That car is a fine example of a bygone era-the time when luxury meant smooth, comfortable cars with Boulevard Ride. Driving an Electra was an accomplishment that demonstrated that a motorist enjoyed the finer things in life and appreciated a stately, refined motorcar. This car is truly an icon of a great era for American luxury cars.
My Dad bought a ‘59 caddy new. I passed my driving test in it. Longer than this actually. Lots more chrome. A more tasteful interior. So I know what it’s like to live with one of these needlessly huge cars. This model, especially, has a lot of tacked on stuff to make it appear luxurious and high end. Large panel gaps, pieces that appear to fit loosely. A plastic grille. Probably has a wimpy 120 hp engine.
Wow beautiful car! Cant understand the thumbs down, this car is way more beautiful than today's boring pieces of crap.and this car is dated.....that is absolutely pitiful
I know, right? This is one of these cars that should be PRESERVED! I have seen so many of cars such as these with ridiculously large rims and it gets me thinking, "Now why did they have to do that?". That car is a beaut, so much that it's like stepping back to 1983. It's a rolling time capsule.
@@knowbodiesfull5768 I agree with both of you guys but let's not forget who created this in the first place. They're actual grill and belts made especially for this car E&G. Now the big rim shit stupid and it destroys the cars, but that's them. A nice pair of vogue tires wouldn't hurt it.
Oregonized PotHead that car is worth WAY MORE than $1,500... , EASY! car is in perfect condition in & out! even the door jabs is perfect! most cars are filthy in that area... plus it's a RARE 2 DR COUPE! GM didn't make that many!! car is in a used car lot as u can see In the background... the dealer ,my guess wants 15 grand to 20... that car is all original, down to the filler panels even the paint! i wouldn't be surprised if the engine in that Car is SUPER clean..I went back to look at the video again... chrome is perfect on the bumpers... car is worth a hell of alot more than 1,500... collector car enthusiasts will tell u it's worth more than $1,500...car is in #1 condition... Kelly blue book value will tell u the real price!! what a beautiful looking 83 Buick Electra coupe tho!! my god...!
