grunge! Lol Thanks for your suggestions. I’m taking notes and see what everyone is wanting to do for the 10K celebration. So exciting. Thanks for always watching Katie
CONGRATULATIONS!! Happy for you.. you’re so enjoyable to watch & wonderfully creative. 🤓 & those turned out fantastic.. love using tissue/napkins as a layering effect, it’s a really good look.. another great project!
You always blow my mind on the fun ideals you come up with. I would love a goody bag. Glad you are feeling better. My Oldest sister n husband r recupying from rsv
Hi Joan, thank you so much! So happy you are enjoying my projects. Thanks for your suggestion. I’m keeping notes. My neighbor had RSV, it’s no joke. Wishing your family the best
I have been listening to you half the day. Your voice is so soothing. I've been organizing my new craft supplies. Love your videos. So glad I found you.
Just perfect timing as i had just purged my gloss Tim Holtz ephemera in the donate box to go later this week. I really didnt like the sheen and didnt know how to change it. With your great idea I am going to alter what i have and turn it into something interesting. It wont be as good as yours but I keep aspiring to get there someday thanks
Hi friend! Love these. What a good way to use the inside napkins! Would not think to do that 😊 Ooh I think that you should do a live and a craft tour, that would be so fun or a giveaway🎉.. Congrats you are growing just like I thought you would!!😊❤
Hi Friend! I really liked the way these came out. So much fun. And thanks for the suggestions. I’ll be posting a poll soon. So exciting! Thanks Friend for everything!
I love grunge. I have these same cards and I have never used them in anything because they are so shinny. I love the look of these. I also have a bunch of images I cut out of an old art book, and I love them, but they are also shiny, I just look at them and put them back. I am going to do this to them and see how it works. Thank you for the video.
I know what you mean. That’s what I was doing with these cards. They were just stuck in a drawer. I’m so glad this technique was helpful. Have fun crafting! Thanks for watching
I’ve been following your channel since before you had even 1,000 subscribers. Maybe for your 10,000 celebration you could make a project like in a regular video or even a live and then give it away to one of your subscribers. I think that would be cool, but anything you come up with would also be very cool. Congratulations!❤😊💕
Hi Sue loved the project, great ideas. Tip - if you run around the edge of the napkins or tissue with a wet paintbrush the edges feather off easily. Crafty hugs Jacqui 😺😺
Hi Jacqui, thanks for the tip. I was going to use my wet brush but I wanted to quickly grunge the edges and I would’ve had to wait for it to try. So for the sake of time I did it the hard way. Lol :) But I appreciate the tip all the same. Thanks for watching Jacqui!! :) Crafty Hugs!!
These are so cool Maggie! If I’ve said it once I’ll say it again and again…you are so creative!! Btw…just a tip for tearing the napkin/tissue I recently learned - use a water pen. Makes the tearing so easy! Oh and congrats on coming up to 10,000 subscribers! You’ll be there in no time…and beyond 😊
Hi Karen, you are so sweet. I’ll have to try my water pen next time. I’ll just have to wait to let it dry before distressing the edges. Perfect for mass making though. Thanks for the tip Karen, and thanks for always watching!
You ask about what to do to celebrate... I would love it if I could win a small sampling of your ephemera! You make such diverse stuff a sample of one of each would be awesome!
These came out absolutely gorgeous, love all your ideas. I’m your neighbor from the south, TampaBay and you’re right about our weather. Last week we were all wearing boots this week sandals 😂 Thank you again for all your inspiration, have a lot of Tim Holtz items and never know what to do with them 👍
Hi Neighbor! :) Thank you so much for watching. Happy to hear you are enjoying my content. Crazy weather right? That’s why everyone is always getting sick! Lol
Hi Karen, I wanted to use up my glossy ephemera somehow. So I was thinking of ways to matte them and then came this idea. Thanks for always watching Karen! It’s always a pleasure to hear from you
I am so excited about this because I have a few of those glossy ephemera things that I never know what to do with because I don't like the gloss on them. This is a genius idea thank you so much. Blessings and hugs from New Mexico
Hi Judie, I agree. Those glossy ephemera pieces are a little tricky to use. So glad you enjoyed this project. Thanks so much for watching. Sending blessings and hugs back to New Mexico! :)
Hi Cheryl, welcome to my channel. So happy to know you enjoyed this project. It was so much fun to make as you can tell, I couldn’t stop. I’m still making them. Lol Thanks so much for watching
Love this clever idea to be able to use the extra white layers to the napkins. I don’t care for the sheen on those elements so this technique is awesome! I have used the Versafine Clair inks for years and they are wonderful for capturing the fine details on intricate stamps. Because these inks stay wet longer I sometimes will blot the stamped image carefully with a blank piece of copier paper so I don’t accidentally smear the image or just give it a few extra seconds before touching. It has a longer open time so it’s also good to use when embossing and they make loads of beautiful colors in this ink too as well as reinkers. Congrats on so many subscribers too! I think whatever you decide to do for celebrating when you reach 10k will be awesome! 🥰
I saw in another video that you used the red, blue and green inks. I love it!!!!!!! I watched them out of order. Thank you so much for sharing. I love your videos.
Hi Suzie. I’ve actually already shared a tour of my craft space. Here”s the link in case you haven’t seen it yet. th-cam.com/video/MJpxjPIbbH0/w-d-xo.html
Hi Marilyn, thank you so much for watching. I ordered my paint brush holder from Temu. Here is the link in case you are interested: share.temu.com/V0hDQfE4yIA
This is super cute. I just happened across your channel today and subscribed. I’m excited to have someone new to watch. I will try to think of ideas for your 10,000 subscribers but I don’t know enough about you yet because this is the first video I’ve seen. Maybe you could feature newer channels you come across to help them out? Idk I’ll think about it. I had a ruff yr last year and planned to get back to my channel but haven’t yet. This coming year I will b making videos for sure though. Congratulations on your channel and I’m excited to go see your other videos
Hi Jamie, welcome to my channel. So glad to have you here joining me. I want to wish you luck on your channel. I’ll have to stop by soon. Thanks for watching.
Hi Sara, I’m so glad you found me. I hope you continue to enjoy my content. About the glossy magazine pages…not sure if it will work. It might be too thin to add the glue but might be worth a try. Let me know how it works if you decide to try it. I’m curious too. Thanks for watching
Maggie these are great. I love seeing all the ideas you come up with. Enjoy watching your channel. I have a TH-cam and I am from Georgia too. I live about 1/2 way between Atlanta and Macon. You, north/ south? So fun to run across others from your state.😃
Thanks for the tip. I was thinking about using my wet brush but it would take too long to dry for the video. I’ll use that when I make more. Thanks for watching
What a good idea!!! I also have some glossy ephemera that is thicker and was not sure what to do with it, not anymore! 😃 Could you cut the edges with scissors if you wanted too?
Hi Teresa, you could definitely cut the edges, but I suggest not in a straight line so you have a variation of lengths. It will give a more original look. Thanks so much for watching
HI Maggie I love this idea...I've been hoarding my Tim Holtz things too lol ..........could you please tell me where you purchased the drawers you keep your TH ephemera in?? I'm not sure if you showed them in a video or not but I'd love to do something like that.........ty Kerry ❤
Hi Kerry, I’m so glad you enjoyed this project. I bought the acrylic drawer from Marshalls, TJ Maxx and Home Goods. I love them so much, really keeps me organized and love that they are clear so I can see exactly what I have. Thanks so much for watching
This newbie stumbled upon your channel and love it. ❤ Lot's of great ideas.I love to own a small piece of each of my mentors craft work. How/ where can I purchase one of your masterpieces?
Hello and welcome to my channel. Glad you liked this project. I’m very humbled. Thank you so much, I’m still learning too. I plan to add mystery goodie bags of my makes on my Etsy shop soon. I’ll announce when they are available. Thanks for watching
@sandypeppers6861 Sorry Sandy, I try to give notice in advance so that people are aware of when I’ll list them in my shop. Hopefully you can snag on in the next collection. :)
Really enjoyed your tutorial and love the napkin technique! I will be trying it out today on some ephemera I put away for too long. I just have to ask if you’re a midwestern girl?? You surely don’t sound homegrown southern. I’m a Wisconsinite! Greetings!!📓📜🖇️🔖📰
Hi Laurie, so happy to hear you enjoyed this project. That is exactly why I decided to do something with my ephemera..it was hoarded for way too long. I am not homegrown. I am a Cali girl born and raised. Been in Georgia for 14 years now but visit back home at least twice a year.
Hi Maggie. I enjoy watching you play very much. What is the tool you used to hold your brush? You brought it into the workspace around 6:48 on the video.
Maggie I have been watching your channel for a while now and love everything you do. You have so many ideas. I think this is the first I’ve heard that you are in Georgia…I’m in Georgia too! I am about 1/2 way between Atlanta and Macon. Are you north, south? I think it is fun to find someone from your same state.😀
Hi Amy, I’m sure it might work on that too. My only concern is when applying the glue that the image might start to curl since magazine paper is fairly thin. It might be better to glue it to a thicker cardstock first. Thanks so much for watching
Maggie! My vote is… do mystery packs for sale. Also, giveaways are good too! I love what you include with your dangle thank you gifts! I cherish them! ❤
Hi Mimi, you are so sweet. I’m keeping track of everyone’s suggestions to post a poll soon. Thanks for supporting my channel!
This is a great way to use those bigger layer pieces! 🎉
Hi Desiree, so happy you enjoyed this project. They were so much fun to make. Thanks for watching
I just love those. My idea for your 10,000 give away is ask everyone what they like making in mass make. Congrats! Glad to be part of the group. I'm in colorado.
Hi Isabel, thanks so much for your suggestion. Thanks so much for watching! :)
I would love a craft space tour. Or, you could start an organize with me series. Congratulations on 10,000 stubbies. I have been binge watching your videos. I love this grungy project. 🤗 You are doing a great job with your videos.
You are so sweet. Thank you so much. Looks like a craft space tour is coming soon. Thanks for watching

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. I have such a gallery of REAL ancestors that I want to use! Have had COVID since the 18th and am so grateful that I get to enjoy your talent!
Hi Barbara, using your real ancestry sounds amazing. I hope you’re better soon. Wishing you nothing but the best. Thanks for watching
This is a genius idea and I love how the wrinkles on the photos give the appearance that the photos have cracked. It makes them look authentic. Everyone loves a give-a-way!
Thank you so much. Glad you enjoyed this project. Also, thanks for the suggestion.
I love the grunge! This is an excellent idea, uses up those dreaded shiny pieces and wasted napkin layers!
Hi Katrina, so happy you enjoyed this project. They are a lot of fun to make. I hope you give it a try. Thanks for watching
This is fabulous, love how you created these… need to try!! Thanks for sharing 😻
Thanks Sandie, so glad you liked it. Thanks so much for watching
Love, love, love these!! You are by far my favorite crafter, no...artist! And that's what you are, an artist. To celebrate your 10k, I think you should do a giveaway with a goodie box. You are very good, trust me you will have many people watching.
Thanks so much Bonnie. You are very sweet
Awesome use of napkin layers. During the toilet paper shortage, the extra white layers came handy, LOL. So glad you are feeling better.
Oh you had me laughing! But now we found another use for them. Lol
Thanks Leslie!
I LOVE THESE!!!
Thanks for watching Holly
To me this is junk journaling! Thx, loved this 😊
Thanks so much for watching Cybel
Love Tim Holtz ephemera. These are awesome. I can envision using pictures from magazines for these also.
I've seen crafters use paper towels to line the inside of their handmade boxes. The plain layers of napkins would be useful for that, too.
I also love the torn edge and the darker edge. It's perfect.
So glad you enjoyed this project June. The possibilities are endless. Thanks for watching. Have a great weekend
These are so fabulous and I would not have thought about using the white part of napkins to decoupage and get rid of the shine. Well done.
Hi Linda, thanks! So glad you liked this idea. I had a lot of fun playing with it. Thanks for watching
A new thing to me. I love this technique
Thanks Pam. It’s amazing what a piece of napkin, collage medium and distress oxide can do, right? I love the way they turned out. So glad you enjoyed it too. Thanks so much for watching
Great way to use those glossy pieces up!! These are great!!🥰🥰🥰
Hi Kimberly, thanks so much for watching. So glad you liked it
Those are really cute. They remind me of documents that survived a fire. The new Tim Holtz Distress color Scorched Timber would be really cool as an alternative to Ground Espresso. The storyteller in me imagines finding them in an old box. Hmmm … do I feel a novel coming on? Fun stuff! ❤📚
Hi Laurie, I do really need to get my hands on the Scorched Timber. That needs to be part of my collection. PS I’d read that novel! :) Lol
Glad to find your channel. Your tutorials are so inspirational 👏 ❤😊🙏
Thanks so much for watching Stephanie
I also think you have a nice craft place.

Hi, I’ve been watching you for a couple months and love your work. I love the grungy look. I moved and had to get rid of most of my craft supplies and not crafting right now and miss it tremendously. I can't believe this! I was literally just looking at the all the cards trying to figure out what to do with them. Thank you, this is brilliant.😊

Tip: use scotch tape sticky side out wrapped around your fingers to separate the layers of napkin - works great. Love your videos.
Brilliant! 💖💖💖
Thanks for the tip Janet. I’ll try that next time. Thanks so much for watching
Masking tape also works
I have been listening to you half the day. Your voice is so soothing. I've been organizing my new craft supplies. Love your videos. So glad I found you.

Such an awesome idea! I'm pulling my glossy ephemera, and napkins out right now. I don't like the glossy finish and this is the perfect solution 💖💖💖
That’s amazing! I’m so glad you like this project. I’m with you, I like the print design not the gloss. Thanks for watching

Hi Karen, you are so sweet. I’ll have to try my water pen next time. I’ll just have to wait to let it dry before distressing the edges. Perfect for mass making though. Thanks for the tip Karen, and thanks for always watching!
that was very interesting and inspiring. for sure I will try that. thanks for sharing 😊
So glad you enjoyed it. Thanks so much for watching
Very cool technique! I enjoy watching your videos so much I decided to subscribe to your channel, thank you for sharing.
Thanks so much for subscribing Kimberly. I appreciate you watching and enjoy my channel
Another unique idea! ❤❤❤
Thanks Brooke.
You ask about what to do to celebrate... I would love it if I could win a small sampling of your ephemera! You make such diverse stuff a sample of one of each would be awesome!
Hi Laurie, thank you so much for the suggestion. That’s such a compliment. Happy to hear you enjoy my projects. Thanks for watching
Great job! I really love the texture and layers! I’m going to make some with printables printed on cardstock! So cool! I’m a new subscriber.
Hi Janice, welcome to my channel. Thanks so much for subscribing. These would definitely look great on printables too. Thanks for watching

Lol
Hey Maggie, another great idea!! I love using napkins in my crafts, but I always just toss the white layer. Thank you for sharing!!
Hey Michelle, glad you enjoyed this technique. Thanks for watching
What a great idea!!! I love it!
Thanks for watching Donna
Hi Maggie! So glad your feeling better. This project is great, how did you think of it? You are so creative! Can’t wait to try this! 🌻
Hi Karen, I wanted to use up my glossy ephemera somehow. So I was thinking of ways to matte them and then came this idea. Thanks for always watching Karen! It’s always a pleasure to hear from you
Love this! I will definitely be trying! ❤
Hi Jill thanks for watching
Thank youuuuu for sharing ❤ love this, sharing and we can craft together with you ❤
Hi Mia, glad you enjoyed this project. That would be so great to be able to craft together. Thanks for watching
Love this project! First time watching your channel and subscribed 😊❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hi Cheryl, welcome to my channel. So happy to know you enjoyed this project. It was so much fun to make as you can tell, I couldn’t stop. I’m still making them. Lol
Thanks so much for watching
Hi Belinda, thanks for the tip in using the Versafine inks. That’s going to be very helpful. Thanks again for watching
Ty. So now what? Great video.
Hi Penne, now you can add them to your journal however you like. Thanks for watching
I would love to see you use some red ink on these or maybe green. I love everything you did here. Super cool ideas. Thank you for sharing.
Hi Elisabeth, I’ll have to try colored inks. I’m curious to see how those would look too. Thanks for watching
When you mentioned it I was shouting red, red, red but you didn't hear me. 😂
@elisabethfreeland4566 Darn it…you’ll have to scream louder next time. Lol
I saw in another video that you used the red, blue and green inks. I love it!!!!!!! I watched them out of order. Thank you so much for sharing. I love your videos.
This is fabulous!!! I’d love to see your craft space.
Hi Suzie. I’ve actually already shared a tour of my craft space. Here”s the link in case you haven’t seen it yet.

Sorry about the name change Maggie, senior fingers 😂😂😅😅
So funny! I was like…who is Sue?! Lol
I have just found you. Great work. Looks really good. Just wondering, would this work with glossy magazines. Take care Sara x
So fun to run across others from your state.😃
Thanks so much for watching. I’m glad you are enjoying my content. I live in NE Georgia. So great to meet you. I’ll have to visit your channel too. :)
Awesome as always. What could I use if I don't have Glossy ephemera but tons of mat? Would this work on mat? Love your ideas so much.
Hi Rikki, I think if it’s thick enough it should work. I would have to try it to know for sure, but thanks so much for watching.
If you run a wet paint brush along where you want to rip the edges off, it helps while tearing.
Thanks for the tip. I was thinking about using my wet brush but it would take too long to dry for the video. I’ll use that when I make more. Thanks for watching
@@SunsetCrafts You just use a little fine tip brush, it doesn't make the whole thing wet. Try it on a scrap!
@faodail3913 Thanks!
@@SunsetCraftsI went to Marshalls to look for them and I found them! I am so excited…not that I put my ephemeral in the yet…lol.
@Missben702 So glad you found them. You are going to love them! :)
@@SunsetCrafts thank you so much I will have to search for them🩷
This newbie stumbled upon your channel and love it.
Dangle giveaway for ten thousand!!
That should’ve been another option. Thanks Sandy
@@SunsetCrafts Sorry to sound presumptuous, but your dangles are fab, and I just can’t seem to be in time to buy any!
Hi Teri, the white paint brush holder I bought from Temu. Here’s the link: share.temu.com/Ge1mA2jUo1A
I hope this helps. Thanks for watching Teri!
Maggie I have been watching your channel for a while now and love everything you do. You have so many ideas. I think this is the first I’ve heard that you are in Georgia…I’m in Georgia too! I am about 1/2 way between Atlanta and Macon. Are you north, south? I think it is fun to find someone from your same state.😀
@@SunsetCrafts thank you. That was helpful.
This might work with shine magazine images
Hi Amy, I’m sure it might work on that too. My only concern is when applying the glue that the image might start to curl since magazine paper is fairly thin. It might be better to glue it to a thicker cardstock first. Thanks so much for watching
you can use a piece of tape to pull them apart too.
Thanks for the tip Jan
I live in south Georgia
Right on. I’m in NE Georgia. :)
