I love what they did with Steve. It's not just another bully like we had seen it coming at the start. They went against all the character stereotypes and made a very great character out of him, instead of just a bad guy. Plus he really is a wonderful actor, really.
I think it’s interesting that the fights he lost were to people he knew, almost like he held back a bit because he didn’t really want to harm either Jon or Billy. The demogorgan and the guard were mortal threats and Steve’s “fight or flight” instinct seems to pick fight almost every time.

He stops worrying about being popular and starts to care about helping others for the sake of helping. “I want to help.” 0:44 And that I hardly see written well, so thus it’s not basic. It’s actually interesting and makes me *care about his character* .
i can't believe y'all really blame nancy for not being in love. she can't control that. i do agree that steve deserves someone who is in love with him, but blaming it on nancy is a dick move.

And so does Johnathan.
Liv nobody blamed her but she tried hiding that she wasn’t in love with him and couldn’t even say I love you she is selfish and should of told home instead of lying about all the I love you she said to him she really broke his heart and is most likely going to break Jonathan’s ❤️, hopefully one day she will learn to be loyal and honest with people but until than she will keep breaking hearts
The fact that they were gonna kill Steve off first season, but loved joe so much they decided to keep him on makes me LIVE!! Steve is such a multi-surfaced character, definitely one of the best fictional characters
Tbh I kinda believe that Steve can beat up anyone but he chooses not to. Like he thinks he deserves the pain Edit: I know some people disagree but I think this is the case for what happened with Jonathon and in certain other situations. I mean I definitely think Steve would have beaten J, I mean he literally beat a demagorgon and couldn’t beat Jonathon? Uh I don’t think so. I believe that he could have squashed J if he had wanted to, I do believe that Billy won though because Billy is a lot stronger. I think that maybe Steve has a few issues because he beat up a Russian guard, a man trained to hurt people and he couldn’t win other fights which were probably a lot easier? I’m also not saying Steve is depressed I more so think he thinks he deserves pain sometimes. Also took some ideas and thoughts from the comments, to add to the reasoning for me saying this, so thanks to those people for adding to this. Also thanks for all the likes ahh I’ve never had so many
He’s character is so complex and is one of my favourite characters ever, his personal development is amazing and I feel like many people can relate to him
"It's ok, Nanc, it's ok" - I think that's the moment when I finally gave up on holding back my emotions. This really tells something when such videos can make you feel things, so wow, bravo. Thank u for making me cry :D But really it was amazing!
It's 2022 and I'm still tearing up watching this after realizing how much Steve has went through the past 4 seasons. This is an amazing edit and perfectly sums up all of it, keep up the good work. 👍
Steve's characters development is incredible. He went from being a asshole, to being a person with a big heart. He loved Nancy since the beginning. Tommy and Carol made fun of him cause he cared and was worried about her in a episode in season 1. Steve was the most loyal boyfriend to Nancy and he basically got cheated on. But that didn't stop him from loving her. Steve said "Nancys different she's not like other girls." there was just something about her that made him love her so much!!!! He became a better person because he wanted to be with her. He changed for her. Steve wants to be with Nancy but he knows she doesn't wanna be with him. That's why when he said "it's ok nance. It's ok." for her to go with Jonathan, it broke my heart. He just wants her to be happy. He deserves someone who will truly love him, to replace the love that Nancy never truly gave to him.
wow I came to realize... i never *truly* understood this character until i watch this video. You made me feel like i was in his head. Seriously i'm so impressed by your work right now. I always loved your videos but this.... *this was an other level* I start to appreciate Steve in the second season. But in the first, i just wasn't paying attention. He was so alone. How could i not see that ?!
Brea Parker in the third season I think he kinda is depressed I mean Nancy broke his heart and didn’t give him a second chance I think he’s just regretting all his bad decisions but then after meeting robin he wishes he had talked to her in school because she was the best girl he’s ever met but she turned out to be lesbian but they are great friends. I guess in the first and second season he was bad ass and in the third they made him look weak idk my opinion
wow!! this is the best video i've ever seen with steve's character!! i love the sound match, and just all the small details and voiceovers you found. must have taken forever. gosh it's so good, just be really proud of this, okay
Steve the guy who always was there fighting the demegorgon and demedog, helping Dustin saving (the world) and being friends with all the kids, this guy sure is someone gonna miss ya Steve hope I’ll see you in season 4
not once were his parents shown in all 4 seasons, shows how is he neglected as a child and probably why he cares for kids and treats them nicely cause he was never cared for and treated like that
"You're acting like it's all okay... Like .. we're in love and we're partying..." "What do you mean.... like...we're in love ?.... You Don't Love Me?" I swear that face..... Sadness
Steve would do anything for his friends, for the kids and i think that is the most admirable thing someone could possess. he lives for his friends and he cares so much about them and you could see that love and care grow throughout the seasons. he has gotten his ass beat to the ground to the point he can't breathe to protect those kids. he has done unspeakable things just to protect his friends so they didn't have to do it instead. i love Steve with my whole heart and i never will not love him. Steve deserves the whole entire world and I won't stop preaching him until he gets said treatment.
Everytime I watch this video it makes me feel this weird feeling, like I miss him, and I want to give him a hug, hang out for a bit and tell him that everything’s gonna be alright
There's been 6 years since this video, and I still can't get over it, I love it to the very minimum details, the connections on the scenes and dialogues you've made, the sync in the beat, and cuts, this is pure Art. Thank you so much for this. I Really appreciate it. Seen this character through your lens was amazing, and I can't see it in other way but yours anymore.

this is so deep. I just realised how much steve went through. So many emotions, sacrifice and responsibility. Just a one serie, just stupid "fuuny" charcter but Steve is really King for me
Very well edited and very hard to watch at the same time. I think there's a lot of depth to Steve's character; even in the first season, you could see he had a good heart but lacked a support system/good influences. I also think it's telling we've literally never seen anyone from his family and all we get are tidbits like "my father's a grade A asshole" and indications that they're gone a lot/his dad cheats on his mom. Anyway, all I'm trying to say was this was beautifully done and the parallels and characterization all make it so poignant- which you just don't see enough of from Steve videos in my opinion. Great, great job and phenomenal editing. Thanks so much for sharing!
This is such a well-made video, i keep coming back to watch it despite it making me teary-eyed everytime. I'm really worried for Steve in S4, without spoiling anything, i have a feeling if something bad happens this video is gonna hurt 10x more. :(
Going along with the, “no parents, big house” thing, where are his parents? I mean, in the story, this whole thing spans like 3 years, and where are Steve’s parents throughout this? Like, he gets beat up, yet his parents don’t even help him or anything? If they’re there in the first place?
He said in season 3 that his dad was something... I forget but basically his dad is just really somebody you can't be dependant on, like billy's dad kinda but not abusive
I genuinely think this might've been the best Stranger Things edit ever. I've never actually replayed an edit like this before. This is unbelievably good
Steve is a character who grew up alone, his dad, as he puts it..... is a massive douche. He is a kid who grew up alone witha dvice from his douche dad, but he isnt like his dad. He is going through a redemption ark in where he has to learn abput past mistakes and move on. He will be eventually be the strongest and most badass character within the series since he is the only one to kill/ battle a Demogorgon/Demodog without firearms. He will eventually fill in Hopper's place as guardian.
This might've been the best Season 1 and Season 2 edit I've ever seen especially of Steve. This really is his character and his arc, what makes him so relatable. This was beautiful man, I had to give this a like
I'm no longer actively into Stranger Things but I still come back to this video semi-frequently. It's such an excellent like,, culmination of Steve's arc and it is just SO perfectly edited. Thank you so much for making this video it's just wonderful!
This is so well made from the beat timing matching up with natural beats occurring in the clips to the mood being set from past and present scenes and how they relate to each other. Definitely made me cry
@@Shainira Seriously though. Whenever I get a random nostalgia hit of stranger things, or need one lol, I go to this video. It makes me feel something. He stops worrying about being popular and starts to care about helping others for the sake of helping. “I want to help.” 0:44 And that I hardly see written well, so thus it’s not basic. It’s actually interesting and makes me *care about his character* .
This broke my heart. Steve deserves so much better than Nancy. :( I want him to be happy. He was my favorite character right from the start
sharksandsheep
Same here
i can't believe y'all really blame nancy for not being in love. she can't control that. i do agree that steve deserves someone who is in love with him, but blaming it on nancy is a dick move.
@@uoluvr I don't think anyone is blaming her for not being in love. They're blaming her for being a bitch. She's got so many issues, and even with Johnathan, she doesn't even bother to recognize that she's the problem. That's a toxic kind of person, and so yes: Steve deserves so much better than Nancy.
My favorite video on TH-cam, Steve deserves better, He better be a way way bigger part in Season 3.
Thank you so much!
beckett he had a huge part in season 2
He was so good is season three
beckett he is
I meant he does have a bigger part in season 3
The fact that they were gonna kill Steve off first season, but loved joe so much they decided to keep him on makes me LIVE!! Steve is such a multi-surfaced character, definitely one of the best fictional characters
i usually dont like these types of videos, but you did a great job capturing steves character.
thanks ^^
Tbh I kinda believe that Steve can beat up anyone but he chooses not to. Like he thinks he deserves the pain
Edit: I know some people disagree but I think this is the case for what happened with Jonathon and in certain other situations.
Also thanks for all the likes ahh I’ve never had so many
Holly Lightfoot this is so sad, it makes me wanna cry.
It would explain how he beats up monsters without hesitation but barely wins against people.
Danielle Therese Abrenica you’re probably fockin right too
This got me good 😢
Holly Lightfoot hahahaha
He’s character is so complex and is one of my favourite characters ever, his personal development is amazing and I feel like many people can relate to him
I've liked this guy since season 1. Glad he's never disappointed
Sean Sheridan i know same here it’s an unpopular opinion but i did liked him since the first season
He seemed like a good guy. It was just his friends that made him look shit imo.
The best thing about Steve is no matter how hard he’s been beaten he’ll still be the one to try and protect everything
This is pure ART honestly the way he said “you don’t love me?” And carol says “DING DING DING” hits hard 😞
thank you!
"It's ok, Nanc, it's ok" - I think that's the moment when I finally gave up on holding back my emotions. This really tells something when such videos can make you feel things, so wow, bravo. Thank u for making me cry :D But really it was amazing!
oohh thank you so much! I hoppe it was a good kind of crying :')
yeah, it was ;)
the best most well rounded character in the series with the best storyline and character development. I’m in love with Steve Harrington and joe Keery.
When he says, “It’s okay Nance” and accepts the reality of the situation it tears me apart.🤕
Season 1: Nancy
Season 2: Nancy
Season 3: *AhOy LaDiEs*
It's 2022 and I'm still tearing up watching this after realizing how much Steve has went through the past 4 seasons. This is an amazing edit and perfectly sums up all of it, keep up the good work. 👍
thank you :')
*this was an other level*
I start to appreciate Steve in the second season. But in the first, i just wasn't paying attention. He was so alone. How could i not see that ?!
awww! Thank you so much!!! It means a lot...That's basicaly why I needed to make this video, to make people see Steve the way I see him :')
It’s so sad seeing how much hurt he’s been thru, but in the 3rd season he seems so much happier. I feel for him so much.
“You don’t love me??”
*ding ding ding*
😢😢😢
😭😭😭
Let’s talk about the perfect editing skills and how she linked all these plots together and they fit more than anything ? I love it so muchhh❤️
thank you so much :')
Shainira how do you edit like this
wow!! this is the best video i've ever seen with steve's character!! i love the sound match, and just all the small details and voiceovers you found. must have taken forever. gosh it's so good, just be really proud of this, okay
awww! Thank you so much :')
Steve the guy who always was there fighting the demegorgon and demedog, helping Dustin saving (the world) and being friends with all the kids, this guy sure is someone gonna miss ya Steve hope I’ll see you in season 4
i’ve watched it so many times i’ve come to the point when just the title alone makes me cry
I went from hating Steve to seeing myself in him more than I ever knew.
that moment when Steve pulls up to the school with Dustin, he leaves but Steve stays, takes a look to Nancy and leaves. Still breaking my heart
This is such a different side of Steve. A just an important side of Steve. I love this
Thank you so much! I think a lot of people forget about this side of him so it was important for me to show it :')
2:12 u can literally see his heart break when Nancy said she didn't love him my poor Steve😭
this is the most beautiful thing i’ve ever seen in my life i can’t even-
thank you :')
not once were his parents shown in all 4 seasons, shows how is he neglected as a child and probably why he cares for kids and treats them nicely cause he was never cared for and treated like that
"You're acting like it's all okay... Like .. we're in love and we're partying..."
"What do you mean.... like...we're in love ?.... You Don't Love Me?"
I swear that face..... Sadness
Nzeru Socia ding ding ding
I don’t normally comment on videos like this but this is really impressive. You did a really awesome job on this
It's been two years and I still think about this edit. It's so, so good. The parallels break my heart
thank you! :')
@@Shainira thank YOU for creating it, it's AMAZING
Steve is something else man, his character has developed so much. The ending “it’s okay Nance…it’s okay” 🖤💔
“Like were in love?” Kills me everytime. Joe’s line delivery is so genuine and amazing.
Wow i havent seen this video in years still gives me chills
:')
“no, i’m not crying, you are”
*currently crying*
Steve’s character development is kinda inspiring in a strange way
This made me cry , his character has developed so much and now I feel bad for all the shit he’s gone through
Steve is definitely my favorite in stranger things, his redemption makes him so lovable and he's the sweetest to his friends.
And he loves the kids so much. He's a great baby sitter to them.
This is completely captures his entire character so so beautifully and it’s making me entirely to emotional
thank you :')
every other tribute of steve shows the iconic side of him. but this showed the emotional side. amazing video!
the music in the background is fitting just perfectly
Seen this character through your lens was amazing, and I can't see it in other way but yours anymore.
hfsdlgkd thank you so much! it means a lot :')
@@Shainira the way you laughed was very odd, you're not from brazil, are you? I just guessing cuz here in brazil we often laugh by just typing random letters on the keyboard but I've never seen someone from other countries do that
@@guilhermegontijo2461 nope, i am not. i use random letters just to express that i don't know what to say in a way like just random "letter vomit", so in this case i used it cause i got caught off guard by so much flattery, which i appreciate ^^
I'm actually from Spain, i had no idea it was used to express laughter in Brazil... is gonna be weird to use that now for me, now i'm wondering how many people thought I was laughing 😅
this is so deep. I just realised how much steve went through. So many emotions, sacrifice and responsibility. Just a one serie, just stupid "fuuny" charcter but Steve is really King for me
Steve Harrington in season 3 is a whole new person
I think we can all agree that Steve has made the best character development out of the series.
Steve’s character is done so well. He went from being one of my least favorites to one of the greatest characters in Stranger Things.
This shows how good of a character Steve truly is
"Okay good she's only gonna break ur heart and ur way too young for that shit" damn I felt that
I want a stranger things spinoff about Steve and his adventures NOW!!!!
Netflix MAKE IT HAPPEN!
Exactly!! I wish I could have used more quotes about his parents but I didn't find the right place to put them...
Thank you so much! :')
still the greatest edit of anything i’ve ever seen. story written in this so well, every clip is perfectly not too long, not too short
thank you so much!
This is such a well-made video, i keep coming back to watch it despite it making me teary-eyed everytime. I'm really worried for Steve in S4, without spoiling anything, i have a feeling if something bad happens this video is gonna hurt 10x more. :(
thanks!! Steve better be okay by the end of the season... and the series
Can we pls get a Steve Harrington spin off tv show
*Steve's Things*
@@sonnee44 *Steve's Thing*
Yes, please
Going along with the, “no parents, big house” thing, where are his parents? I mean, in the story, this whole thing spans like 3 years, and where are Steve’s parents throughout this? Like, he gets beat up, yet his parents don’t even help him or anything? If they’re there in the first place?
so sad 😭
They're always working, that's why they have a "high social class" life.
But that's why Steve wants to do things for himself, work from scratch.
He said in season 3 that his dad was something... I forget but basically his dad is just really somebody you can't be dependant on, like billy's dad kinda but not abusive
yeah they sound negligent as all hell
My comfort character has been through so so much🥺I wish and I hope he one day has it better
“Steve...”
“It’s okay, Nance. It’s okay.”
I genuinely think this might've been the best Stranger Things edit ever. I've never actually replayed an edit like this before. This is unbelievably good
thank you so much :)
Nancy: I love you too
Steve: your so cute when you lie
Just let that sink in
Dude this is breathtaking. It clearly took some insane dedication and editing skills to put this together, major props
thank you ^^
Steve is a character who grew up alone, his dad, as he puts it..... is a massive douche.
This was beautiful man, I had to give this a like
thank you!
I'm no longer actively into Stranger Things but I still come back to this video semi-frequently. It's such an excellent like,, culmination of Steve's arc and it is just SO perfectly edited. Thank you so much for making this video it's just wonderful!
wow, thanks! :')
This is so well made from the beat timing matching up with natural beats occurring in the clips to the mood being set from past and present scenes and how they relate to each other. Definitely made me cry
thank you! :')
@@Shainira Seriously though. Whenever I get a random nostalgia hit of stranger things, or need one lol, I go to this video. It makes me feel something. It brings together all the important parts from big to small. Thank you so much for putting in so much effort in time it probably took to make this. As someone who has some editing experience myself. I can really appreciate this.
Wow I never really noticed how Steve has lost everything, how depressing his life really is.
I’m so glad he has robin as his best friend now
I love how He was Portrayed as A Most Bad Character in the beginning, but slowly We Get to Know Him More and Eventually Becomes the Most Important Character...
I actually can’t stop watching this, the music & editing is so perfect
thank you!
