After dislocating my shoulder and giving myself a healthy dose of nerve damage, I can confidently say that electric scooters and snow do not mix. I am thankful my safety gear protected the rest of my body and that's all that happened. Even dirt bikes struggle in snow. You fell in a similar way I did, actually. Fortunately you didn't hit pavement like me. It took a fairly serious injury for me to learn my lesson.
I would LOVE to see winter range tests of your whole fleet. I'm a 240lb Canadian in Montreal, and would love to have a ballpark of how quickly a battery will die in the winter compared to the summer. Ideally with both range and time duration, compared to the summer stats, if possible. Love your channel. Keep up the great work, and the good vibes!
I range tested my Varla Pegasus in the 6-20°F as it's been my commuter while my car is in the shop. I get about 10-12 miles and it goes 24-26MPH max. I'm usually charging at ~47v and max speed is 18-21mph at that point. It's convinced me that I need heated gloves and that I'm just as crazy at almost 40 as I was as a teen.
Almost feared we were going to get the return of SCAB or possibly worse judging by the title of the video, but I'm glad to see that you're doing okay and had fun playing in the snow.
Hey ginger! Ever go “para-scooting”?? Get yourself a Wolf Warrior, a parachute; take off; mount the scooter to your backpack, and you can fly on a scooter !!
Cool video , snow is challenging for any device ! The lingo ,Sketchy is mostly a west coast thing I think , in my mind I'm replacing it with risky . lol

not that I've tried. but if it's true that single motor performs better, it's probably because the front wheel does the steering. if it's also trying to accelerate, well, it only has so much grip
EUCs tend to perform better on snow thanks to the extremely smooth and precise "throttle" and "brake" control and surprisingly strong grip with a single contact patch concentrating all the weight.
@@Blox117 hehe exactly. If the front wheel loses grip you're down, if the rear wheel loses grip you might be down as well unless you're skilled & lucky enough to recover it. And each wheel have only a fraction of the grip. I wonder if mathematically it's 2x or 4x the risk to fail - or something else entirely
They need to make a bolt on hard cover. That's water resistant and keeps your battery warm in winter for better range, but not so warm it melts on you....
Beware of salt rusting your scooter though. Depending on your city. I live in Vancouver BC where people are still not too used to having huge amount of snow, so they keep dumping crazy amount of salt on roads/sidewalks thinking "more is better". I tried riding out tonight, but when I got home my scooter brought back a crystal layer of salt all over the deck/wheel. I don't look forward to seeing rust or corrosion on my scooter...

Hey dude good seeing u back I road few times very fun but tricky til u get use to it But don’t that damage the controller or motor ? Because wet moisture?
For me no E-toys in snow, due to copious corrosive salt that my city dumps tons of, everywhere, in anticipation of any snow. Which I fear will get inside and while wet create havoc... But, that said.... in theory, purposely reducing tire pressure might improve traction. Not so much to where damage might occur, but maybe worth experimenting with while there's snow to play in.
If you want to drive in snow you need off-road tires and spikes would be good. Already exists to make yourself up. Greetings from Vienna Austria safe ride
I bought a used Mantis V2 recently, pretty good all around scooter. It only has the 18kwh battery, I wish it had the larger battery. Is there any reason I can't buy the larger one and directly replace it (I'm assuming it's plug and play)?
I used my es4 all winter i just added screws into the tire tread. Worked amazingly good and when i removed them the tires held up fine with minimum scaring my mantis pro however has the 10x3 street tires and doesnt handle snow at all. My titan pro does great though
