- Finally putting the custom exhaust on my BMW X5 35i. This muffler should fit almost any BMW with the N55 engine BMW 335I, BMW 535I, BMW 640I, BMW 740I, BMW X5 35I, AND BMW 6X 35I. Full exhaust sounds before and after in this video including cold starts, revs and launch control.

They both dont sound bad to me. Obviously the aftermarket one is designed for more flow = loud. But I like the stock one because its BURLY at a comfortable level.

Muffler shop did a great job on the bends. Sounds great almost exact like the mpe I also have the super 10 haven’t installed it in yet still between the vibrant and the super probably going to order the downpipe for it first
Both muffler sound great. The reason I went with the vibrant and not my super 10 is I didn't want the X5 as loud as my x6m as that's my everyday vehicle, but it still sounds great a lot more deep and aggressive than the factory exhaust. Either one you run with you will be happy though.
That Monte Carlo was definitely a beast. Wish you would’ve kept her.

What’s going on bro crazy how I went to a dealership today and got approved for a 2016 x5 drive35i I’m picking it up in the next day or two but I was wondering what to look after for what to expect this will be my first bmw

@@Bstunna408 Thanks for supporting the channel fam and welcome to the AutoLust family 🚀. Congratulations on the new bimmer🏆 The N55 is a very highly reliable engine. You should change the oil early at least every 4500 mi and use 5W-40 euro oil if you live in a hot area or drive your car pretty hard. Only use top tier fuel stations as well. A lot of people don't know, but BMWs are very picky about the brand of fuel you put in them. Just any 93 octane won't do. You want to make sure it's a clean fuel station. You can find all the clean stations on the top tier fuels website. Other than that just change the transmission fluid and filter every 80,000 mi maximum The rest of the fluids/oils can be changed with regular fluid interval times from BMW. You want to make sure you do all of these things correctly to make the engine last and make sure you take care of any maintenance problems or repairs before adding power. Watch all the videos in the X5 playlist as well as the 7 series playlist since they both have the N55.

I’d recommend either the swift spring upgrade or going with slightly stiffer spring rates on the BC Racing coilovers. I went with the standard and the suspension bottoms out from time to time on deviations in the road at hwy speeds. Btw, I’m not slammed so it’s not a matter of me so low being the cause.

I just bought a 2011 BMW X5 35i with the M sport package and I've got the trapezoidal shaped tips. Aaand they sexy looking.. might look into them. . . Looking at all your vids, waitin to see what else your gonna do next and how it works out. Im at, crank no start, working through "everything" now. Towed her home. And doing the damn thing. Plan on doing some videos myself. . . Keep em up Brother, good stuff.

My 2016 X5 35i does NOT sound like your stock exhaust lol. I can’t hear turbo spool like yours. I’m going to have to go thru your channel to see what other mods have been done. I like it.
Thanks for supporting the channel! I also did an exhaust valve flap delete before swapping the muffler so it's a little more aggressive that having one one the exhaust valves closed.

I was looking at this muffler and then decided to go with a flowmaster super 10.....same style tips. I haven't gotten my tune updated since but i woukd argue that mine sounds better than this one . I have the super 10 muffler as well sitting in the garage but I wanted to try the vibrant first. The super 10 does have a more aggressive sound. Thanks for supporting the channel fam and no offense taken at all I agree with you completely.

I love the str8 pipe on my X6M, but my X5 is my daily so it wouldn't work out well for the neighborhood lol but it does sound very good str8 piped.

I thought about doing a delete on my 528i xdrive but it sounds like a civic
A straight pipe 535i it's pushing it on sound so you made a great decision by not doing it for a 528i. I would just swap to a used M sport muffler from the 535i or a vibrant muffler like I did and it should sound good.

Hello, glad you saw your video. Introduced me to a great exhaust muffler system. I have a question for you, will there be archon after installation? My current car is cutting right off the back of the exhaust muffler system. I can't stand that resonance. Will this one have a resonance problem? My car is an X6 35i.
Thanks for supporting the channel. I don't have any heavy drone with this muffler but it is a more aggressive style muffler. As long as you don't mount the tail pipes inside the rear bumper it should be fine. Don't buy the tailpipes in this video by the ones in the video I have here in the link I'm leaving. How are you activating launch control in a 35i? I’ve been trying to figure out if my 2018 has it but no luck yet.
Thanks for supporting the channel. I think lunch control is only available in 35i (M sport) BMWs, but if you don't have a M sport, you can have it coated. You need the sport transmission coding to use launch control.

@@jerry1999a not at all fam. The check engine light definitely shouldn't come on from anything mechanical like adding a muffler. Going catless down pipes without getting a tune. Will cause an engine light though.

Honestly a muffler delete is a great option if you have your car tuned for cold start delete, but if that's too loud finding a used stock x5m/x6m muffler will sound better on the 50i than it did on the M.

@@King_Kofi yes it will fit you just have to modify the exhaust exit piping and tips so they exit out of your stock bumper since the x5m exhaust tip exit are closer to the center of the bumper but a muffler shop should be able to do that for you. Or even easier you can cut the tips and pipes off of your factory muffler and use those on the X5M muffler.

None at all. It's very docile on the interior, but it will waken up in the higher RPM range.
What’s was the inlet id you used to order off the vibrant page ?
From my X5 it was 3in and 2.5in out.

@@luisquelix5487 No. Inlet is always from the engine to the muffler. Outlet is always from the muffler to out the back of the car. Inlet = coming inside the muffler and outlet = leaving the muffler through the exhaust tips.

If you have the same type of stock muffler then yes, but it would have to be done professionally at an exhaust shop.
