Oh my God I LOVEEE THIS! Seeing the “so make the friendship bracelets, take the moment and taste it, you’ve got no reason to be afraid!” and the scenes of him with Dustin, Nancy, Robin and the entire gang that made him happy. That gave him purpose and meaning and made his life all round crazier yeah, but so much brighter !! After all the gloom, and even as the popular kid, high school sucked, people were fake and my guy went through a lot but he came out of it all so much stronger and *that* is what I love about Steve. small thing but I really liked how Eddie Munson was the only person who hadn't actually pointed it out that he was a terrible person before 1984. Like he was the only person who actually talked about how surprised he was that Steve Harrington wasn't being a douche and was risking his life to help people who a few years earlier he probably hated the thought of. It shows how Steve grew as a a character and I'm super upset about how they through all of his development out of the window in season 4 making him fall for Nancy again.
I've been watching this video like once a day for the past two weeks. It honestly is just so good. I dont tear up every time I watch it, but I do occasionally let a few tears slip. It's just crazy how this video perfectly encapsulates how I see Steve's character. I love this video. It has such a sad undertone to it. Like I think that's part of why I get emotional is that it feels like a goodbye to Steve like a tribute to a character who's not gonna make it out of the series alive
I never thought of pairing this song with Steve Harrington’s character, but this is an amazingly successful mashup! It shows how at this stage in his life, Steve is trying to figure out who he really is. He thinks that Nancy sees the real him (she calls him on his ruses, like smoking to look cool). When Nancy can’t say that she loves him, Steve loses the one person who he really opened up to; the person he most wanted love and acceptance from. We see the vulnerable, real person under Steve’s obvious facade as the handsome, popular “King of Hawkins High.”

Steve and his arc are so personal to me, as is Taylor’s music and this song, and to see someone create imagery for all of the thoughts and feelings I carry in my head is so amazing. I cried because of this, but in a good way! Character study is my absolute favorite thing and this edit encapsulates every analysis I’ve done for Steve. I can’t even put into words how much this really means to me. I know it sounds dramatic, but it’s true. (I’ve also watched your other ST edits, and my god you have a gift. Heather and Carolina are masterpieces as well). Thank you for creating them ❤
This is a perfect representation of steve's evolution. In the beggining of the edit we see how he was a ashole but in the video, i don't know precisly when, he become the brave, badass and good guy that we all know. So yes, u did a very good job.
i feel like our beloved steve harrington went through so much seen/unseen trauma. like we see him get pushed around a bit, but never fully put the pieces together. his dad's a jerk, probably pressured him to get good grades and play sports and stuff. then steve feels like he needs to keep up his "king harrington" reputation at school. he saves his adoptive children & his friends countless times & they hardly ever tell him thank you. he's never blown up about how they never do anything for him, how he doesn't really get anything in return, and so on. he just keeps protecting because i don't think he ever truly was & joe keery has a great way of portraying that. this edit made me cry (with my joe keery blanket) for finally bringing light to the shadowy side of this comedically relieving character we've all grown to know and love. to steve harrington 🥂
Finally someone who captures the good side of steve harrington, nowadays he's so overhated just because he's still in love with nancy wheeler, or because he was bad in season 1, but people don't realize that he is a good guy he has done more positives then negatives, he's saved so many lives, he's been beaten up just so he could keep people safe, i love this video, it gave me goosebumps, i love that you made this, it really made my day, and by reading this you can probably see that he is my favorite character and i'm not ashamed of that, i'm proud of that, he's funny, good looking and he's had the best character development ever! This is one of the first characters in a show in so long that I have gravitated towards and just identify with so hard. Hos whole character arc is just so relatable to my life! ❤️❤️ This man better get his happy ending!! He more than deserves this!
It's videos like this that really make me want to watch Stranger Things one day even though I haven't gotten around to it the whole time it was currently releasing new seasons. What an AMAZING and powerful edit. Most people are doing multi-fandoms to this song and I love how powerful it is for you to make this song work for one character, even one I don't know, and I can still appreciate so so much about this.
