  • Hi everyone!! We are finished the garden overhaul and im so excited to show you around our little London courtyard paradise! So after two months of letting those plants bloom a little, it finally feels complete! Going through talking about zoning the garden, designing spaces around how we want the garden to function and a brief talk through some of my favourite plants. As always I’ve shared mistakes and costs too! If there’s anything you want a link for just let me know in the comments. I’ve listed the plants we planted below as well as links to our furniture and materials we ordered.
    My mum visited me this weekend and helped me film it! So applaud her first time filming camera skills hehe. I also managed to pick the random windy hour so sorry for blips in the audio! The little doggy cameo is Agnes who visited with my mum, she’s our family dog.
    See you next time for another video!
    Lots of love,
    Jess x

    What a gorgeous and well thought out garden! The layers of the planting are very balanced and soothing. Zones are definitely the way to go in a small space. Well done!

    You have done a fantastic job with your garden, it really does have the Mediterranean vibe that you were after. It is very difficult to design small spaces and you have done it so well, it still looks spacious and uncluttered. Also very considerate of the wildlife with the planting and the bee house. Well done, I love love love it!
    ...and I also love your dress, it looks great on you! 🙂❤

    I hope you and Freddie have given yourselves a huge pat on the back for all your efforts in both the house Reno and the garden makeover. Both are spectacular and I hope you will enjoy it for years to come. You certainly have the best weather to enjoy your new garden, that's for sure.
    The only thing I can see that you might have done better is to have had the house folding doors, fold to the other side as they kind of block the side passage of your house and are right up against the storage box, might have been better on the other side but that is the only thing I can spot that I would change.
    Enjoy 😎☀️

    • @Jessroseparr
      @Jessroseparr  ปีที่แล้ว

      ahh thanks so so much! we are so chuffed with it. we keep saying we cant believe its ours it feels like a hotel courtyard haha
      yeah I know what you mean its a bit of a faff to get to the hose when the doors as fully opened but we wanted the single door opening on the other side of the set of doors as its the natural walkway out into the garden from the living area as the natural desire line isn't obstructed by the sofa. so throughout the year its the better option even if it is a bit pesky to get to the hose 😎

    Does the 40 foot garden length include the garden office or just the patios? How wide is the garden? Is beautiful - hope you do an update showing how changed now the flowers have had time to grow 😊

      I was initially and we used to cover it but its not sat outside for well over two years exposed to all the elements and its not weathered at all. im not sure what it's coated with but it is very very robust!

    Hey Jess - what species of palms do you have and how do you maintain them so they don’t die in the cold weather? Thank you 😊

    • @Jessroseparr
      @Jessroseparr  ปีที่แล้ว

      eeeek I have no idea the palm was already here when we moved in. The ones in pots we just bought at the garden centre. I went with the opinion that if its being sold in my local garden centre then it can survive in my garden climate 20 minutes down the road :D
