A great tree, it grows where there is water and the old folks called it a swamp oak. Beautiful grain, I’m glad this old tree was harvested and not left to rot.

Mr Sasada, that bark resembles more of a black oak (eastern us) which is of the red oak variety... the heart has a reddish color... :-)
