Frehley's Comet hosting MTV's Headbanger's Ball, 6/25/1988, to promote their Second Sighting album. The band is Ace Frehley, John Regan, Tod Howarth, and Jamie Oldaker. Included are all of the hosting segments, a few Metal Detector news segments with Adam Curry, and a few MTV bumpers.
The highlights here are Ace demonstrating his famous smoking guitar and a weird demonstration from Eddie Trunk of Megaforce Records (now of That Metal Show).

First time I've seen this since 1988, right after I turned 14. This was maybe the 3rd or 4th time I'd watched the Ball and being a KISS fan, I was ecstatic Frehley's Comet was hosting!

Got to see Ace do a club show a few mos before Covid blew up and he did the smoking guitar. Got a great shot of him too when he walked from one side of the stage to the other trailing the smoke behind him. Great show!
